In her rush, she dislocated my ribs from by sternum. When I screamed she said she was sorry multiple times and tried to put it back - three times in two days. I ended up going to an ortho, the hospital for x-rays, my primary care doc, and another chiropractor to fix it. Then I get a BILL from her office for the "treatment"! When I called thinking the bill was in error, I was told that since I received treatment, the bill was valid. When I asked that they just pay my copays for the treatment I needed to correct the injury Dr W inflicted on me, the "Doctor" sent me a curt email saying that wouldn't be happening and if I didn't like it I can contact her malpractice insurance company. (She told he previously, before she decided to be nasty, that she has done this 4 times before) Omg .. are you freaking kidding me?! Dr Chang takes his time with you, he doesn't just adjust your back and neck and kick you out the door. I'm also having hand and shoulder problems and he actually adjusted my wrist and elbow bones too. He also does a short tens unit session in your sorest places after he does your adjustment. There is a massage therapist in office as well that you can schedule with. The office is in an old renovated house and it's really comfortable there and everyone who works there is so nice. They also take my insurance and I just have a reasonable copay. I would not hesitate to recommend this office. I feel great every time I leave. Dr Chang also has a great sense of humor and he cracks me up during my treatment. I do like it a lot here.

I was so relieved to know that I had finally found someone who could help me with my pain and manage a new way of life for myself. However the person that works at the front desk, Lucy, will be the reason he has lost me for a new patient. On my initial visit, I walked in the was barely greeted and was given an attitude as though she was being terribly bothered by walking in the door. There was no smile and no warm greeting whatsoever. It is a reminder that when people walk into a chiropractic office it is because they are in critical pain and they should be greeted with a warm smile and compassion. She has none... Then as I was getting ready to leave she informed me that their office is out of network for my insurance and that I owed them $95! In the initial paperwork, they asked for insurance information and if the insurance is out of network or is not covered then it has been my experience in offices that the patient is informed as a courtesy. I called the office this morning and immediately she was on the defensive and said that she does not call the patient to let them know that information that it is the responsibility of the patient to know everything before they walk in the door... Part of that may be true, but my insurance covers chiropractic... It would've been a great courtesy if they had let me know they we out of network and I could've made other arrangements to find someone in network. This was a referral that I was given to go to this office, and she, Lucy, is ruining any possibility of new clients for this office. I would not recommend anyone to go to that office just because of her and the doctor would do well to address the situation and make necessary changes if he feels his business would benefit from it. I know one thing... I will never go back to that office again no matter how much he may have helped me someone like her can make all the pain come back again in an inadvertent way!

Tom Dutcher is as good as it gets when it comes to Chiropractic care…read more I started seeing Tom around 2005 after a major snowboarding accident. With four bulging discs C4-7, I was in fear on of herniating. I literally felt numbing in my fingers. I went three days a week for a period of time and some physical therapy. I believe in the healing that Tom provides. He is very spiritual in how he educated you about what he is doing and how the body reacts to movement and treatment. He doesn't force an adjustment. He is methodical. Needless to say, I've recovered fully. I didn't need to have any fusion. I see Tom periodically as needed. Lately it's been maybe four times per year, if that. And I travel over an hour one way to see him now that I've moved away from Portland. I refuse to see anyone else. Thanks Tom. You are the Superman of Chiropractors. And a stand up human being.
