Dr. Hansel has a great bedside manner. He listens and is very reassuring that he's going to make you fell better. You can walk in for a urgent care or he's also a primary care physician. Plenty of doctors out there are of the mindset of "treat em and streat em." He wasn't that way. I was in and out in a half hour. Jill at the front counter is a super star as well. A little update! I have made Dr Hansel my primary Physician. What a caring amazing guy he is. Shares his personal stories, spends TIME with his patients. I have never felt like my 10 minutes was up. Dr handles urgent care is the best I've ever seen. He's also willing to be your pcp. He's kind and understanding in people's problems and situations which facilitates care faster and better. Dr. Hansel is the best! I've been to see him for everything from a knee and shoulder injury to cyst removal to Botox. He has a beautiful clinic, easy to get in on a pinch and I have been able to afford medical care when I needed it, as Health Insurance is a wet dream for this self-employed girl. He has always done an excellent job on fixing my issues. I would also highly recommend him for Botox or fillers, he has an excellent talent for taking away my frowns. read more

I still can't give 5 stars but I really, really like this doctor. Why only 4 stars again? His credentials are ND, which in my humble opinion means Doctor of Naturopathy. I was thrilled when I first found him and his office is sort of close to where we live.The way I see how the doctor does the business has not much to do with naturopathy. So I find it a bit misleading to me because his practice is alopathic type. But the man really cares and he is honest telling you his abilities to help are at the "end of the rope." His humor is uplifting and that on its own somewhat helps you to feel better. P.S. I never got the call back with the information I was promised at my first visit however, he has always returned calls with concerns of my boyfriends health issues though. read more

I saw Dr. Hansel a few months ago for an uncomplicated blood pressure issue. He provided excellent service. His knowledge base becomes quickly apparent, but more importantly, he provides all the time and explanation each patient needs to understand both their condition and the treatment plan. The facilities are pleasant, very clean and organized. The ancillary staff is polite, friendly and competent. Waiting time was less than 5 minutes. Pricing -- It would be hard to find more affordable service in the urgent care arena in the Portland area. He even offers an "early bird" discount! Oh man! The doc saved me. I fainted early in the morning from what a later found out was a very bad bladder infection. Not having insurance right now, my husband didn't know where to take me as I was out of it. We came to Dr.Hansels right at 8am. The very sweet receptionist asked if we had an appt. (due to COVID temp. Changes) which we didn't. She could tell I was in pain and invited us in to be seen despite not having an appt. and assured me I would be helped. And help they did! They ran a lab test, and Dr. Hansel was so empathetic and genuinely wanted to see me get better. He got me the right medicines and even let me just take my time despite the dizziness. He didn't make me feel rushed or an inconvenience because of having to squeeze us in. Just a nice genuine guy. And the receptionist is such a sweetheart. And the cost in the end was reasonable and saved us probably thousands if we had gone somewhere bigger. Thank you so much! Yes! Go to them! They're good people who want to help read more

I procrastinated getting a pre-employment physical until the day it was due. Luckily, Dr. Hansel was able to see me first thing in the morning, basically saving the day! The physical was thorough and comfortable, the doctor is personable and great to chat with, and I was able to submit the forms on time. It was also nice to know how much I would be paying ahead of time, thanks to his website that listed the cost of physicals and urine tests. I had terrible pain in my abdomen and was stressed out that I had appendicitis. Jill was so awesome on the phone and got me in right away. I found Dr. Hansel online and I was very impressed by the reviews. I was doing a search for my little sister who was very ill but very resistant to urgent care based on previous experience. I was so pleased to hear that in the course of her reluctant visit she was completely won over by Dr. Hansel and his office. They were courteous and quick and most of all they were extremely kind. The element of kindness no longer seems to be a part of urgent care experiences. In the age of insanely high, practically useless insurance it is a blessing to find some humanity and real care and concern from a doctor to his patients. Dr. Hansel not only gave my sister the medical care she desperately needed for a severe sinus infection but he restored her faith in at least one doctor. Fast, affordable healthcare. It took me longer to fill out paperwork than it did for me to hear my name called by the doctor. We've all waited in an urgent care before, usually not very happy about it, in pain or sick and waiting for what feels like days to see a doctor. We sit there listening to the receptionists and medical assistants gossip about patients and wish that we could just not be there. This place isn't like that. It's a gem. Dr. Hansel was pleasant and thorough when explaining to me what was going on. Not only did he prescribe me meds for mastitis, he also explained that if I took a holistic approach and changed my diet to include lots of fresh fruit and veggies (cut the donuts, etc.) that the infection would go away much more quickly and the pain when breastfeeding would subside. I really liked him. And I really love that you're not waiting an eternity. I won't go anywhere else. read more
