The whole project was and still is a disaster. From hitting utility lines . Improper mix of concrete which is labeled on the bag , metal inserts installed incorrectly to manufacture instructions some holes less than 18 inch deep , instead of digging post holes to below frost line they just cut down the post to make appear that they put them below the frost line some post holes have zero concrete. Which not sure if that even matters at this point when they didn't even use the concrete correctly.I also contacted quik Crete regarding how they used concrete. they used a dry pour method vs the wet mix which the instruction on bag says wet mix only . Quik Crete confirmed that dry method for this type of concrete was incorrect and it would cause the concrete to prematurely fail or not even bond at all . Damaged panels scuffed gates from when the left the job site with some of the materials for the gate and not taking the proper precautions to protect them in transport . Gate doesn't operate properly and they are not even level . Caps blowing off , fence panels have 10 inch gaps underneath and some are resting on the ground . They also FAILED CITY INSPECTION. The Fence Company installed a new 6' cedar privacy fence to enclose our entire back yard. Before starting this project, my yard had a mashup of many difference fence segments--some chain link, some composite, and a stretch of cedar fence recently put up by a neighbor. Bear's crew demolished and removed the chain link and composite, installed and tied the new cedar in with the neighbor's portion, and even came up with a creative "cutout" solution for a large tree growing on the property line. We have two very small dogs, and it was important that the fence be tight to the ground. Everything turned out being perfectly positioned and aligned, despite many elevation changes in the yard. Where The Fence Company really shines is in gates. We wanted an automatic gate to span across our driveway. The problem is that on a Wauwatosa lot, there's very limited space between houses. A sliding gate wouldn't fit. Three other fence companies told me that they couldn't do it, or quoted ridiculously high prices. Bear proposed a solar-powered swing actuator and custom fabricated a steel support frame rigid enough to pivotally support the span from one side, across the entire driveway, without any sag. The gate hovers just above the driveway to keep our dogs in and is clad with cedar to match the rest of the fence. Because it's solar powered, there was no need to run electrical conduit under the driveway. There is nothing better than hitting a button on my garage opener and seeing the gate swing open and closed.

Although it took a little longer than expected, the fence was installed on July 1 and all of our owners are very pleased with the layout and the look of the fence. The vinyl is high quality, and their installation method with driven steel pipes, which are covered by the vinyl posts, results in a very sturdy fence.
