You only need to arrive 5 minutes before your appointment. You will be waiting outside on the patio. Drew asked me about areas I wanted her to focus on and then gave me a nice massage. The treatment room had a lot of light and that is only downside for me. I like it dark in the room if possible. I recommend getting a 90 minute massage so they can focus on issues and give you a full body massage too. The location is great near lots of shops and restaurants if you want to make a day of it.

You will need to allow extra time to potentially drive in circles trying to find a spot and then may have to walk multiple blocks to get to the address. The other is that most of the massage rooms are upstairs This could be an issue for those with pain.

Dr Raeburn has proved to be deeply informative, thorough, a patient listener, has taken every step along the way to cater to my individual circumstances, and has, of all the people I've seen by now - and they include orthopaedists, physical therapists, radiologists, and other chiropractors - been the one I've most trusted to understand the specifics of my injury and the most genuinely inclined to try and actually help me. He's generous with his time, will answer any question you have and, I can't emphasize this enough, develops an understanding of the nature of YOUR injury. Believe me, being granted time and interest by a doctor is not a common thing. The spine is not something to mess with. A sloppy chiropractor can do serious damage. A half-assed physical therapist will drain your bank account and offer you little relief. I've learned this the hard way. The first chiropractor's examination of me was so slapdash that he had no idea of the severity of my injury, no idea there were impinged nerves. He actually recommended that I continue to play basketball. He leaned into my leg during my adjustment as though he were moving a boulder. In contrast, Dr. Raeburn took well over an hour to examine me initially. It turned out I'd rather seriously injured a couple discs in my lower back. The first chiropractor I visited had happened to be nearby my neighborhood. Of course I had hopes one adjustment would do and I'd be pain-free and asymptomatic within days. I came into the office one afternoon, described my injury in a few minutes, was assured my back was healthy, had my legs heaved around a couple times for a few pops that didn't come easily, and after two such visits I was in far worse pain. I still didn't know what exactly was wrong, but I knew whatever it was was worse. And that this wasn't a chiropractor I had any faith in. I looked elsewhere, and I found Dr Raeburn. I am genuinely grateful. The road to recovery for a herniated disc is a long and complicated one, but he has helped greatly in finally getting me on course. Where to start with Dr. Raeburn... This man is as compassionate as it gets. I came in with more problems than I think he's ever seen on one of his patients. He was absolutely up for the challenge. I called looking to schedule an appointment hoping maybe it could be done in a few days but they were actually able to get me in within 25 minutes, but I chose to take the appointment that was 2 hours away, for I live far away. When we arrived we were greeted kindly, and then proceeded to fill out the usual paperwork. When all was done I was guided into the room where I was to be seen. A few minutes later, in comes a rather large man, who, just from a physical standpoint, looked very capable of chiropractic work..haha. I researched him beforehand and found out that he had something like 8 different certifications(ART, Chiropractic, lower extremity, etc) and was impressed..that's a lot of school! He quickly got down to business and we started talking about my issues and devising a plan to take care of them. We did a lot of tests and I actually learned a lot. He's the opposite of a normal chiropractic practitioner, he actually takes his time. He is very, very thorough. Five stars is no exaggeration. Dr Raeburn is a excellent Chiropractor. I have seen several Chiropractors in my lifetime. Many have been adequate and helping improve movement or relieve neck and back pain. But Dr Raeburn is so much more than a chiropractor. He spends time listening to concerns. He works on muscle groups that support the neck and back. He offers exercise advice that help to build up areas that need assistance. He truly sees the whole picture when it comes to your body's physical health. And does all of this with respect and a gentle strength. Dr. Raeburn has the perfect blend of knowledge, demeanor and passion for Chiropractic care. He takes the time to get to the root of the problem, working on the muscles as well as the bones. I was impressed with the way that he explained anatomy and physiology in a fashion that I could easily understand. Dr. Raeburn and his staff are absolutely excellent- professional yet provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Raeburn will take away any previous fears some may have about chiropractic care. Weeks after my first appointment with Dr. Raeburn I still feel way better than before I went in. Just a few weeks back from hiking the PCT my body was in need of some cackin' and poppin'. Initially, I went to Overlook Chiropractic for help with a neck injury I suffered years ago. Dr. Raeburn worked on my neck for a couple of months and now the chronic pain in my neck and shoulder are gone. I work at a heavy industrial job where I need to have spinal adjustments periodically and he is always able to set my back straight again. His training in sports medicine really helps me with the strains and aches I get from work. He is my primary care doctor, actually he is the only doctor I see. Highly Recommended! read more

This is a long one, but i really wanna warn as much people as I can. So let me start from the very beginning so that this all makes sense, at the end of March of 2018 I was involved in a really bad care accident that nearly killed me, I had fractured my back in two spots, bruises ribs, whiplash, hematoma on my chest & stomach it was pretty bad. I was googling where to go for treatment when I found Growing care which is also known as Portland Family Health I decided to give them a try and go there because it was closer to home. I can't say anything horrible about the staff the massage therapists are great had no problems with them, but the chiropractors are always tried working on me when the surgeon I was going to told me not to get any back adjustments because they would make my back feel worse, which was very true. I had literally broken my back, back adjustments make you feel even more worse the next day they did not make feel better, so essentially it prolonged my pain until I had enough and said no.. But this not where they screwed me over. In September of 2018 I was involved in another car accident, not as bad of a car accident but it still prolonged my injuries, so I continued going to Growing care because my insurance opened another pip claim so they were going to cover it. I'm not a complete moron when it comes to clinics, especially chiropractic/massage clinics, because I worked in a few for a few years, and never have I ever seen anyone being treated the way I was treated. The worst person at this clinic would be the manager Liz because she has no idea what she is doing. The part that the screwed me over is that, from the dates of 5/31/18 - 6/13/18 they NEVER billed my insurance company, go figure. Leaving my to pay an outstanding balance of $1,400 dollars. HOW DO YOU WORK IN A CLINIC, BUT YOU'RE NOT ACCURATE?! It makes no damn sense. So I didn't work for a while, after my car accident, I didn't work for about maybe a year or so until I got back into work part time working 2-3 days a week. I still don't work as much as I used to, I lost my job currently due to personal issues about 6months ago, and due to COVID-19 I haven't been able to attain another job. Growing care has been harassing me for a year and and 4 months to pay for that bill, a bill in which I thought that was billed to Allstate, even my attorney told me don't pay it until we figure it out. So I wait and wait, the manager at Growing care still harassing me over $1,400 which mind you they made OVER 30k off me and my mom going there. They ALONE mad over 20k ON ME.... just one car accident was 20k and the other one was probably around 10-15k.. and then I referred my mom to go there because she was in the car with me in September when we crashed. They made around 10k off her. So they made around 40k maybe even more all together and they are being petty over $1k that I doubt even have? Around April 16 & April 27th they threatened to take me to collections if I didn't pay, which left me scrambling for money, and asking to borrow money from people so I could pay. Let me get this straight, I have no problem paying for something that I owe, I'm a very correct person, and if I owe a bill I don't want it hanging over my head. That's why I was working with my attorney to see what I owe and what I don't owe. So I ended up paying for it, because my credit score is already shit, and I don't want a collecting agency to harass me as well. But when YOU don't do your job the right way, and don't BILL the insurance company, I have a problem with that, because that really screwed me over. I found out 1 year and 4 months later that they never even billed my insurance company leaving me to pay for something I could barely afford. Now the part that I mentioned where I've worked in clinics before? I've seen my clinic manager write off 1-3k off patients who couldn't afford to pay it off because they were severally injured and they had racked up 20-30k in bills that insurance already covered.
