Quick update: We stopped by yesterday to check out the veggie plants and found a good, healthy supply waiting for us in spite of a very busy weekend afternoon. They had lots of tomato plants, peppers, cabbage, cukes and lettuce all reasonably priced. We passed on the budding flowers -- just too soon in the season, we think. But they had a lot of choices, so we'll be back in mid-May. We also like their indoor store; they have some fresh-grown tomatoes that are tasty and sell some very good locally grown canned and bottled products (try their apple sauce - really yummy). This is a great farmer's market where you can find local produce and products. They have delicious apples and vegetables. Service is fast. It's popular and there were lots of customers there. There's plenty of parking. They have a greenhouse attached to the shop. read more

I always drive by this farm and finally was able to stop in. Their farm store was filled with fresh produce, dairy, jams, honey, etc. parking was plentiful when we went. This farm has 130 acres of vegetables and 1.5 acres of berries. They also have 600 chickens that lays fresh eggs. They offer CSAs and can be found at the Bristol, Southington, and Collinsville farmer's markets. On this visit, I was looking for pumpkins and mums. They had a huge selection of mums, pumpkins, gourds, flowers, and Indian corn. They even had bales of hay for purchase. There's a cashier outside in the garden area and they have wheelbarrows for you to use. The mums and pumpkins were a good price. Overall, a great place to get farm fresh items and all of your seasonal garden needs. read more

Well, we found a great new business that has a TON of flowers, plants, vegetable flats, trees, bushes, and half a dozen greenhouses filled with even more stuff. Gresczyk Farms is just plain flat out incredible. There might be half a million products sprawled across their massive property and inside those six greenhouses. They are a real farm too, with 130 acres of vegetables, 600 chickens, and one and a half acres of berries. They also have a garden center, a CSA program, and a farm store where I bought a jar of their salsa made from their own tomatoes. We picked up three flats of flowers for Phase One of decorating an area around the front steps. We'll definitely be back for more. read more

I have shopped at Gresczyk Farm for forty years and always found the best produce, dairy , bakery and Jams at wonderful prices and great service. Today was no exception a full bag of corn for $25.00!! I have to compliment an outstanding farm stand employee today, her name is Rachel, when she saw me heading over to the stacked bags of corn, she hurried over and said please let me help you with that, I said let s do it together, she said no please let me take it to your car.She picked up that huge bag and carried it to my car! While driving to Torrington, I noticed Gresczyk Farms in New Hartford. I pulled over into their lot because their wide assortment of Christmas Trees caught my eye. Gresczyk Farms are family owned and operated, they grow a variety of fruits and vegetables as well as have fresh cage free eggs. Of course what they produce varies by season. Their list of produce is very impressive. Additionally, they make their own jams, fruit butters and spices. Their Christmas trees are the reason I had stopped by. These trees are small to medium, none would be close to touching your ceiling, even with a large star on top. That's totally fine. I do prefer a larger tree. However, for a small tree, these are a bit pricey. They are $95 and up. I do understand they are family business, and they are the ones selling their trees, not a third party. I just couldn't justify the price. They also sell handmade reefs that are bedazzled with bows and festive ornaments. In their little store they had some very plump tomatoes and purple potatoes that caught my eye. They also sell some locally made candles. Gresczyk Farms is a lovely family business, I'm curious to see what they have in the spring, summer and fall. read more

They have a lot of flower and vegetable plant choose - even corn to Plant which is hard to find! I was also able to get topsoil and potting soil there. One stop... Love it. Solid selection of veggies, tropicals, annuals, roses, perennials, hanging pots, and shrubs. Cheap mulch and compost prices. Bought 2 Wisteria from them and they are taking well. Love that they have 4in pot perennials!! I was finally able to plant things around areas with wires and roots due to it. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I love this little farm stand! They offer a CSA at the beginning of the new year which I wish I passed by with more regularity so I could participate. The quality of the produce is always good, and their store has a lot of locally produced food including rolls, honey, spices, and ice creams. They do accept credit cards, and the weekend prior to Thanksgiving they have a fall festival with more local vendors that will add some great tastes to your holiday meal. read more

Family owned, family operated, and a family feel when you walk in. Bruce and his family are right there ready to share what's fresh, what's coming, and what they recommend. Classic new England farm stand. The stars, for me, are the tomato based products. Family made marinara sauce, family made puttanesca sauce, and family made Bloody Mary mix. All have very "tomato-y" flavor. Very fresh tasting and all natural. Worth the trip to New Hartford for the best tasting sauces you can buy. Not cheap, but if you want to make a special dinner, these sauces will make it great. read more

This review is not for the farm itself rather for their CSA. This year was the first year that I ever participated in a CSA. I went in with someone and split a full share. Now when we were discussing it I will admit that I had my reservations about the whole thing however the price per week and the produce seemed to make sense so I agreed and it turned out to be the biggest mistake. For the first few weeks we got an abundance of kale and swiss chard. I mean honestly how much kale and chard can two people eat? The pieces of corn that we got in the beginning were pathetic (I was honestly buying better stuff at the grocery store!). And some of the other items were weak and meager at best. Then we got some strawberries which looked like they had just started growing and were picked before they were ready that's how small they were. The same thing happened with the potatoes we received. What am I going to do with a three-inch potato? The tomatoes we got if they weren't ripe they were rotten and I also received a few moldy and rotten yellow squash. Meanwhile my mother was getting her produce there every few days and was raving about how "great" the produce was. How big and ripe the tomatoes were, how big and yummy the strawberries she purchased were which honestly makes me wonder if they are picking the produce, skimming the best pieces off of the top to sell in the store and leaving the meager left over garbage for the crop share. For $250 for my share you'd think I would have received some really quality produce but I didn't. It's really sad when the items in the grocery store are better than what I was getting from my crop share. While I will continue to shop at Gresczyk because over all they do have good, quality items I just will never do a crop share with them -- or probably any place -- again. I highly suggest if you are thinking about doing one next year that you think long and hard about it because for me it ended up being a waste of money and a lesson learned. read more

They sell the best corn. It nice and small ears packed with great flavor! Now where compares. Most of the time I go to the Bristol Farmers Market on Saturdays. It was packed today. They always have great deals like the $3 buckets. You can't go wrong. Everyone working is so friendly and knowable at their produce. This is the best place for fresh produce! read more

A pretty good roadside farm stand, especially for the area. They've got a good selection of fresh vegetable, seasonal items (which for us when we stopped were pumpkins and hay) and locally produced goods. All in all the prices are decent, some better than others. But it's good to know that they're there with local goods. read more

I have been my container flowers for years from here. Thy have always been huge and beautiful. This year, they leave a lot to be desired. Much smaller and prices were a little higher. They were not close to the quality of last year. Huge containers with blues, purples, whites and others with oranges, reds, yellow. I bought six and they just don't have the same pizazz as last year. I will put these elsewhere and find some different ones. It's almost like this was really easy and didn't show the normal care that you always get. I will try again next year and see how they are. The people are friendly and very knowledgable and very helpful. Hope they put the personal touch back in them for what they cost. read more

I cannot say enough nice things about Gresczyk Farms or their CSA. Participating in a CSA is something I had been interested in but did not have the ability to pursue until later in the season. I had been buying from the farm at the Bristol farmers market for a few weeks when I finally decided to sign up. Unlike other farms which had deadlines and waiting lists, Gresczyk's allowed me to sign up late in the season with a discounted price for the weeks I had missed. They allowed me to pick up a share the same day as well which I was not expecting. My fiancé and I paid for a half share, which is so much produce that it's enough for at least 2 other family members as well (and we eat A LOT of vegetables!). Every week the farm provides a list of what you're getting in your share and their favorite ways to cook it, as well as some basic background information about vegetables you might have never tried. The man and young woman who run the stand are so incredibly friendly and helpful, they both are very knowledgable and answer any questions you might have about what's available. Everything in the CSA share is fresh and plentiful, we have never had any issues with produce that seemed anything less than perfect. We're looking forward to the rest of the season and seeing what other wonderful things they have to offer! read more
