Imagine the focused care you'll receive. I feel as if I now have a partner focused on helping restore and maintain my health rather than a relative stranger giving me their best guess from a few clues. I was a bit of a wreck when I first visited IFC. Although I have a way to go I now view my health and prospects for preserving it much better than I may ever have.

That's probably mostly because it's a pain in the ass to find a new family physician though... As a teenager, I had frequent bouts of strep throat, but never the kind that was detected by the rapid swab tests. Even though this became apparent rather quickly, I can't tell you the number of times I had to make numerous trips to Dr. Farber's office when my rapid tests would come back negative and he would tell me it wasn't strep, yet a few days later, the symptoms persisted. I will give their office props for one thing, though: Shortly after I graduated college and was unemployed with no health insurance, I broke my foot. Since I was an established patient at the office, they worked with me to charge me a minimal amount for my visit and they also worked out a deal with the imaging center where I had my x-ray. I was so grateful not to have to worry about being able to afford getting care for my foot and they took excellent care of me. So, while he might not be the sharpest crayon in the medical box, Dr. Farber is a great guy, and he does look out for his patients.

I was so impressed with how caring, patient, and informative they were. They gave me precise guidelines of how to best care for him, as well as warning signs of things to look out for. It is easy to access in Clifton being at a major intersection with a traffic light and by the back streets. I had to come here on numerous occasions for blood work on the sixth floor in 2018 and again recently. The parking is free and I never have to drive around and around to find a spot. My only petty complaint is walking in the cold from my car to the elevator lobby. The associates are friendly and professional. After checking in I only have to wait 5 minutes or less to get the blood work done. It has only taken one try to get the blood sample and the technique has been as quick and painless as can be expected. The results are are usually available in 2 days and can be viewed on my online account. Just off of the lobby is a pharmacy that can be used to pick up your medications making it a one stop visit for you. I go to my own outside pharmacy and have not tried the one here. This is also where the endocrinologist doctor's office is l go to is located.
