Do not hire this company. They are the most unprofessional bunch I have ever encountered. I called them out to fix a roof soffit that had been damaged by high winds. They sent some guy out for 5 minutes to look at the work I needed done, then they didn't contact me for 6 days. When they finally called, he tells me immediately "my system is down but it will cost you $1,200 to fix" I ask if he will replace it and he says no, we'll "pull it back into place" I told him I wanted a list of the work they were going to do before I pay. and he says that's all they're gonna do. The job went well from the start to the finish. Jeff James came to my house in North Carolina several times to answer questions and to show me samples of the shingles I could get. On the day of the job everyone showed up on time and stayed until 8:30pm using flashlight as they cleaned all the way around the house to ensure all was clean and probably left it in better shape than when they arrived. As a household of only women I felt very comfortable working with Grier and Jeff as well as the rest of the guys. I highly recommend Grier. read more

Joaquin Collazo from Grier Roofing came to my home today because of a leak in the first floor ceiling of my 2-story townhome. I thought it was a roof leak but Joaquin determined it was from a PVC pipe that wasn't glued correctly by the builder's choice of plumber in 2019. At my request he drilled a hole in my ceiling right where the water was coming in. He said the PVC elbow connector should have blue or purple glue but either no glue or clear glue was used. He spent around 45 minutes checking various possible things causing the leak including A/C drain pan. I asked how much I owed but he said there was no charge and wouldn't accept payment for his time. I cannot say enough good things about Joaquin and Ronald who I spoke with to set up the appointment. I will definitely use them for any future roofing needs. Thank you Grier Roofing!! read more

Brian came out and inspected our roof and gave us a quote for replacing it. i was first impressed that he actually measured the roof instead of using the satellite app. his quote was far better than the other 3 I had gotten. his team, headed by Rocember, came early and finished in 1 day. Their friendly, caring and professional attitude was soo refreshing. The job was absolutly perfect and good looking. I highly reccomend Grier Roofing, Brian and his team, be your roofing company. I wouldn't waste my time with this company. Don't believe they wanted my business. Called for what was a simple roofing issue that I already knew what needed to be done. In order to get a similar quote so that I could compare companies and work, I tried to communicate with the guy they sent out. His name was Joaquin and could barely speak English. As a matter of fact he looked like he was on his lunch break and just got off a roof somewhere else and was in a rush. Not that there's anything wrong with working hard and doing what the boss asks, but why send someone who can't understand what I want and I couldn't understand what he was saying. All I could understand is "we'll do a good job for you." He took measurements and came up with a completely different solution to what I was looking for which would have cost 3 times the amount of what I needed to have done. He left with the measurements and numbers saying he would provide a quote. Guess what? It's been three weeks now and I haven't seen the quote. Fine, you don't want my business, just let me know so I don't waste my time dealing with you. I would steer clear of this company. And I'll let others know of my interaction and quoting process. Just bad business practices. I contacted two other companies and one of them has already done the work. I can only imagine that if you get Grier Roofing to do your roof, you're overpaying. read more

They were selected based on their high visibility in the area. I had them replace roofs on two separate homes. Then a tornado hit, and it all had to be redone. The people they initially sent out for the estimates were outstanding. Their bid was higher than any others but I went with them thinking I was getting quality work and excellent customer service. They sent another guy out for signing the contract. From here it went downhill. The guy they sent was unprofessional in just basic courtesy and manners. Small things like he chewed gum, sloppy dresser, didn't have a pen, wanted me to go get my laptop to look at something and wanted me to print my own estimate. He took personal phone calls in the middle of my meeting. As soon as he had my money or my name on the contract, he was out the door, and his attitude indicated he couldn't have cared less about my satisfaction. His follow up was lousy. Would not return my repeated phone calls. One of my houses the workers left a mess on the ground including loose bricks scattered . I had already given him a check, and when he wouldn't answer the phone, my banker agreed to stop payment on it. I just think he's in the wrong job. No class, not very bright. He wanted to know why I stopped payment. I said, "Because you didn't finish the job." After this I called the office and spoke to some very nice and understanding people and asked them not to send him back. They hire foreign born workers and one of the men told a Spanish speaking buddy of mine, they only earn $12 an hour. Had I known that prior to hiring this company, I would never have agreed to them. read more

Guy named Juaquin Colloza did a job for me for roof flashing leaks and wear and tear damage to my chimneys. Very pleased with the work he did, and would recommend them to anyone needing a quality fix. They are not the cheapest but not the most expensive either, and they do high quality work. The guy even cleaned off the leaves and brush from my roof afterwards as a curtiousy. Very polite and professional as well. read more

They replaced my roof 3 years ago. This October I had major leak that damaged my ceiling and wall. I also found that it was leaking around the chimney. Grier repaired the roof leak but after 2 months and several phone calls have not repaired the sheet rock damage even after telling me on 3 occasions they would. Grier caulked around the chimney but it continues to leak. Grier said I needed the chimney sealed to stop the leaking but the person I called to seal the chimney said the flashing was not done properly and would need to be redone to stop the leaks. My opinion is they have very poor customer service and I have to question the quality of their work. read more

They advertise on their site "free estimates" and suggest you never pay a contractor all up front. Grier Roofing sent out Jeff Bruce who charged for an estimate and then said he wanted full payment up front. To top that off he never showed up when he agreed to when the builder was here to coordinate with him. No way I would use this contractor for anything. Totally unprofessional. read more

I needed a new roof because of storm damage. After several companies came out, I chose Grier Roofing. Their price was the best and Joe provided me with my quote when he said he would (unlike the other companies). There were delays due to weather, but Joe kept me informed the entire time. On the day of the install, Joe came back out to my home to ensure work was started and the crew knew exactly what to do (the crew foreman was not present). How many other sales guys are going to do this for you?? The replacement was going smoothly, but Joe had to leave to perform his regular job duties. The crew became sloppy and left my property a mess, as well as caused some minor damage (I'm told they no longer work there). I was very unhappy and contacted Joe regarding this. Joe came back out to my house and went above and beyond to make every correction he could possibly make.. This man offered to go around my entire home with a magic eraser, in the pouring rain, to remove the scuff marks that were left on my vinyl siding. Joe then put me in contact with Jovane, the office manager. Jovane came out to my home a couple days later to inspect the work the crew did. There were a couple minor things that I was not satisfied with, but Jovane assured me he would get them corrected. He was true to his word. During this entire process, and me being unhappy, Joe and Jovane went above and beyond to fix the problem and ensure I was satisfied. It was there level of customer service, as well as their dedication to their jobs, that made me completely satisfied with this company. My roof looks good too! So a big thank you to Joe and Jovane for making an unpleasant experience a truly good one. read more
