I am staying at the Ref Lion Hotel in Pasco, Washington and decided to eat dinner at the Grizzly Bar located inside the hotel. The Grizzly Bar menu had several options that caught my eye, but I decided I wanted the Blackened Salmon. Everything about this dish was great! The presentation was simple but made me want to immediately dig in and enjoy the promise of some excellent food. The taste of the salmon was scrumptious. I particularly enjoyed the crust that the blackening gave the fish. The crust was very lightly done, but provided a slight crunch. I also enjoyed the vegetable side of broccoli and carrots. Two of my favorites! I'm not that big of a fan for wild rice. I normally just prefer steamed white rice, but this time the wild rice was a great complement to the salmon. The service was a little slow, but the staff was swamped with almost a full house. So, with that in mind, I believe they did a great job. Even being so swamped they were all nice, polite, and professional. The decor was thick wood with an obvious bear motif. There is a huge floor area to provide a nice dance area for the dance nights. read more

This is a bar/pool hall/night club in the Red Lion in Pasco. It was dead while we were there, but a salsa dj was coming on later that evening. It seemed to be a bit of a rough area/place/crowd, but that was just a feeling. Our waitress was friendly, even offered menu suggestions, which hubs and I both took. I had the salmon caesar salad and hubs had a brisket sandwich. The salad was good, maybe a tad salty, and hubs said the brisket, which they smoke themselves, was just the way he liked it. read more

Came for a seminar. Went to the Grizzly Bar for dinner and some drinks. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and chips. The fries were decent the fish tasted like it was cooked in 6 month old oil. The slaw was warm. Got 1 beer when seated and no others. Wasn't even asked when she brought the food. I ordered a coke when seated as well that was never brought. There was like 15 other guests so it was not busy. I would not recommend ever. read more

Mediocre food equivalent to a reheated frozen burger from the frozen section of Costco. Basically we got our own water and waited forever for our food and drinks. Waiter was rude and seemed annoyed we were there ordering food. Place was so dark it hid the germs that gave me the ruins the next day. read more

I realize there is a shortage of workers, and I normally don't complain. This may have been the worse dining experience I've ever had. I ordered wings with their sweet chili sauce and tater tots. After about a half hour I was told they forgot to enter the order. After I finally received my food they were standard 'Buffalo wings' that seemed like they were heated up in a microwave, although I was told they were deep fried. No napkins, no utensils, no tater tots. It was a complete sh%t show. I only ate half and had to go to the bar counter to get my bill. read more

Thanks for a GREAT band. #Badlandz from the Tri Cities! They're AMAZING. The bar staff was very accommodating and friendly. There's always a good crowd without it being "overly crowded" so it is quite a surprise that we've never had to wait to be served. PERFECTION on bartenders. Thankful for that! The guys who work for security are hands down the most polite men at any place we've been in or around this area. The hotel where this bar/grill is located is very nice and worth staying the night if you're driving far like we have to enjoy this band here. We will definitely be returning again and again for a pleasant stay and a great time. Probably marked as one of my favorites here! ;) read more

This is a really hard review! The comedy was very good-we both enjoyed it. The rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. Comedy was to start at 7pm. We showed up about 540pm and there are only a few tables occupied. We sat at a table close to the stage and a waitress came around within 10 minutes. We each ordered a beverage and a LARGE nacho! The drinks were delivered in about 15 minutes. (There are less than 10 people in the place!). The nachos arrived in a fry basket. We both looked at each other. We had debated on ordering a large as typically nachos arrive on platters and are huge! I doubt there were 15 chips in the basket with the toppings on them. When the waitress returned about 25 minutes later I said is that really the large? She advised it must be but had no idea. ‍. We then each ordered another drink and some wings as clearly the nachos were a bust! The place started to get busier and A few minutes prior to 7 I approached the waitress stand wondering if I could still get the drinks on happy hour. Oh yes- she had ordered the wrong drink. When the wings arrived they were hot and a decent amount. But pretty flavorless for garlic parmesan wings. The comedy was a bargain but the food and the service left a lot to be desired. I came in at 5 pm for dinner. I sat at the bar. Was given a menu. Got a drink. Moved to a table when my food came. After that I became invisible to the waitresses there are less than 20 people in this whole entire place right now I finished my dinner 25 minutes ago my empty plate and my empty drink glass is still sitting in front of me I have watched the waitresses ask all the other people who by the way are all couples if they needed another drink or they needed anything no one has approached me not to take my plate not to bring me another drink not to ask me anything I am the only diner in this entire place dining alone and I must be invisible to the servers here why do place like this assume if you're a single older woman eating alone that you don't need any service? I guess they only like COUPLES here Literally the worst service I have ever had and they are not understaffed because I count a bartender and two servers for the less than 20 people in here right now I've been in here now a total of two hours and 10 minutes and other than to bring me my food which did come on time very quickly I have had no service none whatsoever read more

I have gone to comedy night with my wife the past 3 weeks. The comedy is awesome! The service and food is horrible. There is a few servers that do a good job but doesn't make up for the lack of work ethic and professionalism of the others. Really wanted to make this a weekly date night but I can't deal with the poor service. Hopefully the comedy moves the a better establishment. read more

Ok, I have to give this place 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5), because they need to be given their props. Over the last couple years The Grizzly Bar has brought in several good salsa bands: 5/2/08--Carlos Cascante y Su Tumbao 7/25/08--Afincando 9/18/09--Cubaneo These bands are from Portland and Seattle, and they all put on great shows. So I guess Corey G. does have some good points but overall, MEH! My biggest complaint about this place is the fact that it is in a hotel, right by an airport and they CHARGE A COVER?!?! So let me get this straight? You are a hotel that should be catering to travelers..here I am as a guest of your hotel, it is late, I just dropped over $100 in your restaurant and I would like a little nightcap before turning in and you are going to charge me a cover (I think it was $10) to come in and have a drink. Shame, shame! So when my husband and I said forget it and went back to the restaurant to see if our waiter could get us a drink (the restaurant had just closed) the "bouncer" at the Grizzly Bar gave our waiter a hard time when he told us he would just get us in for free. We saw our waiter go up, explain we were restaurant and hotel guests and the bouncer gave him a dirty look and argued with him for a few minutes before begrudgingly letting us in. Yes the place was hoping, yes the drinks were good but really, treat your hotel guests better. read more

Well this place was cool. Its been on my radar to check out for sometime. So last night (Friday) my friend took me and her other friend there for salsa dancing night. The cover was a little silly, but whatever, I wanted to have fun and I was already there so wtf. I had no idea how to salsa dance, so I was one of the only white boys out on the dancefloor looking like, well, a crazy ass white boy. Firstly: Don't expect clear signage outside, indicating where the Grizzly Bar is. Their sign actually reads: Red Lion. Just walk through the hotel lobby. You'll find it. Friday Night: "Salsa" Night Pro: The cover was 1/2 the price that they'd told me it would be when I had called earlier that day. They had told me that there would be a live salsa band playing, and that the cover would be $10. They charged me $5. Yay! Con: They told me that there would be a salsa band playing, but they were just kidding. Boo. The band was playing Latin music, but they were actually playing what they called "Rock." It sounded like it was from the 80s, and wasn't my jam - but to be fair, there were clearly people there who were enjoying it. Pro: The bartenders were friendly. Con: The mixed drinks are mostly small cups filled with ice and a tiny bit of the drink you are hoping for, and, if you aren't there early, there is nowhere to safely leave your drink, once you've purchased it. In fact, that leads me to: Con: If you don't get there early, you will have nowhere to sit/place your jacket and belongings. When I arrived around 11, the bouncer did say, "There aren't very many seats in there. Don't worry, with your looks, someone will offer you their lap." Umm... Thank You? Con: There was no salsa dancing or salsa music on salsa night. I don't know how you would know for sure one way or another, because I had even called to confirm. Pro: Other nights might be fun. I think I saw a pool table in the back.... AND, if you don't have a DD and drink too much, they are conveniently located INSIDE the Red Lion Hotel - so perhaps you can just get a room. Pro: The area is so quiet, there was no traffic when I left. This was probably a 1 or 2 star experience for me because I had been there specifically to dance salsa, which didn't happen! But, in fairness, I could see that others were having fun, and there was nothing inherently wrong with the establishment itself. So... there you have it. It's meh. read more

Several friends and I started gathering there for Monday Night Football. We have since moved on to other places. The game volume is off, you cant hear the game, and the DJ (I think he thinks we're there to see him), yaps through the entire game! But not necessarily about the game mind you. He even talks through TDs!! Made worse that he is so damn loud. On the last night we were there my ears were ringing. Then to our surprise, they started playing poker along with Monday Night Football. Food is ... Well, just bar food and nothing more and the staff is friendly and pleasant. I think what's wrong here is that they are trying to be too many things and doing nothing very well. Whatever the case we have gone elsewhere. read more

Had an incredibly lackluster experience here on multiple levels. I was not here on a particularly busy time and my waitress kept disappearing for 10 minutes at a time. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish ended up being a bit soggy and kept falling apart, as if it needed to be fried a bit longer. On top of that, the fish was extremely bland which is a lot to say about something that is naturally salty. The man next to me ordered the same thing and had the exact same complaints, which we learned was due to the fact that this fish had been frozen for quite a while. I did not like the service I was provided when I told the waitress I wanted to change my order. She did not ask me what was wrong and said with hurriedly "okay well what do you want". Not really sure what the rush was about seeing as how she kept vanishing for 10 mins in a place that wasn't even a quarter full. The other bartender, who was much nicer, asked myself and the man what was wrong with the fish and chips. The poor man next to me always had something wrong with his order which is so dumb seeing as how it was not a crowded evening. The vibe and service here were just terrible. Dark. Dirty. Smells of stale beer. But the place to go when you're staying at the red lion. Food is just ok and very sloppy preparation.

Cristal was a fantastic bartender, happy smile, and quick on the draw. Great drinks, great food, and an even better time. Great bar!

I love this place! Every Friday night is salsa night and you get buy 4 get 1 free bottled beer. Plus it's ice cold in a bucket. Prices are really good for a night club and I like how you can move the tables around to sit with your friends. The bartenders are super friendly and fast for how busy it is. And if you don't feel like waiting they have a waitress/server that takes orders at your table. The live DJ on Saturday is awesome. Pool tables and a dart board. Will definitely have to start coming here more often with my friends. Great atmosphere. read more

Grizzly Bar at the Red Lion.....Please Please if your a waitress learn the menu!! Please learn what the most favorite drink is!! Instead of saying," oh our best drink is this* pink drink thing* she had no idea what was in it or the name! ....I asked her what is the Creole Remoulade that is on the * Black and Blue Burger, she came back after asking the chef that it is an....... ingredient!! Lol WOW! I have been a server for 17 years not only was it so slow the service... as we had to go pick up our own drinks at the window...the waitress was MIA ...and the bartender was to busy talking about her last night out to bring them to us.....To top it off My Mozzarella Tomato Flat bread was cold and my boyfriend's Black and Blue Burger was "almost without a hamburger inside it was extremely thin" hence they were both sent back!! We did not order anything else ....if you decide to go to eat at Grizzly Bar at the Red Lion.....only positive I can say is... The Bruschetta was amazing! The owner needs to train their staff!!
