Beautiful layout. That's about all the positive. Course drains horribly. No notice of cart path only. Wasted extra $20 for a cart. Should have just walked. Fairways are like ponds. Mud on the ball on every shot. Nobody fixes divots on the greens. They also don't pace play. AT ALL. 5+hrs is pathetic. Rather take up another hobby. For $100 I'd expect far better. Easter buffet. Excellent food choices buffet style. Carved on order ham, mashed potatoes, homemade coleslaw, deviled eggs, ham gravy (Au jois), mac n cheese, salad and multiple dessert choices. 12 of us went for the per person Easter buffet and we will be back for any holiday events. Service was also over the top and on point at every level. Very clean. Almost forgot the Easter Bunny for family and kids photos - FREE!! We will be back!! read more

Greystone Golf Course - Tremendous View - Golf Near Me - White Hall, Maryland

Great views, both on the course and from the clubhouse. I've played golf here many times over the years, and I'm happy to see this place finally updating the outdoor seating situation at the clubhouse grill. They've got new patio furniture that's stylish and quite comfortable. Hubby and I had dinner here on a warm October evening after playing an afternoon round, and it was a really pleasant experience. They were a little short-staffed, so the cook came out to take our orders. The food was definitely above average for golf course grill fare. We had a crab ball appetizer, which was $13 for 4 big crab balls. We also got 2 burgers ($10-$13 each) and they came with fries and a pickle. Everything was served on white dinner plates with shiny silverware. Drinks were a bargain too. But the best part was the sunset view. On one side of the patio, you can watch golfers coming up on the 18th hole, but on the other side, you get a view of the practice area and some of the front nine. And at sunset, the view is pretty awesome. Although I didn't play particularly well during my round (blame it on the bunkers), thanks to the dinner experience on the patio, the day definitely ended on a high note. read more

Best deal in town. If you are an advantage card holder you can play this wonderful course for $25 after 3:00. One of the best golf courses in Maryland. 100% the best deal around. The clubhouse serves wonderful food for after the round is done. I recently went there and played and enjoyed a crabcake platter with two sides for $15 and an order of wings. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone that likes to golf and enjoy a good meal after their round of golf. read more

Played at Greystone today in a tournament and couldn't be more impressed at how well the course looked and held up with all the rain we've had. It was raining during part of our round and the course still withstood the moisture. It's always a fun place to play and the nicest Baltimore county public course by far. read more

Played the course today and it is in great shape. BUT there was an issue. I have got to give a shoutout to the Pro Shop/management staff. First 9 we had a great pace of play. Went to the restroom on the turn, the group behind us was approaching 9 green when we headed to 10. Get to 10 the group ahead of us was on the fairway but there is a random group on the box between us. Where did they come from. Found out they had stopped for lunch and just jumped into the middle of our outing which was primarily women. Not only did they jump ahead of us, they proceeded to hit multiple drives after their shanks and flubs. So we let it go until we realize one player is actually giving lessons on the course and taking forever. There goes the pace of play. Enough is enough One of my group calls the clubhouse. So impressed that a Marshall was sent out, accessed the situation and returned the jumpers to the rear of our outing, 3 groups behind us. Kudos and a thumbs up to the Greystone team for doing the right thing read more

My grandson and I went to Greystone Grille for breakfast this morning. You have the option of sitting inside or outside. We decided outside was best since the AC inside was freezing. We waited for 15 min., no service. We went inside, were greeted immediately by waitress. We told her what we wanted and that we'd like to sit outside since it was so cold. Were told that was fine. For a 2 egg breakfast and breakfast burrito it took over 30 min. We were there for over an hour just to get a small breakfast. The food was good but the service was terrible. In the meantime, members were coming right and left with food. If you aren't going to service the public the same as members, why are you offering it to the public. Waitress was very nice but obviously overworked. Not nearly enough staff to handle the amount of people there. Not a good experience. read more

I played several times in the past and it was ok. I just remember several greens, #9 and #13 in particular are a joke. ZERO chance of keeping your the ball near the whole due to severely sloped greens. You think you will be 1 to 2 feet away as you hit your putt, as you would on almost any other course, but the ball just rolls and rolls and rolls and rolls and rolls and rolls and rolls away from the hole. I'm talking 60 to 70 feet away!!!!! Frustrating to say the least. They need to realize that we aren't golf pros and this isn't Sunday at Augusta. My handicap is a 13. The last time I played, April 2016, I shot a 103! And yep you guessed it, several 3 putts, a 4 putt and 1 "other" rang up my score. As I left the course I could only think how many other courses I could have played that day and would have had a MUCH better experience. The cart paths, building exterior, bathroom and several other areas of this course are showing their age. Getting to this course is no joke....it's in the middle of nowhere. The ONLY reason to go into this area is to play this course. My suggestion is that you spend your time and money elsewhere. read more

Greystone is a challenging course that is always in great shape. Also, for the price, it's an exceptional value. Definitely the hardest and most difficult of the Baltimore County courses, but also my favorite! read more

Greystone is a beautiful and challenging course. Insane views from the clubhouse and other high elevation holes. Great deal too only around $30 if you have an advantage card. They give you unlimited practice balls with your round which is nice. Very nice driving range and short game/putting area. By far the nicest Baltimore County course and a challenge even for low handicap golfers. read more

I just played Greystone this Saturday. It was the hottest day yet this year and my buddy who I haven't seen in a year texted me - even with the heat I couldn't pass it up. First the price was really reasonable. $49 at 3pm with a cart. We even warmed up with a free bucket before hand. Second, it was the hottest day of the year and we were both surprised at how green the fairways and rough were. Sprinklers were up and down our whole round but they must be motion activated bc they would always retract when we approached. Water coolers were full, cart girl was friendly (although she was out of Budweiser most of the day) and the rest of the staff was too. Apparently it was so hot their "heat check policy" would have allowed us to get some of our round back if we didn't finish. It's nice to know they'd do that but that's not why we were there. Overall, it's a great course and worth the extra drive to not play in the crowds. read more

I played at Greystone on 7/21/15. The course was in outstanding shape. It looked like it could sponsor a PGA tour event. The green fee is normally around $50; however, we had a coupon that included a sleeve of Titleist nxt and lunch for $48. My foursome really enjoyed the course but it is not an easy course. Front desk & management on how they treat and interact with golfers. The menu has been expanded considerably and the cheeseburgers are phenomenal. The course is a great challenging layout and for the most part very well maintained. read more

My son played there this week. Wasn't too impressed. The fairways were in terrible shape. Some of the greens had a lot of debris on them. At one point the grounds crew actually mowed around the kids as they were on the tee box. Glad it was a time deal. The pro shop staff was super nice and helpful though. read more

The course always in great shape 16 of the 18 holes are really great, when you play you will know the two holes that are just OK (greens that could be improved by blowing them up) the staff friendly and helpful. I play the course over the season 6 to 8 times read more

Simply one of the finest golf courses in the mid atlantic region. Always in great shape, reasonable price, inquire about the lunch and play deals during the week. Greens in the early spring and late fall are very quick and pin placements can be a challenge. read more
