Most of the muscles in my left leg had atrophied, and I was in constant pain. At the time of my knee injury, I lived in Eugene, and received care from a great PT there. Upon moving to Portland, I was worried about finding a new PT who understood my goals and frustrations with my injuries. After a referral from my father who had seen Aubree for a shoulder injury, I decided to make an appointment. Upon meeting Aubree, I instantly felt heard, and could tell that she understood my goals to get back to working out at a high intensity as quickly as possible. I owe healing my knee to her! Two years later, I injured my hip, and after two months of failed chiropractic care gave Therapeutic Associates NE a call. Aburee was completely booked, so I scheduled the first appoint with Jens. Basically, he is amazing! Jens is extremely knowledgeable, and within 5 visits I have now been discharged with no pain and am back to full range of motion in my hip. Jens knows his stuff, and provides genuine care to his patients. The front desk staff are also so sweet and helpful! They are very knowledgeable about insurance benefits, and walked me through exactly how much I should expect to pay before starting PT. I went in hoping for the best and things seemed at least standard/avg but in the end I discovered…read morethe billing had been really messed up and they had billed to a previous accident I was in and accrued a debt without letting me know--when I still had pip funds. Then my pip ran out and it was a whole year later. When the lawyer called to check in with all my providers , only then did they send me a bill for a very large balance. I called them to understand what had happened. Got the above story and asked them to hold themselves accountable for their billing mistakes. They insisted they would not take any responsibility--even though they had done the billing incorrectly and not let me know when it was initially refused (when I still had pip funds). So I wouldn't recommend them on a billing angle. In addition, I had Aubrey work with me and she made an adjustment to my neck that unfortunately I needed 3 sessions with my chiro to correct. I mentioned that the adjustment hadn't worked for me and Aubrey was defensive in response, so I just dropped it. After that I just stuck with going over exercises rather than having more adjustments. I actually wish I had overall just left and chosen a different place. I wasn't going to mention any of this but when they wouldn't hold themself accountable for their billing mistakes in anyway and want part of my bodily injury settlement which won't be that much and I really need for continued treatment I thought I'd write something so there is accountability somewhere. Update: One day after I wrote this review I got a call from the office that Aubrey wanted to offer me 50% off the balance. I appreciate her taking some responsibility towards an office error. I do hope in the future that this can be done without a review--for both parties involved.

I thought time would heal me, but three years later I still couldn't hike and I had even started changing/limiting plans when I felt like there would be more walking than my foot could handle. Last fall, I found myself at Forest Park with a friend, and I had to return to the car after ~1/4 mile. That was rough. Then I met Dr. Bradley Brown, and under his care I've made so so much improvement in the THREE MONTHS that we've worked together. I'm not a 'gym guy' and I'm pretty 'body unaware,' so I was really dreading being asked to show my PT how I moved and how I did the exercises he assigned me. But that was never a problem with Bradley, he's so positive and encouraging, and he's great at giving the kind of instructions/cues I need to do my exercises correctly. I look forward to my PT appointments - words I thought I'd never say. This summer, I expect to be back on the mountains.
