Maybe I should start with the fact that I waited months to get an appointment. I have been ill for what feels like forever. I was so hopeful to finally get some answers. Finally get a plan of action together for my treatment. Maybe even be able to heal. All of those hopes were shattered the moment Abraham Tucang stepped through the threshold of the patient room. I don't put the title Dr in front of his name, because someone so severely lacking compassion, bedside manner, and the manner in which he treated me doesn't deserve the title. He glanced over my new patient paperwork as be asked me if I'm an intravenous drug user. Then proceeded to tell me that my symptoms inline with someone with Hepatitis. He was completely dismissive and so very carefully worded that I'm fabricating the symptoms I'm experiencing. I broke down sobbing. All these months I've waited to have this appointment, to be told, "I'll send you for blood work and x-rays, I'll follow up with you if it's even necessary". Presumed a drug addict, I assume because I have tattoos and a piercing, probably had the smell of my husband's cigarette on me. So I went and got the blood test done.. got the X-ray taken.. No hepatitis, but in fact arthritis, a vitamin d deficiency, and likely an autoimmune disorder as well.. He doesn't have the decency to call me to tell me any of this. He emails me. Sends a couple of prescriptions to the pharmacy without seeing me again and asks me to come back January 28(close to, I'm not a sure if that is the exact date) at 6pm. I very reluctantly agreed to come back for a follow up. But it never happened. Mr. Tucang's office called me over five times, left numerous voicemails, calling from multiple numbers harassing me to take an earlier appointment time that day. I was unable to accommodate the appointment time change. It's not my responsibility to accommodate my doctor. I called and spoke to the office manager in a heated discussion that led to me using a few choice curse words. I ended up cancelling my appointment. Only to receive a letter from Mr. Tucang stating he would no longer see me as a patient due to my abusive behavior to his staff. (I told her it was bullshit they were harassing me and that I didn't fucking appreciate how I'm being treated) because at that point I had, had enough! I would advise anyone to run far and fast if you're ever referred to him. He's the absolute worst. But if being treated and talked at, not to like you're a steaming hot pile of garbage, by all means...

All the receptionists I have encountered have been very knowledgeable, helpful, and have gone out of their way to make sure all my questions are answered and that I'm comfortable. I've been here frequently in the past few months due to a new diagnosis, and every time I've come in I've had nothing but positive experiences with the staff. Receptionists: polite, informed, kind, and helpful. Nurses/LPNs: friendly, efficient, helpful, and really took the time to make sure they had all my medical history correct and even shared a few jokes with me. One thing that really impressed me the most recent time I came in is that when I went to check in, I asked if there were vending machines or somewhere I could get a drink. The receptionist offered to get me a cup for water, however when I explained that I was asking for a drink because I'm diabetic and my blood sugar was low, so I needed something with sugar in it, she dropped everything to go in the back and get me some orange juice. The receptionist next to her heard what was going on, and she ALSO dropped everything to go find me a juice. I ended up with 2 juices, and was very touched by their eagerness to help me. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because about half the times I've come in, I've had to wait to be called back for 30 minutes or more. Since I expect having to wait now, it's not a big deal because I keep that in mind when scheduling appointments. Another reason for the 4 star rating is that I did have one instance where I was scheduled for an office procedure, and I showed up for the appointment only to learn that I'd have to come back another day for the procedure because there had been a scheduling error, and I had been scheduled with the NP instead of the doctor, and the NP did not do the type of procedure I needed. However, everyone in the office was very empathetic and apologetic, and they worked me into the schedule the next day. If they could fix the wait-time issue, this place would be 5+ stars.
