By far the 'best of distressed' brand name discounters. They are often compared to Marshalls, but dedicated Gabe fans know better. Marshalls sucks, price wise, selection wise, quality wise. Some Gabe locations I've visited: in WV: Charleston, Morgantown, Beckley, in VA: Winchester, in MD: Bel Air and the Uniontown, PA. All are great, some are just greater. And as an added attraction the one in Beckley has a separate 'tent sale' store for super discounted items. Gabes and Big Lots give me the only shopping rushes I need.

Uniontown Mall is a mostly dead rural mall located in Uniontown, PA. This mall feels larger than it…read moreactually is. JCPenney is the only open anchor with mall access, while MAC.BID is external entrance only. Two other anchors had construction work going on in them at the time of my visit, but I cannot find details what they will be used for. Several parts of the ring road are in poor condition, but for the most part the parking lot is in fair condition. The interior store count of the mall is low with a handful of stores remaining. Go Gamer ended up being a useful stop, and there is still an arcade. Why do people visit this mall? The interior has a unique style and is painted an aqua/teel color that makes it stand out. It was worth stopping by to see even with the mall basically having no air conditioning and a few roof leaks. Unfortunately, Uniontown Mall is no longer useful as a shopping option. How long will the mall last in this condition? Unknown, but it was worth the drive to visit.

Overall, there's not too much of a problem to get your cart full of food. Good yogurt for 69¢, meat is decently priced. Save a lot is actually a perfect place to go if you're on a budget but need to get at least a little bit stocked on meat. Pasta and sauce here are cheap but also great. Their pasta sauce is better than prego. Produce is also very decent and for the price. The tomatoes here are better than tomatoes in Walmart. I also like their mushrooms, but just be careful when you're buying mushrooms here. They do sell fresh mushrooms and you'll find plenty in stock, but I would not recommend buying the sliced ones. I've always found the sliced mushrooms to be brown and slimy. That means they're going bad if they haven't already. The whole mushrooms are safe. The brown ones are perfect, but the white ones can actually be a little bad too. Be careful when buying your mushrooms here, especially the white ones. Other than that, the fruit section is great. I wouldn't buy trash bags here. But yes, I do recommend save a lot!

They don't have a very large selection, most likely due to the size of the store (its is moderately small) but what they do have is fairly new and as a whole great. As for that lack though, they are always willing to order the book in for you, with an average of a 10-15% discount off the book itself. With that said there is always the wait involved in that method. All around however I would say that the store as nice as any other book store around.
