In the middle of drilling a helper walked up and said "room 2 is ready for you" he stopped drilling went in and saw another patient and then came back to finish with me. He was hurrying and was very rough in my mouth upon returning. He had me sitting upright before I could to tell him the filling needed polishing. He did polish it after being told. He called the next day to check on me and I told him I was frustrated he left in the middle of my filling. He said it was to give my jaw a break. When I said I thought it was unprofessional he then said "I was dealing with an emergency" I do not believe that and told him that. He then said " well maybe Aspen dental is not a good fit for you if you don't like us leaving in the middle of procedures to see other patients. He is correct about that. I will never go back.

I've been to this office MULTIPLE times for dental work, and Dr. Schvaneveldt has been the best! I…read morehave some dental anxiety due to some dental work I had a few years ago, and he has always been so good to work with me and to make sure that while I am in the chair that I am doing ok. His assistants are always so sweet and the ladies at reception are so efficient as well. I love that after just a couple visits, they knew who I was when I got there and they would just verify the info with me, let them know I was there, and within a few minutes someone would come out to get me. Dr. Schvaneveldt is so fun and such a jokester and I enjoy that I feel like I can joke around with him and that he doesn't feel that he has to be so buttoned up all the time. I believe that bedside manner is so important when you are picking someone for your care team and I am so glad that I picked Ridgeview when I was looking for someone that would take my insurance because Dr. Schvaneveldt is one of the most fun and caring dentists I have been to. ***As a side note...I read through all the previous reviews and I can't imagine Dr. Schvaneveldt EVER being the way some of the people that left 1-star reviews say he was. I would HIGHLY recommend instead of taking their word (or mine for that matter) you give him a try for yourself. I know that you are here to check out the reviews to see what other people think, so I just wanted to throw out there that the high reviews seem to be real people and the low reviews seem more like bots to me...my apologies if you are actually real people. You just have described things that I can never see Dr Schvaneveldt doing and I want to make sure that people looking for reviews know the true demeanor he has so that they are not lead away from a truly great dentist by negative reviews that seem to be falsified.***

I would never ever recommend this dentist to anyone. Went for a full extraction. He never said…read morehello. He started my shots with no numbing prior. From the first shot my entire body was in distress. Of course I knew I would experience pain but this was outrageous. He was aggressive and I was showing extreme distress pulling my legs up off the chair and turning my face. He continued and did not stop even though I was bawling my eyes out. I went into fight or flight, freeze . I froze and was scared to death. I'm not one to not speak my mind but my mind and body went into trama mode. He never once showed any concern or asked if I was ok! Any dr. I've ever seen has stopped or showed comfort when in the slightest pain! I feel like he could care less about me as a human. After slamming the forth shot into me I finally found the courage to say I need a break! I told him whatever it took to get out of there! I felt I was not safe. He was irritated and short with me. I said I would reschedule knowing I would not. I left there shaking and could not see through tears and make up. I pulled out of the parking lot and parked across the street and called my daughter while shaking. My body trembled for four hours after and I was tramatized for weeks. Being rude and dismissive of patients pain and concerns is against his code of ethics and I'm sure he learned this in school but seems to not give a shit!!!!I my opinion only but I believe this guy is very mentally disturbed I finally found a loving caring dentist that started my process with the upmost care and professionalism. P.s. I feel this guy is an arrogant sadist. Go see Dr. Peery instead! The best guy ever! Thanks for saving me!

I went to Celeste for a gold crown about 10 years ago, she must have just been starting out and was in another practice with an older dentist, so this must have been some of her earliest work. This crown is absolutely beautiful. It's a work of art. It has been perfect for the better part of a decade that I've had it; perfectly aligned to the tooth, positioned well, prepared well. It has never hurt, never had puffy gums around it, and I usually forget it's there until I actually see it. I literally get compliments on this particular crown every time I visit other dentists. (I have moved and her practice is out of my insurance network, otherwise I'd still be seeing her) From what I remember of our appointment she was kind, and took the time to answer my questions and explain the process to me. Celeste's attention to detail is phenomenal. And it didn't hurt. All these years later I remember Celeste was blessed with tiny hands, which doesn't necessarily make or break a dentist, but it sure helps! She's the best dentist in Cache Valley, and I would refer her to anyone I know with ironclad confidence.

This is ultimately a reflection on the whole office. I had an appointment I waited 6 months for (a cavity to fill) and as the appointment drew closer, they were checking to see if I had the same insurance. I did not. I told them specifically that I had NO INSURANCE and wanted to know the cost if paid by cash. They sent me a "plan" which I was told I had to sign. When I arrived at the appointment on Tuesday, August 6th, the charge was over $100.00 more. When I told them I was disappointed that the charge was so much more, I am unemployed and had budgeted for the original (signed contract) amount, they hummed and hawed and said, " Oh our rates have increased and sometimes the system doesn't catch it". Wrong. Just wrong. I got the contract less than 7 days prior, and that contract should have been honored. I can't do business with this sloppy bookkeeping.
