This place is so terrible, you can't get in contact with no manager nor get any work orders done in a timely manner nor do they care. So crazy! Just moved in feb 26 and the shower and tub don't even work. How is anyone supposed to wash their body. This is not a good look. I'm highly upset no one is willing to fix the issue. Condemn the entire complex! My friend moved I. A few months ago and all the buildings are infested with roaches inside and ants on the outside. Those who are giving great rating are probably used to living nasty with roaches and bugs but my friend is not and neither should anyone else. Wouldn't touch this place with a 50 foot pole. I hope my friend considers getting out of her lease because the infestation issue was not disclosed beforehand. Just gross and don't let the lying leasing office tell you any different. not a good place to live, you report bad behavior trash in the halls and they do nothing. rent is very high your fist year will be low and they'll boost it 200-300 the next. so why pay that when they don't help you with issues. not just petty issues big issues. the office staff is not any help at all with issues. went to renew my lease and got attitude more than once. the day my lease was due was they day they sent it to me. I don't understand how a company can allow this much water to continue to pull around and elderly residence. Over the course of a couple of years there have been numerous problems with the dryer with ants with the air conditioning with the drainage issue on the of the deck area and nobody seems to take any steps to fix these issues. So though I do not live at this residence with my mother again she is elderly I am retired law-enforcement and it just seems irresponsible of the company to not fix issues in a more timely fashion. Me and my mother have been living here for 6 years now. We had no problem living here until new tenants and new staff were hired and arrived. For one the only insects we had in our apartment were ants, now there are cockroaches here. We notified the leasing office and they have yet to help with the situation. There's also new leasing office staff manager replacing an old staff member, (Seth) which she was very rude when my mother went to her asking about a payment. As well as trash, there's a bunch of trash and litter all in the yards and grass. The only thing I applaud is the maintenance workers here, they are respectful and fix inside our apartment very well. I'm very disappointed to see how this apartment complex changed horribly. read more

I just moved here and had some issues; the only major issue was no hot water. Once I open up a maintenance request the staff is usually here within in an hour. Agree a lot of times the trash compactor doesn't always work. With the prices we pay they force into Cable but don't give us an option for trash valet. Some of us are disabled or have mobility issues. I moved here because of the distance to Raleigh. I agree living in an apartment is never ideal but it is what it is. My next move will be buying a house. read more

This place is NOT all it's cut out to be. They are just awful, the apartments are very gilded, beautiful on the outside until you sign that lease, all the appliances are cheap everything breaks, the carpet is soo cheap you can just look at it and it will stain, and best believe they will make you may that carpet fee! I loved Danny he was the best and very understanding but other than him the entire year we stayed at greystone we felt personally targeted and mistreated. We could not wait to leave! Have been reading all the negative reviews and have to say that as long as you follow the rules (given even before you sign your lease) you should have no problem. I have been here going on two years and have to say the staff here are very caring, compassionate, professional people. Every maintenance request I have ever submitted has been handled in a fast and professional manner. They are always eager to help in any way they can. So, as long as you follow the rules you will be pleased. As far as the trash is concerned, someone posted they had only one compactor, well they have two. We are given so many nice amenities that you will not find everywhere. Greystone is a very decent and clean place to live and I highly recommend it. I have never seen or heard of any discrimination concerning the residents or any one else. Please be mindful of the truth before you post anything. I for one really enjoy my stay here. Just avoid being of any descent other than Caucasian over here and you should be fine. On any given day that music is being played the complex immediately interrogates every resident of brown complexion. At any given hour and I mean any (8pm,3am,etc) KPD will be at your door without probable cause suggesting for you to keep any nonexistent noise down and lecture you on quiet hours of the night as if this is some sort of college dorm. I wake up at 5 in the morning for work & I guarantee you I'm not up playing music at 2 in the morning nor do I appreciate being woke up not by my neighbors but the police. Over 1300 a month for a three bedroom and I can't get the simple trash compactor here to work. This is EVERY weekend. Oh by the way, the neighborhood shares this one compactor and although this initially does not sound overwhelming, try sharing with 10 , 4-floor apartment buildings with at least 3 units on each floor. That's a lot of trash if you do the math for the entire neighborhood to have just one compactor. Lastly to round up this rant AVOID THE POOL AT ALL COST IF YOU ARE OF COLOR. Yes this is 2019 , but some of us clearly still live in 1955. I can't stress this enough on any given day someone white can have a whole family reunion (no not the clubhouse) with open alcohol beverages (around children) and several friends and guest at the pool but god forbid I (the resident) my sister (also a resident and present on the lease) and her ONE friend go. We're constantly harassed for the key fob, questioned over and over if we're truly on the lease or not. Literally had one of the maintenance men or owners walk over to my sister's friend (who is white) and ask if we were HER guest and if she was old enough to be there without supervision. The baffling part of this is fact he totally disregarded me sitting right there next them with the key fob around my neck. Knightdale itself is amazing and very diverse and welcoming of all people and their cultures but this complex ... STAY AWAY. read more

This apartment complex is the absolute worst place to live! Please spare your time, & money! First off the Parking is terrible and the only way to get a good one is if you pay extra fees for a parking spot. I pay pet fees for the dog park to be filthy with dog feces CONSTANTLY! They have you paying outrageous prices for everything in the complex to be cheaply made and constantly break. They harassed me about a late fee that I had proof of paying but still wanted to charge a late fee. Even threatened me to go to court!!! So If you want to feel like a child and that someone's out to get you & your money, then this is the place for you! Just Be prepared to owe ridiculous fees! read more

I see some other bad reviews on here but I think this place is pretty great for what you pay. The main plus is location- smack dab in the middle of neighborhoods so there is lots of sidewalk and easy trail access to Mingo Creek Greenway. It's also right down the street from grocery stores, Target, restaurants, every shop you would ever need. I have never had problems with parking, there are plenty of spots near my building. Maintenance staff is awesome, they have always been able to help with anything we need and the office staff is friendly and helpful as well. The Time Warner package is a little bad- I think it's set up by Greystone's parent company so it's not their fault per se, but I do feel like I'm paying way more to get way less than I could negotiate on my own. The apartments themselves are really nice and we love the on site dog park. read more

They charge every resident $80 above what their rent is for some Time Warner (Spectrum) tv and internet services. That money is included in your rent whether you want cable tv or not. If you prefer to stream tv, you still pay $80 every month to the cable company that is assessed in your rent. If you dont watch TV or need internet, you still have to pay. If you prefer Direct or Dish (for those apartments that have the proper alignment), you still have to pay. For $80, you are forced to pay for some basic internet, standard TV and Preferred channels, and Showtime whether you want them or not. You can not choose a different channel other than Showtime. They chose that when they entered their agreement/contract with Time Warner. With this cable agreement, they have tied every resident into the cable company- whether you like it or not. I normally do not post on websites like yelp or trip advisor, but when I came across my apartment complex and saw the only ratings were one star, I was appalled. This is such a great community, I can't believe anyone would give below 4 stars. Within walking distance there is a grocery store, plenty of restaurants to choose from, a variety of department stores, an express care, a pediatric clinic, and if you have children there is daycare literally right in front of the complex. Our jobs that are in Raleigh is our longest commute, everything else is conveniently located nearby. Yes, living here can be pricey, but there are so many free amenities that come with and the staff do a really great job at hosting events to bring the community together that are also free. My husband, my one year old, and I have been living here for 10 months and my only complaint is against our downstairs neighbors who were completely inconsiderate of the fact that we don't work 9-5 jobs and come home really late. Also, my comment on that, if you want to live in an apartment and have a low noise tolerance, just buy a house. Anywhere you go unless it's a high end condo or rental house you will hear noise from your neighbors. From footsteps to voices you're going to have to put up with it if you're renting. The staff are extremely friendly and try to be personal with everyone, they have remembered mine and my husband's names and try to make conversation with us if they are not busy. Others have commented how appliances have broken down on them but again you're renting, everything has been used by plenty of other people before you, they will not be in perfect condition. The maintenance guys respond so quickly to work orders and are in and out with the job done in under a hour almost every time. I love living here and the only thing that's our deciding factor of renewing our lease is the distance from Raleigh. read more

The overall experience of being there was good. Every time something happened, they'd come and fix it or let us know what would be going on. They'd come in like every 3 months and check the A/C, water, and exterminate, if needed, etc. The only reason why I'm not giving them a 4 star is because of what they last did. So, they sent us everything that was needed to be payed for, or so we thought. We moved out on July 4, 2019. We didn't even receive information that they were also charging us for other things till late September of the same year, 2019. So it went to the credit bureau since we didn't pay. Now, it's killed our credit scores. When we reached out to them and asked what we owed, they didn't even have an idea. Like I said, it's was an overall great experience living there for a year and a half but what they pulled out at the end, I don't know if I would recommend living here. There's places that also have trash pick up. Here, you had one dumpster that was very far from us, 3-4 apartment buildings down to be exact. For some, even farther. They are a bit overpriced considering how old they are. They've built new ones like across the street and they are similar in pricing. Why not just move into newer ones? However, it's a great location. 540 is near and Raleigh is but 10-15 minutes down the road. There's US64 which has tons of Food and Shopping Centers near. Other than that, it's not bad living here. Excellent location! Close to 540 and 440 highways. Close to shopping including multiple grocery stores, Target and even Best Buy. Surrounded by sit down national dining locations such as Chili's and Applebee's. This saltwater pool opens earlier in the season and stays open later the surrounding communities. Well maintained grounds, well lit, safety is felt throughout community. Near Wake County trail, perfect for bike riding. Which the office supplies including helmet! Deputy living on property. I can't wait to get away from this apt. Community and I suggest anyone that has the means to live in another community do so. First off they do not have adequate parking for the amount of units there. In order to ensure that you don't have to walk a great distance or park in the school located at the entrance they charge you to park in the covered spots located at the entrances of the apt. Complexes. Another thing is that they are a bulk account of Time Warner in which you pay $80 a month in your bill towards slow internet speed and a basic cable package including showtime. You also have to pay a separate bill to time warner for a cable box and modem rental. So in other words if you contacted time warner yourself you could get a lot more bang for your buck by utilizing one of their introductory specials. You are locked into widewaters package though so you are not able to capitalize on any specials. If you want HBO or any other movie package you have to pay the full price in addition to what your already paying.... Anyway I know that may seem confusing but you are going to get the crappy end of the deal when it comes to Internet and TV . I had some issues with my a/c this past summer and had to call maintenance 5 times within a months timespan. They did promptly come and resolve the issue temporarily but a few days later , bam, the a/c stopped working again. Finally one of the older, more knowledgeable techs came and fixed the issue. The structure is nice but there are a lot of other complexes that provide more bang for your buck. The staff is friendly and has been helpful with any issues. I just feel you can get more for your money elsewhere. read more
