And if you are like me, you hate going to the dentist, and want to get in and out of there as soon as possible. At Dr. Sidwell's, you can get your teeth cleaned (assuming you've been in the past year) in under 30 minutes! Fabulous. He is pretty inexpensive too, which is great if you don't have dental insurance. However, I always feel as though I get a very thorough check-up--I never feel slighted! I go twice a year for cleanings, and I most recently bought a teeth whitening system from him. Expensive, but when I did my research, it came in under quite a few of the others out there. He recently moved from his Green Hills location to the newer Harpeth Medical Center--about 10 minutes down the road on Old Hickory and Granny White--because his Green Hills building was sold. This new location is more modern and a bit fancier, but he is still a no-nonsense dentist and I love it! I'm pretty old, and I've seen a few dentists. Importantly, I was there for a filling. I reported in advance that I tended to need more novacane than less. He listened. He also crafted a solution that I experienced as extremely precise. Only the area he worked on was numb after the visit. By the 2 hour mark after the visit, I was no longer numb, and of course, the tooth looks and feels great. Just excellent dental care. I'm a cash patient, and I thought his fee was fair and reasonable. I strongly recommend this office and this very capable dentist.

It also doesn't hurt that they laugh at my bad jokes and endure all my questions with grace and understanding. When I made the appt I didn't realize they were going to everything I needed in one visit. I blocked out 2 hours from my job. 4 hours later I had a miserable headache from the nitrous. My work phone was blowing up. I am also a type 1 diabetic and no one told me I would be there four hours so my blood sugar was extremely low.
