La Fontaine Buick GMC

I have very high regards with this dealership. We drove quite a ways to purchase our vehicle here…read moreand I have no regrets. My husband and I have been searching for an all electric vehicle since the beginning of the year. We've been doing research on all automakers and have visited over 7 dealerships. We have even reached out to a dealer out in Chicago, and to our surprise every other dealer had been giving us the run around and insulting us with the offer of our trade. So we sold our vehicle to a luxury dealer out in Tennessee all online sight unseen and we have closed on that deal. With that said, we had a clean slate and when my husband ran into La Fontaine Buick GMC of Highland, it changed the entire purchasing game. First they treated us with world class customer service, they did not beau around the bush. He called in the afternoon and by dinner we had purchased a brand new all electric Cadillac! Beth Hunt was our sales representative and she is amazing! Thank you thank you thank you. Since we signed everything electronically, on a beautiful Saturday morning we showed up in Highland shook hands and picked up our gorgeous vehicle. It was the most smooth transaction ever! Beth is very professional, she knows her stuff and we will definitely keep her as our future sales representative. I hands down recommend this dealership and absolutely recommend BETH HUNT! On another review I will tell you all about the fantastic coffee shop and boutique store that is inside this cool dealership!

From the beginning and all thru the entire process everything was a bliss. Beth our sales representative has excellent communication skills. I highly hands down recommend this dealership.

The Brickyard has virtually any part or service you might need for a Bricklin. With approximately 5 Bricklins in various stages of repair/rebuild/refurbishment, they can handle anything from the most minor repairs to off the frame complete rebuild. Designed by Herb Grasse of Batmobile fame, these cars had a production run of about 13 months and made about 2900 cars. Model SV-1 came in 5 colors, and they all had acrylic body panels with gull-wing doors. Ride, handling, performance & size closely matched the Chevrolet Corvette of that era. With a full frame and built-in roll cage, this car was definitely ahead of it's time. It would be several years before another gull-wing car (Delorean) would be produced, and likewise for the acrylic paneled Saturn cars. A testament to the brand is that there are over 1500 still in existence today. My Bricklin is in good shape mechanically, but it needs some body work after having been in Texas for decades. That Texas sun, along with natural aging, tends to put cosmetic cracks in the body panels. I found Bob's Brickyard easily capable of handling the task at hand.

Downtown Garage might be a bit expensive, but it is completely worth it in my opinion. I had a…read moredifferent shop tell me I had a bad head gasket and to get a new engine, which would cost $1,500. I asked the mechanic multiple times if he had run a combustion test, and he always managed to avoid answering. Decided to take it to Downtown instead, and they were incredibly communicative. Never did anything without telling me first, ran multiple tests. Every test came back negative. They didn't know what was wrong with my car, but they knew it wasn't the head gasket. It took a long time, but they finally figured out the problem- I had a faulty sensor which would turn the fans off every so often, which is why my car was overheating. The only time they did something without asking me first, was running another combustion test. And since they didn't ask, they didn't charge. I think that's totally fair. I'm willing to pay extra money on a shop that is honest and does what they say they'll do, and doesn't try to screw me out of $1,500 when it should only cost $150.

On the third day they called me to say they "checked all my work" and confirmed that wasn't the issue so they replaced the fuel injector... but the check engine light was still on. They said they weren't engine experts and recommended I take it to a Ford dealership (or some other place they knows engines). Since I asked them to change my oil when I dropped it off, they did that (too). After all that.... They charged me over $800!!!!!!! My advice stay clear of this place. What they did is criminal to charge me that much to not even fix the issue.
