I came here with my girlfriend because she wanted to check it out after they recently opened. I ordered some chicken and vegetables and I didn't find it to be very flavourful. I actually prefer Nandos over this place because the chicken has much more flavour. Also I wanted some hot sauce to add to the bland chicken flavour but all they had was Frank's hot sauce which like others mentioned, not very Portuguese. Maybe I will give it another shot and order something else next time if I can find anything else I can eat on the menu. At least they were aware of what was gluten free and what was not. read more

Amazing value, great portions! Fantastic service from the young lovely lady who used to work at Earls. She was attentive, kind, responsive and patient. Their happy hour was amazing - half chicken with TWO sides for only $20! Unheard of. Way bigger portions than Nandos. Their yam fries was delicious, as good as White Spot. They had so many options for sides like fresh vegetables and seasoned rice! We were pleasantly surprised. Very nice atmosphere, super clean and family friendly. Lots of TVs. We will be back!! Not Portuguese Not good service. Servers reach straight across your plate to serve others. Food? Mediocre at best. Not busy but the service was so slow. Waited forever and then received overcooked cold food - a strange combo. The seafood pasta said prawns, it had none - no seafood at all. My hubby had to send his omelet back because it was rubbery and cold. The Mimosa's was tasteless. Seemed like orange drink not orange juice. They charged for coffee refills - coffee ok but not great. Waited more than 20 minutes after asking the waiter for our bill. Won't be going back. read more

I'm not going to beat around the bush - I was hoping for something a bit more... Portuguese. I was looking for something on the menu that screamed Portuguese. Or at least something that didn't look like I ordered it from another peri-peri chicken establishment. I KNOW that Portuguese food is more than that. It MUST be! That being said, I was there during happy hour and discovered a new favourite beer, albeit from a local craft brewery in Vancouver. The cod fritters were good, and the service was excellent (keep in mind that during this visit, provincial health orders mandated no indoor dining, so we were on the small patio). Staff was very friendly and knew the menu well enough to recommend their favourites. The interior looked very inviting - modern. Keep in mind this place has only been open a few months. Hopefully we'll get some choices that will take us to Portugal - we all need a vacation at this point! read more

Who would had thought tucked in Port Coquitlam is this little gem Grelhados serving the most glorious burger of them all! We ordered the Grehaldos Sirloin Beef Sandwich + Chips & Spinach Dip + Crispy Chicken Wings. Although the restaurant features themselves as Portuguese a majority of the items on the menu is your bar and causal classics. The food was great and I think the burger won me over to a 5 star! I honestly can't ask for a better burger! Their beef patty is ridiculously moist and charred to perfection! And even better they have a happy hour menu too that includes a great selection of drinks food! The wings was another favorite too where you get to choose up to two flavours and included a garlic dip! The Dry Peri Peri Mix and salt and pepper would be my top choice if I order again - very tasty if you are into dry rubs!! read more

went there on a Friday for happy hour at 3pm and there were NO patrons,(first clue) The host got us to the table and we ordered 2 beers ,chicken wings and yam fries. It may be because we came in without expectations but we loved the food here. I admit I do not know much about Portuguese food! This does seem like a mid of Portuguese and pub food, regardless it was all DELICIOUS. The fries (both yam and potato) alone are worth coming back many times they where some of the best my husband and I have ever had! The hot wings where different from western wings in a really good way, and actually spicy! The entrees, he had a half chicken and I ordered a bbq chicken sandwich, where just as good as the appetizers and we will be back. read more

Family Meal deal was advertised to come with corn on the cob and garlic bread but did not come with food when delivered. Was told that it not part of the meal even though that's how it was advertised. Would do nothing to correct the mistake. Also the rice was quite bland. Garlic mashed potatoes did not have any garlic. Chicken was pretty good but slightly dry. Peri sauce was really really good though. Don't like coleslaw didn't try it but was just cabbage no other veggies. read more

Restaurant that cares about aesthetics but not the customers. Had a waitress spill beer on me and shatter the glass. This was okay, it happens. Then she proceeded to charge us extra for a cheesy garlic bread we didn't order. She went back to fix the bill, then realized something else was off and went back and fourth at least 5 times. At which point, she finally felt bad enough to give us a discount. Expected an apology from the manager, given she ruined my pants, the order, the bill - but not a single word.
