This was the night before my appointment and Blackman Grove. It was just me at home, living in the middle of nowhere, with a dead car battery and no way to jump it. I called to get the appointment rescheduled, but was told it'd be $75 to do so. Fine. Thanks, daughter. I get it. 2. Finally get a new bridge (not sure if that was what the other appointment was for, but man, it was expensive, even with insurance.) However...a hygenist puts the bridge on and shapes it way too short. The dentist didn't even do anything. I was told she doesn't like doing those or fillings. I was also told that if I didn't like it, they could send it to a lab, but it'd cost MORE. Now, that side of my smile...the teeth are way shorter than the other side.‍ To my main point and complaint: found a new dentist where I'm located. They did X-rays and told me that all of my crowns from Blackman Grove are garbage. You can see them in the X-rays...they're not even cemented down well. I paid thousands...THOUSANDS...and now need to get them redone because my mouth aches. I loved this dentist...BEFORE they hired new people and completely redid the place (and started adding Botox to their services.)

The first thing I noticed about was how friendly they were on the phone. When I arrived early in the morning, the three women behind the desk were already having a Jovial conversation about the possibility of a therapy animal in the office. They texted the paperwork to me. When I was done, I had my teeth examined and cleaned. It was a prompt and relaxed visit. I am going next week for a consultation for some cosmetic dentistry. It feels good to be around people who are happy where they work.

I really like how they allowed my son to see how well he had been brushing by the "blue toothpaste". I had been looking for the antiquated disclosing tabs that I grew up using. They have the game room for older children and a play area for younger children. The games have definitely played roughly by some kids through the years but still worked enough for the kids to enjoy for the brief waiting time (5-15 minutes). They also shared about options to help my youngest son to his stop thumb sucking which may prevent the need for braces later in life. Very pleased with this first visit especially after have been with another provider for nearly 7 years. Change can be hard but the experience here made it a little easier. Update 7/26/2018 Changed from 4 star to 5 Star: Both kids (7 y/o and 3 y/o) had appointments together. I was to sit in a spot to have sight of both of them since the younger opted for the individual room. Speedy, efficient service--in and out within 30 minutes for cleanings. When establishing next appointments, I mentioned that my oldest doesn't like to miss school so we might have to split them up. It wasn't until the numbness wore off way later that night that I realized the issue. I've still got to get that fixed but I honestly don't trust Lewis Dental to do it right. Review for Dr. Hardison - Oral Surgery Experience…read more I had three molar extractions and three bone grafts performed by Dr. Hardison, and unfortunately my experience was far more difficult than I was prepared for. I was not given a clear explanation of what to truly expect with this level of surgery. Had I known how intense the recovery would be, I would have opted to do only one side of my mouth at a time rather than all three extractions and grafts in one visit. My pain lasted about 3.5 weeks, with throbbing, significant pain for the first 2.5 weeks. I was not proactively prescribed antibiotics, which ultimately led to an infection that required an urgent care visit. Additionally, I was only given three days of pain medication. When I went in for a follow-up after the urgent care visit, because the pain was severe and ongoing, I felt dismissed and treated like I was seeking medication rather than genuinely needing relief for a legitimate postoperative issue. While the surgical outcome may have been technically adequate, the lack of guidance, proactive care, and compassionate communication made this experience extremely challenging. I hope this feedback helps improve transparency and patient care for others considering similar procedures.

Called the office and try to explain the issue, they said even they know it is an issue on their end, but I have to pay as they have billed the insurance. Transparency about costs and insurance coverage should be a basic standard in healthcare, and unfortunately this office failed to provide that. Patients deserve to know what they are being charged before treatment, not after. Now my only option is to file a complaint with TDCI and CMS.

Made an appointment, and explained to the doctor over the phone about our financial situation, got to the appointment, was in the chair and already swished mouthwash. The tech left and came back with an estimated bill of $125. I literally left in tears and didn't get my tooth put back in. Why would I pay when their cement hasn't been holding? I was told I could eat whatever I wanted and shouldn't have any more problems after the last time. Apparently, I can't afford this place and will now have to go with an exposed tooth until I can figure something out. Poor practice and you just lost 4 patients over it.
