GreenState (really still UICCU in behavior) has an archaic online banking system that still has poor GUI and hidden structures other member-oriented credit unions got rid of a decade ago. We're going back to a credit union I've used since youth (in another state) and Veridian here in Iowa. We left UICCU (now GreenState) previously, but came back for a decent loan a couple of years ago, explaining to someone in the branch that it was their chance to win back our business. Just paid off our loan except we didn't because their online system doesn't show your actual current loan balance!! NEWSFLASH: Members use online banking to get CURRENT information. Even if you can't be bothered to list the actual current balance instead of just principal, there also isn't a convenient place to click to get your payoff balance. Are you kidding? This is almost 2022. Just to add insult to injury, they charged us a fee for an incoming wire transfer. It was added AFTER the full transfer amount showed as available in the account. As another review said, this institution charges fees more aggressively than several banks I've worked with. I've never actually learned what the benefits of being a member are- just been nickled and dimed and lied to. TLDR: Don't bank here. You're worth more than that.

Holiday weekends were a nightmare. They never were able to link my accounts correctly (the last straw was a college savings account that they were charging me for because they didn't link it up correctly to my other accounts.) Since my grandsons college account wasn't linked, I couldn't verify that they were charging me for it until after I closed out all the accounts. We were with them for close to two years, and only stayed as long as we did as the hassle of setting up a new account barely outweighed the hassle for staying. If anybody at Lincoln who cares reads this, whomever is responsible for the technology aspects of your institution needs to get their act together.
