Mold on door
Jocelin G.

The apartments are bug and mold infested. The complex spends more money on the outer appearance than the inner. Tanisha is the nicest person in the office and helps when she can. They only have one maintenence guy and the day our storage unit lock broke it took over 3 hrs to get it fixed because the one guy called out sick. Mold, bugs, out dated cabinets and non caring Staff. When we complained about the bugs they said it's the south and the bugs are a part of living here. We complained about the mold and they told us not to use the heat because the condensation was causing the mold. Great place if you want to live outside...The grounds are immaculate.

The Lawson of Knightdale

The Lawson of Knightdale

When searching for an apartment for my dad, who has dementia, I knew the criteria that needed to be…read moremet was a tall order. I wanted to find him a beautiful place with lots of amenities, but safety and its various intangibles were paramount. His prior apartment was fraught with issues and the staff there was not kind. Those moments elicited a feeling that's difficult to describe, but I needed to find a new place where every fiber of my being told me that such a scenario would be an impossibility. Throughout an extensive online search, I came across The Lawson. It looked incredible -- frankly too good to be true -- but I booked a tour immediately. From the second I entered and saw Sierra, something just felt right. When she introduced herself and we began conversing and sharing ideas, the notion of "too good to be true" began to crumble. The lobby is breathtaking, the amenities are something I'd expect from a building that's 4 times the price of The Lawson, and the fully staged apartment looked even better in person than online. Sierra took well over an hour to show us most everything, never for a moment making us feel like she was pressed for time or that it was an imposition. During the tour, I was resoundingly struck by the interactions that she had with residents who approached her. Everyone was so extremely comfortable around her, while also clearly seeing her as a force. Sierra has a commanding presence, but she threads a near-impossible needle. She wields her abilities and intellect with an eternal sense of responsibility, exclusively utilizing it for the protection and betterment of the residents. In situations like this, in leadership, in life -- Sierra is the archetype for those who earn power and who can unequivocally be trusted to keep it. In that moment, I knew this was the place for my dad. I signed the lease as soon as it was ready and the jubilation that I feel for The Lawson, for Sierra, and for its residents has only grown. However, there's another unsung hero who has earned his place in The Lawson lore in perpetuity -- David. David is, on paper, the maintenance person, but in practice that doesn't begin to cover it. Like Sierra, I was immediately struck by his warmth and kindness. From the very first time we met, he made it clear that he was always happy to help, even if it fell outside the scope of his job description. His demeanor is one that cannot be feigned, and given how sensitive my dad can be to the words and tones used by others, it brings me immeasurable relief to know that the two people with whom he most often interacts at The Lawson made it so clear that they care about him and want to help whenever he needs it. David truly goes above and beyond, and The Lawson would not be the same without the most capable duo conceivable at the helm. To that end, the number of times that I've been wonderstruck by the number of events and attention to detail that goes into them has long exceeded numeration. There are events most days of the week, which isn't even counting the resident-lead events. I've attended Medicare classes and just the other day, my dad got his flu and COVID vaccines downstairs in the craft room. He and I have still been talking about it, days later, and that it's still difficult to believe that all of this actually exists (despite living it for over a month at this point). Beyond the constant events and ever-evolving creativity employed to execute them in new and exciting ways, there's also the property itself, the decorations, and landscaping. I go there to see my dad usually daily and there has never been a single moment when anything has looked less than pristine. There is not a single part of me that could ever doubt Sierra's commitment to the residents, and to The Lawson as a whole. She's a star whose light could never diminish, in large part because, without exception, she uses it to light the way for others.

Five stars for the Lawsons of Knightdale! I just renewed my lease for another wonderful year. From lively dances and bingo to fun Margarita Mondays and Lunch and Learn, there is never a dull moment. We also have beautiful spaces to enjoy, including a library, puzzle room, craft room, and a beautiful outside garden. I am so grateful to call this place home and want to give a huge Thank you to the team for all they do!! C.C.

DO NOT RENT HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES…read more My experience with Triangle Town Crossing Apartments has been an absolute nightmare, and it started on move-in day. The day my moving truck arrived from Atlanta was also the day I found out that the 2-bedroom apartment I was shown and told I was applying for was NOT the apartment I was actually getting. I specifically chose this community because I wanted a unit that was: * Away from the freeway * Filled with natural light from multiple sides * Close to the dog park These were not preferences--they were requirements that I clearly communicated to my leasing agent, Lina. Instead, I was given a unit directly next to the freeway, on a basement-level floor with almost no natural light, and on the complete opposite side of the property from the dog park. The options I was given were: 1. Take a 1-bedroom apartment instead 2. Take a 3-bedroom apartment and pay over $350 more per month 3. Get my money back and somehow find another apartment that same day while standing there with an entire moving truck full of my belongings. Melanie, the leasing agent who showed me the original apartment and told me it was the unit I was applying for, seemed completely unconcerned about the situation and offered little help. Victoria, the on-site manager, essentially told me my choices were to move into the wrong apartment or somehow find another place to live that same day. Now, only one week into my lease, they have found another 2-bedroom apartment that actually matches what I originally requested--but they expect me to pay over $350 more per month for it. I understand mistakes happen. What is unacceptable is showing someone one apartment, having them sign for another, and then putting them in an impossible situation after their entire life has already been loaded onto a moving truck and transported across state lines. I am one week into a 14-month lease, and if this is how residents are treated before they even unpack a box, I have very little confidence in what the next 14 months will look like.
