I especially appreciated the gentleman who was running things. He just had such a great spirit. We ate our sandwiches on the drive home, and all three of my girls said they were the best sandwiches they'd ever had. On the way back to the car, we realized how close this place is to the Friends of the Library book store, so now I know if I'm ever in Berkeley again and using this parking garage we can always grab a book and grab a sandwich on the way home. 10/10 would recommend!

Every year there is a Pizza, Bagel and Beer Festival which you run into so many cheese. You even see Lasagna and Angel hair pasta topped with cheese in North Beach. Then there are dishes like Cheese Dakgalb, Quesadillas, Pupusas, Poutine ,French onion soup ,cheesecake , and cheeseburgers in SF. One thing about cheese it stretches everywhere and I found a place in Berkeley which makes sandwiches and it's known for its cheese. It's called Cheese " N" Stuff" On a Summer stroll with the sun shinning I landed at Cheese " N" Stuff. Inside it's an old school deli with lots of cold cuts and cheeses. I ordered the salami and cheese sandwich with purple onions. I had to order with Dutch Crunch which is a real San Francisco thing. The sandwich was tasty but that extra thickness of cheese made it more delicious. This is the spot for a good classic sandwich. They have a good sandwich deli where the flavor packs a "punch" and with cheese by the "bunch" and it's good for a solid "lunch" and you are a sandwich novice if you don't like a sandwich with "Dutch Crunch" You can will find cheese almost anywhere in the world from France to "Venezuela"they have lots of cold cuts at Cheese N Stuff like "mortadella" and ask for cheese like provolone and "mozzarella" and other cheeses because they have" hella"

Everyone has been super polite, customers and staff, and the management watches the line closely, as soon as the queue builds up, another register is opened. Thank you Market Hall for such a pleasant shopping experience and for your delightful, high quality foods. * I am so weak for your fresh pappardelle and prosciutto tortellini, learned today that the meat pastas are made with house cured Belotti meats!

Bought some sausages from the butcher and it was $13 for a little package of 4. At the bakery, we bought a slice of chocolate mousse cake, a slice of princess cake, a slice of lemon cheesecake, mini fruit tart, a loaf of sourdough bread, and challah bread- total was a little over $50+. The service was amazing. My husband was inquiring about how an almond cookie tasted like and they took one out of the case and cut it so we could taste it. Everything else we ordered though was delicious. Cheesecake was rich and creamy, the princess cake was moist, the mini fruit tart was fresh, and the chocolate mousse was rich. The challah bread was soft and you can't taste the good quality olive oil that was used. Added bonus is there is a free parking lot in the back. Free parking in Oakland?!? Heck yea!

They have a modest but solid selection of Italian deli meats (Serrano ham, prosciutto, pancetta, etc), pasta, olive oil, vinegars, and a couple specialty jams (calabrian chile orange, etc) - basically all you'd need for a gourmet charcuterie board meal or snack. Last time I was here, picked ip a bottle of nicely aged balsamic vinegar from Italy, which has lasted me for a couple years. Today, decided to try one of their specialty Italian sandwiches with a shot of expresso on the side... and Mama Mia was the sandwich absolutely amazing! I highly recommend the Jamon Serrano & Manchego sandwich ($14.50). It comes with shaved ribbons of serrano ham, 1/5 inch thick slice of aged manchego cheese, a creamy spread of chevre goat cheese, chopped/marinated artichokes and arugula greens on a crusty/crunchy baguette (between half to a full foot long). I practically finished this within 10 minutes - it was so good! The expresso shot ($3.25) was also a good pairing for me. Loved the aroma, made from nicely dark roasted beans. Inside the venue there's shelves on the back wall, with Italian dry goods, oils, vinegars, jams, etc for sale. Seating indoors is about 5ish tables for 2 or more. Outside sidewalk has a couple tables too. Located on the corner of 9th & Washington St, mostly metered street parking in this area and a small hourly parking lot across the street.
