The team has been very supportive for the past two weeks. They were listening to a lot of my questions and my concerns for the past two weeks. I am super thankful for Patrick, Annie, and Sheen from the start of my pre-op. Thank you for giving me two cute stress balls for me to squeeze during the operation. They were super helpful! I have been wearing glasses since second grade, and I woke up from a nap after I got home from recovery, and as I'm reaching out for my glasses, I'm like, wait, I don't need this anymore! So it's definitely gonna be an adjustment where I don't have to lift my glasses every time they slide down from my nose, I don't have to have that behind-the-ear pain from the frame that hooks behind my ear anymore, no more foggy glasses when I wash the dishes or when I eat hot, soupy noodles. Super excited to have a life without glasses, and definitely a big adjustment and emotional experience. Thank you to the team at the IQ Laser Vision!

I had LASIK surgery with Dr. Scott Hyver in 2016. One of the main reasons I chose his practice was…read morebecause of the Extended Care Program, which gave me confidence that if my vision changed in the future, I would have access to enhancements. About two years ago (2024), I noticed my vision starting to decline and contacted the office to ask about an enhancement. I was told my vision hadn't changed enough to qualify yet and that I would need to wait. Fast forward to now, and my vision has continued to worsen - especially my distance vision - to the point where it has begun affecting my ability to drive safely. When I contacted the office again, I learned that Dr. Hyver had retired, but I was reassured that the Extended Care Program is still being honored for his former patients. The process, however, has been frustrating. I was first instructed to see my regular optometrist for an updated eye exam, and then I was scheduled for additional testing at IQ Vision, which I had to pay for out of pocket. I'm not sure why these tests aren't covered under the Extended Care Program, especially since they're required to determine eligibility for an enhancement. I also didn't feel that the subjective refraction performed during my visit today accurately reflected my true prescription. At the end of the appointment, I was told that I might not qualify for an enhancement at all, or that they might only recommend treating one eye. While my left eye is noticeably worse, both eyes have declined since my original surgery, and correcting only one eye would still leave me struggling with the other. It's disappointing to have paid for additional testing without knowing whether I'll actually receive the enhancement that was a key reason I chose this practice in the first place. I sincerely hope this isn't a process where former patients are required to pay for evaluations only to be told they don't qualify. I'll update my review once I know the surgeon's final recommendation. Overall, the customer service has been good. My only negative interaction was when I was leaving after my appointment. Although the staff had already confirmed that I had paid, the front desk employee appeared skeptical and wanted to verify it again while I waited, which felt a bit uncomfortable. Overall: I'm reserving final judgment until I hear the surgeon's recommendation, but so far the experience has been a bit disappointing and costly than I expected, especially given the promises of the Extended Care Program that influenced my decision to have LASIK at Scott Hyver's practice.

Then Dr. Shih spent some time reviewing those results before coming in to look at my eyes. Long discussion about pros and cons of different solutions, what I could expect from the surgery and next steps. I asked why she wanted to do surgery on each eye on different dates. Basic answer - it's rare that something goes wrong but if it does we don't want you to have two eyes possibly damaged. Made a lot of sense to me. I was back in the office a few days later to have my eyes measured with different machines to identify the best lens for my eyes. I was a bit apprehensive about the first surgery but it wasn't scary at all. Second eye done two weeks later. Follow up next day after each surgery and then again 1 week later. The results have been amazing. Everything is so much clearer, brighter and less yellow. So glad I had this done. Dr. Shih's skill and professionalism - along with her support team, were important to that success.

From the very beginning, they were attentive, thorough, and incredibly reassuring. They took the time to answer my questions, explain the process clearly, and make sure I felt confident in my decision every step of the way. I even got great music and a fun squishy eye to hold onto during my surgery! :) My vision was very poor at around -7.00 in each eye, so this procedure has been life changing for me. Immediately after the surgery I could see better than I had in years! I experienced very little discomfort throughout. I can now see 15/20, and I have had no issues with my vision since the procedure. It has been amazing to wake up and be able to see immediately, and each day my eyesight just gets better and better! I am very grateful for the skill, care, and professionalism both doctors provided, and I would highly recommend Dr. Parikh and Dr. Nguyen to anyone considering EVO ICL.

Before surgery, my prescription was around -10.00, and even with contacts I struggled to read text on my phone at night. I often needed both contacts and reading glasses just to have a chance. Less than a week after surgery, I'm seeing around 20/25 and can comfortably read even fine print. The procedure itself was completely painless, and the recovery has been far easier than I expected. As amazing as the results are, the real reason I'm writing this review is because of Dr. Parikh. Two days before my scheduled surgery, he noticed something abnormal during my pre-op exam. Instead of proceeding, he refused to do the surgery until I had my eye evaluated by a retinal specialist. Obviously, I was disappointed because I had been looking forward to finally getting the procedure, but he put my safety first without hesitation. I asked if there was any way to get in quickly, and he immediately started texting people in his network from his phone. By the next morning, one of his colleagues, Dr. Silva, was able to see me. It turned out I had a torn retina that needed to be repaired before ICL surgery. After the retina was treated, Dr. Parikh and Dr. Silva stayed in communication directly with each other over the following weeks. I didn't have to coordinate anything--they handled it all. Once Dr. Silva confirmed my retina had healed, Dr. Parikh rescheduled my procedure. To me, that's what separates a great doctor from a good one. Dr. Parikh wasn't focused on getting me into surgery as quickly as possible--he was focused on doing what was best for me. He even made himself personally available by text throughout the process, which gave me a tremendous amount of confidence. The entire staff at Furlong Vision was outstanding from start to finish--friendly, professional, and incredibly organized--but Dr. Parikh's level of care genuinely went above and beyond. I couldn't recommend Furlong Vision more highly. If you're considering vision correction, you'll be in excellent hands.

Due to work, I have to stare at my computer for over 8hours daily. Every time I do sports or go traveling, I'm so grateful that I did the surgery. Thanks, Dr. Manche. Looking back, the process was straightforward, communication was clear. If you're reading this comment, probably you want to do the surgery but can't decide where to go. Let me tell you my story. My coworker did the same surgery at the same time with a different doctor, this doctor's commercial is everywhere, even on the radio, he also has high review on Yelp. They quoted my coworker almost $2000 cheaper. But the surgery result was very different. My coworker suffered a lot after the surgery, way more pain and red eye, when I have recovered she was still following up with the doctor because left and right eye visions were different. I've verified this with my doctors office. Upon receiving the referral, PAMF called me to say they saw the referral and would have me meet with a doctor here. I discovered upon check-in (several weeks later) that the doctor I'm waiting to see (it's already half an hour past my appointment start time and no one has even brought me into the appointment room) is an optometrist. The receptionist told me that PAMF doesn't let patients meet with ophthalmologists unless they're having surgery. I'm incredibly frustrated at the misleading appointment booking practices and the long wait as well. I took the afternoon off of work to come here and it's clear that not only do appointments not start anywhere near on time, but that the entire 1.5 hours I'm supposed to spend here once I'm seen is going to be a waste of both a lot of my time, and some unknown amount of money. I don't like getting my eyes poked and dilated for no reason and losing valuable vacation time to boot. It's incredibly dishonest for PAMF to book revenue for a visit that is literally not what the doctor ordered. The bait and switch attempt should require patient approval. If you've also been referred here for specialty care, beware and keep looking.
