UPDATE: 5/28 @ 7:00 pm : Your condescending, copy-paste reply completely misses the point of my…read morereview. My complaint has nothing to do with what the insurance or warranty covers. It has everything to do with your unacceptable attitude, cruel personal insults, and complete lack of professional decorum. This fake apology just reinforces exactly what I experienced. A polite internet comment doesn't erase atrocious behavior in person!!!!!!! I had the most horrible experience yesterday with this company and their very rude, condescending technician, Maurice. They were dispatched by my home insurance company. He walked in and was clearly disgruntled from the start. To be transparent, I told him my garage is currently being treated for rodents and the situation is under control. He immediately and falsely stated that this means my home insurance is void. Then he proceeded to say, "I don't know how to say this tactfully, BUT it smells ripe in here." He followed that up by saying, "I won't be working on this machine--I would never get on this filthy floor." He continued to pretend to troubleshoot, moved the machine out from the wall, and left it there blocking my door. He told me my insurance company will let me know if they will service it, adding, "but I WON'T." I am a 68-year-old single woman who is trying to upkeep my house the best I can. I did not appreciate being made to feel subpar and like a dirty, nasty woman in my own home. There is a professional way to speak to a customer and kindly decline service if you need to. I was in tears when he left and felt so humiliated. Maurice desperately needs to take a Customer Service 101 class or at least find some basic decorum. I will NEVER contact this company again and will make sure everyone I know avoids them. Shame on this man.

Response = 1 Star In my experience I had to leave messages and No live person every answered the phone 2. Customers service & friendliness = 3 Stars after finally getting ahold of Ronnie he had not so friendly attitude {As if it was my fault I couldn't get ahold of him as he stated " he left me a message" with attitude) But, when he showed up he was friendly;)) } 3. Guarantee his work or stands by his craftsmanship as appliance repair = Negative--- 0 Stars When he showed up he did little that I witnessed and never opened up dryer to check electrical boards , switches or anything of the like . All he did was use vacuum cleaner and gave me some fast talking most of which I was unable to comprehend... It's my belief He was just lazy and didn't want to do any work as He stated "I'm retired". He didn't want to look at LG manufacturing manual or anything he just kept saying he doesn't like LG so if he didn't like then he should have not set my appointment or take my hard earned money ... to me that's taken advantage of someone! I am disabled with many physical and mental challenges and I believe he took advantage of that.. after on 2 dryer cycles dryer was giving me exact same error codes so I kindly reached out to Ronnie at which time he told me He refused to come back and do any further repairs or warranty his work . I called and reported to RcWilley and they took notice since I'm Rcwilley customer and said they would not have referred me to Ronnie on the spot appliance repair and apologize for the person whom did refer me . I would stay away and find more reliable appliance repair that knows how to treat customers because it's obvious that Ronnie could careless if he wants your business or not and no one wants to give money to someone with that poor attitude. Disclaimer: this is my opinion based on my personal experiences.

My advice is to buy a new machine and skip the wasted time and money for a failed repair. If you do hire them, be sure to get an estimate in writing.

LG service solution team contracted and fixed an appointment with GVC to fix my refrigerator. To…read moreour surprise, the GVC personal shows up at the door a day before the appointment without prior notice or intimation about his visit. After the initial troubleshoot, i was told that the parts will be ordered and he'll be back in 4-5 days for the repair. Days passed and there was no word from GVC on whether the parts were arrived or not. Getting hold of them is not easy (none will bother to respond to the voice mails), finally after getting hold of them to check on my repair order, they mentioned the parts haven't arrived yet and was given a new date (pushing by a week) and confirmed the repair on a specific day/time(9am-1pm) and none showed up on that day. I felt like i am being fooled about the situation and asked further on why GVC confirmed the date/time in the first place when they don't know when the parts will arrive and doesn't bother to notify or keep me informed instead sharing all the news when I call them. I reminded them on the bad reviews all over the place from customers for the same reasons (very poor communication i.e no emails, no return or update calls). On this, the person on other side was not happy about the facts about their company when presented to them and also bluntly said, they'll go ahead and cancel the repair order. For me, that reflected how serious they were in their business. LG themselves couldn't get hold (or response) of the GVC manager for few days to get the order details to confirm whether the parts are shipped or delayed for any reasons, so think about situation of a customer. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS for any repairs. A very pathetic and horrible company ever worked with. Per BBB(Better Business Bureau), GVC has not obtained the a necessary license from Bureau of Household Goods and Services. https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/tracy/profile/major-appliance-services/gvc-services-pro-appliance-repairs-1156-47043471

Frustrated, I decided to call up my mom who has worked in the appliance industry for over 30 years. She immediately gave me Ray's number from R & M Appliance & Repair Service. One quick call and we had a time set for him to come out. He gave me a call the morning of to give me a window of time in which he'd stop by . He arrived within the window that he gave us and was able to diagnose the problem very quickly. He was very knowledgeable, and even gave me the backstory on why these units were having the issues that we were dealing with. The entire time he was very professional and my daughter even had fun watching him while he worked his magic. Not only did he replace the board on the washer, but he called in to Whirlpool so that it would be 100% covered by them (it's a faulty board that they're aware of, but because it doesn't pose a safety threat there's no recall). He was there for about 30 minutes and by the time he was done I was as happy as a clothes-washing clam. Ray was incredibly nice and very professional. I've honestly never dealt with a nicer repair guy before. I'd highly recommend him to anyone who's having appliance issues. This guy is awesome!

I hadn't heard of the company before and am fairly new to the area. I hate cold calling repair guys, was leery of repair ads on Craigslist, and knew nobody who could recommend anyone reputable. I searched reviews on Yelp and read nothing but positive comments about R & M, so had to give them a shot. Ray asked a few simple questions over the phone to narrow down the problem. He ruled out larger issues and broke it down to 4 potential problems, along with an estimate of what each might cost. I asked about payments that he accepts. He responded "cash or check". It's nice to have options (i.e. I didn't have to run to the ATM). Ray came over that same afternoon. He was personal, professional, and patient with my numerous questions. Perhaps he should have received a higher wage for providing an education on the workings of a refrigerator. He showed me how he ruled out the other issues and luckily, he just needed to replace the heating element in the self-defrost system. With that not working properly, frost built up on the coils which caused poor air flow. No air flow = no cooling. I learned a lot and it was really interesting! My appliance was fixed the same day and the cost was very reasonable! Thank you Ray!! I'm happy to have found your company and will be recommending R & M if I know of anyone who needs appliances repaired.
