I…read morehave some dental anxiety due to some dental work I had a few years ago, and he has always been so good to work with me and to make sure that while I am in the chair that I am doing ok. His assistants are always so sweet and the ladies at reception are so efficient as well. I love that after just a couple visits, they knew who I was when I got there and they would just verify the info with me, let them know I was there, and within a few minutes someone would come out to get me. Dr. Schvaneveldt is so fun and such a jokester and I enjoy that I feel like I can joke around with him and that he doesn't feel that he has to be so buttoned up all the time. I believe that bedside manner is so important when you are picking someone for your care team and I am so glad that I picked Ridgeview when I was looking for someone that would take my insurance because Dr. Schvaneveldt is one of the most fun and caring dentists I have been to. ***As a side note...I read through all the previous reviews and I can't imagine Dr. Schvaneveldt EVER being the way some of the people that left 1-star reviews say he was. I would HIGHLY recommend instead of taking their word (or mine for that matter) you give him a try for yourself. From the first shot my entire body was in distress. Of course I knew I would experience pain but this was outrageous. He was aggressive and I was showing extreme distress pulling my legs up off the chair and turning my face. He continued and did not stop even though I was bawling my eyes out. I went into fight or flight, freeze . I froze and was scared to death. I'm not one to not speak my mind but my mind and body went into trama mode. He never once showed any concern or asked if I was ok! Any dr. I've ever seen has stopped or showed comfort when in the slightest pain! I feel like he could care less about me as a human. After slamming the forth shot into me I finally found the courage to say I need a break! I told him whatever it took to get out of there! I felt I was not safe. He was irritated and short with me. I said I would reschedule knowing I would not. I left there shaking and could not see through tears and make up. I pulled out of the parking lot and parked across the street and called my daughter while shaking. My body trembled for four hours after and I was tramatized for weeks. Being rude and dismissive of patients pain and concerns is against his code of ethics and I'm sure he learned this in school but seems to not give a shit!!!!I my opinion only but I believe this guy is very mentally disturbed I finally found a loving caring dentist that started my process with the upmost care and professionalism. But after the visit, they told us they are out-of-network and it is our responsibility to make sure whether they are in/out of network. Just a very basic exam, even after insurance, we are still charged over 50 bucks. Think twice before your visit.

When I brought this up and told them that I could just come back another day, they said no worries and that it wouldn't take long at all. They said this for my benefit, because it actually ended up being a long procedure because they had to extract the tooth because the infection was really bad. The entire time they made me feel relaxed and they really took good care of me. I can't thank them enough. 5/5 stars easy! :)

Thats all fine and well but they have take 7 weeks so far (still haven't received my retainers) and my teeth have moved significantly. Every time I call the office to ask about the status of my retainers they say they'll get back to me and take another week or so to respond. I'm curious what they'll do when I get the retainers and they don't fit at all. Terrible experience. I have spent 6+ years getting my teeth straight and they messed it up within 7 weeks. Will not be coming back.

The best part of this office, besides of being very professional, is no waiting time. I have grown accustomed to waiting for an hour when visiting a doctor, but at Platinum, they take you right in if you come a few minutes early. Finally, no long waiting time! Dr. Bills genuinely cares about his patients, ranging all ages. He helps you to find the best treatment plan, considering the effectiveness and cost at the same time. He is very friendly and fun, a great quality if we bring the little one. Over all, I am very happy that we found Dr. Bills. I am sure Dr. Gardener is wonderful too, but so far we have primarily worked with Dr. Bills. As for the facility itself, the office is spacious and bright, which gives a pleasant feel and less stressful. It doesn't have those overhead TVs or children's play area like some dentists have, but that's not really in our evaluation matrix at all. The place looks more grown up and help our kids to feel proud that they are seeing a real grown-up dentist.

I have had dentists in the past who always seemed to be wanting to sell me something. At Logan Smiles they tell you what is really going on and don't try to push additional services. I can feel confident if they tell me something is wrong then it is really wrong and not just a sales ploy. I also think the teeth cleanings are very well done and pain free. Also, they seem to keep up with the latest trends in dentistry which I appreciate. I had just read about the lead apron now being found to cause more harm then good. And lo and behold when I had my xray they did not use the apron. Overall a great dentist and the first one I have used that I feel entirely comfortable with.
