Not to be confused with Santa, which is a dude that brings you presents, and Barbara Ann, which is a girl that the Beach Boys were into and stuff. This station is at 224 Chapala Street and is a cute reddish brownish orange miniature station that serves the beach town really well. It looks kind of beach like, which is awesome, and because of this, it fits in well in Santa Barbara, which is a very sleepy town considering how crazy LA is. It closes for 3 hours a day, which is hilarious, from 11 till 2. Now that's a long lunch break! The Amtrak trains also stop here, and they have those beautiful archways and what not - it's amazing. On the way into the station, you'll be whisked past gorgeous beaches and over an amazing viaduct that literally crosses coves and beaches and rocks. It's an amazing part of the world and one which you should feel very lucky to live in. I always feel lucky to visit. They also have a Package Express service here. Barbie likes me to use my package to express myself, so here goes. Again. (pulls down pants) read more

Aside for delays, this guy is extremely rude and treats customers in a despicable patronizing manner. When I decided to sit for a bit to charge my phone inside the greyhound building the minute I sat down the way he ask me for my ticket was beyond aggressively rude and argumentative as if he has a stick up his a** right away demanding for my ticket and name. I ask for his name, rudely and childishly but surely he refused to tell me his name so now you will be shown. I WILL NOT take grey ground from Santa Barbara again, poor customer service and delays are more likely if you got a connection. Please avoid going near the greyhound building and or inside, you're subject to a more bitter experience by this staff member! read more

Greyhound Bus Lines - Rude EVIL Greyhound Employee - Transportation Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

This is the worst traveling experience I have ever had and I've flown Spirit. Times are convenient but everything else just sucks. I show up 20 minutes early(like the recommend) and wait in the cold until the bus gets there at the departure time. My worst mistake was buying multiple trips at one time because I would've cancelled if i could! I'm now waiting on the bus at 2 in the morning when we were supposed to leave 20 minutes ago... The driver says he's been driving since San Diego and can't keep driving or else he will fall asleep at the wheel. Great. Now we are waiting for I guess dispatch to find another driver to drive because they either didn't schedule someone or they didn't show up to work. The drivers are always rude and I can't stand this method of travel. Never taking Greyhound bus lines again. I'll have to deal with Amtrak's inconvenient time schedule. :( not happy read more

The business is open at odd hours. I called several times during their open hours but no one answered. I eventually bought my ticket online and showed up an hour before the bus ride to Los Angeles. The bus, unfortunately, was delayed for 1.5 hours, which sucked big time since it added to the hour I showed up ahead of time. The staff person was friendly but the whole establishment seemed rather disorganized. The positive about this station is that is is near the beach and downtown shops and restaurants (had a time on my hands!), and the station is next to train station which has historic-like aesthetics. So, at least the nice views and entertainment options are plenty while one waits for delayed service... read more

Worst method of transportation ever! Got to the bus station early only to wait even longer due to a 2 HOUR delay! Absolutely ridiculous. The bus from Santa Barbara to LA ALWAYS gets there late and Greyhound never provides another bus or at least a taxi. Also tickets are overpriced and people on the bus are ghetto af read more

First time taking this bus company, now it will be my last. -Very Rude. -The worker here doesn't speak English very well. -Bus was very late. Oh how awful this company is with customer service. It was a simple trip. Santa Barbra to Anaheim. Just to let everyone know, you need to have tags from this company on the bags that you bring. The employe that works here didn't bother telling me that I needed tags on them, even after he "checked" them. I arrived at my destination to find out that my bags that were stored underneath the bus were taken off in LA, this was one of the stops on the bus route to my destination. My bus driver gave me the information on who to call. When I asked why he didn't tell anyone that bags were taken off the bus he just threw up his hands and said,"what do you want me to do about it"? Then stepped onto the bus and left. Tried calling LA, no one would pick up. Automated voice Machine is completely broken and would hang up if you can't get ahold of anyone. Called main office In Texas, told me I had pick them up myself. Literally had to get help from a friend to pick up my bags at the stop in LA. This was a nightmare to go through, for a little extra cash just take Amtrak. Trust me it's worth the a little extra to stay away from greyhound. read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could besides the delays the guy is very rude and unhelpful seems like he does not care about his costumers and besides the fact that they are only open odd hrs some times its closed when its soposed to be open and they dont answer the phone ether , delays, they cancel on me 2 times on a day very poor service nothing but a bunch incompetent of losers , stay away from this place I had a very bad experience.... read more

Basically RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and LATE. Our bus driver drove up about 10-15 mins late. We waited for an extra 30 minutes while he took his sweet time inside the tiny bus station. He kept the previous people on, and didn't let anyone else get on so....everyone just stood outside in the hot sun in line ....while waiting for him because he never told anyone how long he would take. Then when he did come back, he started loading people on. He checked my boyfriend's ticket and okayed him to go on. I went to hug him and he YELLED at us to get a move on. THERE WERE OTHER PEOPLE HE WAS STILL CHECKING. It's not like he was waiting for us. My boyfriend lives a distance away and we don't get to see eachother as often as we like to. Bus driver was very rude and inconsiderate. HELLO you work in a travel business, isn't it evident good byes will be said?! My boyfriend later told me, the bus driver couldn't provide any info on his route and was super rude to him and others the whole time ( which I am not surprised, as we experienced that at the station for a good 40+ minutes). Bus driver super clueless/didn't care about destination information. Just WOW. Never will I take Greyhound again, nor will my bf. Nor will anyone we know. We will stick with Amtrak, thank you very much. read more

If I could give this company a 0 star I would, I would never recommend anyone to purchase tickets from this company and definitely never going back to this ever again. This was my first time ever trying Greyhound company and their service is absolutely horrible. I purchased a roundtrip ticket, showed up at the bus stop an hour earlier than my departure time and the bus never showed up. Being a woman, I was stuck at the bus stop alone in the freezing cold at midnight for more than 3 hours and could've been kidnapped by strangers around. I've been asking them to refund my tickets and they keep on denying my requests when it was NOT my fault that I wasn't able to take my trips which is very unprofessional and rude of them. I am beyond frustrated and angry at this company, even considering suing them if they don't refund my tickets. DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more

This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The customer service is horrible. The driver was over an hour late and then when asked why they left the bus unattended and told the passengers to find another driver. While waiting, another employee told all passengers to get the f#$@ off the bus because they had no driver and didn't know when one would be available. It was impossible to contact anybody in customer service to find out when a remedy for the situation would be available. I tried to get a refund due to all these horrendous problems and service to no prevail. Only offered a 39.99 voucher. Seriously..where am I supposed to go for 40 bucks. Don't ever ride greyhound!! You will be sorry!! read more

2 and a half hours late!! I had a 2 hour layover and missed it! No compensation. Worst experience traveling.

Probably one of the worst customer services I've ever dealt with. Lied about bus times saying they were not accurate when they were, did not give a refund, gave my friend a MONTH old ticket so if we had taken the bus she would've not been able to go on, does not give any notice or email if the time changes. NEVER TAKE THIS BUS LINE read more

They don't open on time. Guy who work there doesn't speak English very well. Plus he doesn't know his work. 2 times he made me wait 30 min to call somebody and help him over the phone. Before I went there I checked their hours on google they said open 24 hours but actually they have different schedule. They don't open on weekends read more

We were stranded on the side of the road because of a oil leak. Greyhound refused to send a bus until a mechanic came to check 2 hours later. After that, 2 hours later, we are still waiting for another bus to fetch us. We have now waited for 4 hours since the bus broke down read more

I took a friend to the bus station...no signs like...San Francisco here...zero information...when my friend ask one of the attendance ...is this bus going to San Francisco?...the man answer with a really bad attitude ...this bus is not going to Salinas or San Jose or anywhere near San Francisco...can you just say...no ,this bus is going to Los Angeles!...later the bus going to San Francisco came, so I stood next to the door ...the same nasty man scream ...STAND BACK NOW!!! ...I complaint about his screams and his poor customer service...and he asked, are you traveling?...I said no...who is traveling...I said my friends!...WELL THEY ARE NOT TRAVELING IN THIS BUS! ...why? ...because of you!!...Jesus Christ, what kind of people work for this company??...I am pretty sure other employees are better than this unruly, nasty employee!!! who owns this company...Donald Trump!!!! I know in my heart there are a lot good people working for this company...but this man was not best man to represent you guys! read more

The prices are reasonable, but I guess you pay for what you get because the buses are old and disgusting!!!
