Been periodically going here for years until a couple of months ago. Although I prefer to be in and out of these kind of things things, Dr. W is WAY too rushed. In her rush, she dislocated my ribs from by sternum. When I screamed she said she was sorry multiple times and tried to put it back - three times in two days. I ended up going to an ortho, the hospital for x-rays, my primary care doc, and another chiropractor to fix it. Then I get a BILL from her office for the "treatment"! When I called thinking the bill was in error, I was told that since I received treatment, the bill was valid. When I asked that they just pay my copays for the treatment I needed to correct the injury Dr W inflicted on me, the "Doctor" sent me a curt email saying that wouldn't be happening and if I didn't like it I can contact her malpractice insurance company. (She told he previously, before she decided to be nasty, that she has done this 4 times before) Omg .. are you freaking kidding me?! If anyone has any questions, or would like to see proof of this, to include that email from the "doctor", I'm happy to share. read more

I've been seeing chiropractors since I was young and have one in my family. So I know good ones from mediocre ones. Drs. Chard and Waggoner are great at making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. Their assistants are excellent at using all the latest medical equipment to relax your achy muscles and allow the doctors to fix whatever spinal issues you're having. What's so good about Active Family Chiropractic is what they don't do: Order LOTS of expensive X-rays, try to sell you heel lifts, foot inserts, belts, vitamins and other remedies, and tell you that you have to commit to a treatment "plan" of 4 visits per week for 4 weeks, then 3 for 3X etc. They simply fix your problem and have you leaving the office with a smile on your face. I have been seeing Michelle Waggoner one of the Chiropractors here since she was at the Chiropractic college. She and Michelle Chard opened this amazing practice together. I have see. Both of them and I can say they both do an amazing job. When you go into the treatment room, first you tell them what is bothering you, and they feel around to see what's what. Next they use the "Tens" machine which sends an electric current to your muscles and relaxes them along with a heavy cozy warm pad. After the time is up on the machine you get a bit of a massage in the area needing the adjustment. After all that, one of the Michelle's comes in and "adjust's" you. I love that they get you loose prior to the adjustment, I have a friend that goes to a Chiropractor that adjusts you as soon as you get in the door, NO THANKS! My family loves Dr. Chard and the whole staff! I had regular adjustments the second half of my pregnancy and I felt they helped so much with my general comfort as well as with helping my daughter into an optimal position for delivery. Since having my daughter I have brought her in regularly for craniosacral and she has made such great improvements with her latch and overall feeding comfort for both of us. I have been going to these chiropractors for more than two years and would highly recommend them. I first began getting adjusted here (plus they give a ten minute mini massage before the adjustment! Heaven!!) before the birth of my twins. Dr. Chard specializes in prenatal adjustments and I have now had 3 kids with all my prenatal adjustments with her. The staff is beyond amazing too. My insurance coverage literally took over a year to reimburse them and they were so gracious and kind about it even though I felt like a jerk since they didn't get paid for so very very very long. They really care about you and want to see you taken care of, so don't let complicated insurance coverage stop you, they will help you. I love their kid friendly rooms too, such a relief to know when I am face down on the adjustment table they are not getting into anything bad. Last note, the massages there are fantastic!! Pregnant moms!!! They have foam pads so you can actually lay on your "belly"!! This saved me in both my pregnancies so much. Not only did she tremendously help my lower back pain during the last trimester, but I am convinced that her treatments contributed to quick, easy delivery I had (even though it was my first pregnancy). I saw Dr. Waggoner for approximately 3 years while I lived in Gresham, Oregon. I recently had to move to another state and one of the biggest challenges will be finding a chiropractor as good as Michele Waggoner. She and her staff took great care of me. I have degenerative disc disease and sometimes created other problems for my back as well from lifting things too heavy, to playing on the floor too long with my grandson. Without fail, I felt better after my visits to Active Family. I loved the messages too! I've been suffering from lower back pain and neck pain for several months. My lower back felt immobile, even when attempting to do some yoga poses there was no flexibility. My first appt they used the tens and heat, massage and adjustments. After my treatment my neck and back felt some much looser. I'd been going to PT for a couple months and didn't see any results but after one appt at Active Family it was a miracle. I have much more flexibility in my lower back I hadn't had in several months. I'm very happy with the results. The staff is amazing and Dr. Waggoner is a miracle worker. I can't believe the huge difference with just a couple visits, even after the first initial visit.
