Amazing from start to finish!!! Well my baby boy came and it was a emergency. Dr Langford was there right when I needed him. His heart rate had dropped dangerously low. Dr langford looked at me said we need to get him out and push!!!!!! Noah was born at 3:15 in the morning and was simply perfect! Needless to say he was a wonderful doctor when I needed him! read more

Although I had heard good things about this dr from a friend after having met the office staff, I became concerned. They are disorganized and very rude. When you ask for an explanation about anything, they are huffy and only offer uninformed excuses. You get an immediate sense of being a nuisance to them. The office manager is the dr's wife. When I spoke with her about a couple administrative concerns she raised her voice to the point that I had to pull the phone away from my ear. Before I could even discuss the issues with her, she cut me off, said she "doesn't care to hear about the scheduling errors" and said that if I didn't like it, I could go somewhere else. I've NEVER had an experience like this! I am just grateful that it happened early on. UPDATE: I went with Dr. Kohatsu in Rancho Bernardo and had an OUTSTANDING experience! If you're lucky enough that she is taking new patients, I highly recommend her and so do my friends who used her for all their pregnancies and ongoing checkups. read more

We were so fortunate to be referred to Dr. Langford from family and friends in the area. He provided incredible care to us during our pregnancy. Dr. Langford was beyond thorough during appointments, explaining everything and giving great advice. Also, he took time each appointment to listen - he would ask us what questions we had and put our minds at ease various times. His office staff was also pleasant to interact with. We were glad for his expertise and calm demeanor during our stay at the hospital for our daughter's birth. He was attentive after hours and again thoroughly explained how he thought the delivery would go. He communicated well with the staff at Palomar even when there was a slight change to plans. We are glad to have a healthy baby girl, and can't thank him enough! read more

I've been a patient of Dr Langford's since moving to Temecula in 2003. I'd had a previous high-risk pregnancy and since we planned to have more kids, I figured I'd better be prepared with a doctor who could handle it. Dr Langford's office is located directly across Valley Parkway from Palomar Hospital, which is a good thing, because he is a solo practitioner who rarely misses deliveries OR routine appointments. I'm not quite sure how he does it. I suspect a big part of it is attempting to manage/schedule deliveries, but there isn't pressure if that's not the route you choose to take. I had natural childbirth (i.e. no pain meds, vaginal delivery) and he was supportive of that. I gather from talking to the nurses that to deliver at Palomar without an epidural is extremely rare. (They brought in nursing students to show them an example of "a woman in natural labor.") Dr Langford's demeanor can be summed up in a word: UNFLAPPABLE. He is utterly calm no matter what is going on. He also does not like to cut corners, which is a good thing when you're dealing with matters that can be life & death. I had a situation during our daughter's birth when a small emergency arose, and the nurses later told me that when they prepare a cart for Dr Langford, he insists they add several extra items, and it was something from that tray that saved the day. (I began bleeding a lot and he had a shot of something handy that he could stick me with to stop the bleeding right away, rather than having to call down and have it sent up from the pharmacy.) The nurses and other staff at Palomar REVERE Dr Langford. Mention his name and they jump to do whatever needs to be done. I don't get the impression that they're scared of him...more like they really respect him. He is not super "huggy" or emotional, so know that going in. I find him kind and compassionate, but it's delivered in a very dry, straight manner. This office does not accept credit cards so come prepared with your copay. I am now an infrequent visitor to this office (luckily!) - mostly just annual exams; our youngest child is now 4 years old. I've had a few instances of UTIs and been seen right away on an emergency basis. Conveniently located for all labs. Refers to Valley Radiology (in same building) for mammography and other xrays and refers to blood labs with offices throughout the area. (I can have blood drawn in Temecula, where I live, if I prefer.) Has all kinds of high tech equipment in his office so you don't need to be sent out for things during pregnancy (e.g. he can do most screenings, ultrasounds, etc including the 20 week "big" ultrasound himself in the office.) Very conservative on referring "just in case" and for age-based recommendations. Always errs on the side of caution (i.e. if you're not sure, do the test). Referred me to mammogram at age 36 because knew I was trying to have a baby and wanted to get a baseline test in before I was potentially pregnant or nursing. read more

Dr. Langford and his office staff are wonderful. I highly recommend this Dr. and office. I have never had to wait and they are so kind and professional. I had a baby last year and had a bad experience with North County Women's Specialists. I am so thankful I found Dr. Langford this time around. He explains everything in detail at my appointments. I love having an ultrasound every time and the rooms are big! read more

We were referred to Dr. Langford by some friends. All of my babies were delivered by him at Pomerado Hospital (a great hospital, by the way). Dr. Langford takes his time and definitely has a "better to be safe than sorry" philosophy. Out of 3 pregnancies, he was rarely late for a prenatal visit and I had, maybe 2 appts rescheduled. I always felt like I was the only patient in his office, never rushed or hurried like I was just another number. I felt as if I were family. It also was nice that his office was furnished with the latest technology (4D ultrasound!). Last year, I decided to end my baby making days. Dr. Langford performed the tubal and all went very well. I still plan on seeing him for my annual check up. He's a great doctor and his staff have always been kind and helpful. I completely recommend Dr. Greg Langford. read more

People please do not go here!!! All they care is your moneyyyy!!!! They overcharged me and made many excuses for not refunding it. Very rude and unprofessional service. The Dr seem to be nice enough but you dont really get much care and advice from him, you just come and go for a brief ultrasound, That's it! Im going to switch out at my 22 weeks. I feel so uncomfortable dealing with the front desk and the Dr's wife every time i come and go and many more....Im done! read more

Asked a nurse friend who works in the labor and delivery dept of palomar who she would recommend for an OBGYN. She stated that she recommends Dr. langford to everyone including her own daughter who has had two babies under his care. I do have to admit that anyone having their first baby can be a little taken back with the pay schedule. However, this is the norm. Basically if you are going to have to pay $600 out of pocket for his services (from start to finish). They divide up that amount by 6 and require you to make six equal payments at each visit. So you basically would be paying $100 at each visit which are a month apart until you get to around 25 weeks. I actually appreciated this because after my six month I no longer had to pay anything and could just worry about the hospital bill after my baby was born. I want to note, the reason they do this is because people have been known to use a dr.'s services up until near their delivery and then go to someone else who is cheaper in order to avoid having to pay the higher delivery fee. Therefore this is what good L&D doctors have had to start doing in order to ensure they get paid for their time and expertise for the pregnancy check ups (leading up to delivery). I had nothing but great experiences from the whole staff and would recommend him to anyone. After reading the negative reviews, my guess is that people didn't want to pay what was required of them. read more

I came here after a horrible obgyn experience in Murrieta. I instantly felt at ease with the office upon walking in. The front desk ladies knew who I was upon walking in. They were quick, sharp and to the point. Meeting Dr Langford was a god send. He is very calming and put my mind at ease when I'm normally an uptight and high strung person. Doing my hysterectomy with Dr Langford was a great, although traumatic experience for what it was. Every question I had, answered. Every care and concern, dealt with. With compassion and thoughtfulness. I don't care that I drive from Temecula to see him. I have found my OBGYN. read more

I ended up in Dr Langford's office for an emergency ovary surgery over a decade ago, and have stuck with him ever since. He delivered my first baby in early 2015 and I intend to stick with him for my next. My favorite thing about him is that I felt that he listened to exactly what I wanted in the delivery room. After 2.5 hours of pushing, he (understandably) was ready to use the vacuum. This made me a little nervous, and I asked Dr Langford if I could have a little more time. He gave me just that, and we got my baby boy out without the help of a machine. I was exhausted, I had too many family members in the delivery room, and in the middle of all the commotion, I only had to make my request once, and he did exactly as I asked. I am very appreciative of that. I called Dr. Langford's emergency/middle of the night hotline twice at the end of my pregnancy, once with a concern about bleeding, the other time was on the way to the hospital. Both times he called me back immediately, and was very thorough in his advice. I feel that Dr Langford really took the time to explain things to me during each office visit, and he answered every question I had, no matter how silly it may have seemed. I never felt rushed or shorted on time. He also has ultrasound/3D ultrasound equipment in his office, so you get an ultrasound for each pregnancy visit. I have always had positive experiences with his office staff, and I didn't have any trouble when I made an insurance switch right at the end of my last pregnancy. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Langford to anyone. read more

My wife and I were with Dr Langford for the first 5 months of her pregnancy. We both were very impressed by Dr Langford's bedside manner, his skill set with the ultrasound machine and his soft spoken/highly professional abilities treating OB patients. We wound up changing insurance due to work and then ultimately decided to deliver at home. read more

My mother went in to the doctor's office because he was one of the nearby gynecologist who accepted her insurance. She went in for a vaginal prolapse she had many years ago that got worse over time. Dr. Langford took me by appointment and seemed to be in a hurry every time I visited, like he was overworked, even though the office was always empty. He preformed the surgery, which was said to last for 5 years. Right before she was operated on, right after being given the drugs and preparations, and she was even in the operating room, he asked if she wanted to cancel. She was weird out by that, since that is the last thing you want to hear after already paying thousands of dollars (with the insurance paying over $50,000 of it). It was only a one hour surgery, nothing really drastic. I, myself, was waiting in the hospital the entire day, since they told me not to leave until they tell me otherwise. Then about 8 hours later, the nurse comes to me and tells me the doctor was supposed to tell me to leave, since they wanted to keep my mom overnight. SO, the doctor didn't even bother to walk a few steps out to tell me they wanted her to stay the whole night! Then the next day, I asked how the surgery was to my mom. She said Landford told her "It was a complete success." I was glad, for at least she was able to work again, after about a month of recovery. Then that is when things starting to get awful. For about a week, she complained about a feeling like she was being stabbed inside. When she goes to visit Landford's office, we find out the nurse left a blood-dried bandage inside of her, and it was cutting into her. Then, when she actually started to work, she would constantly bleed every once in a while, like nothing even changed (since that was the main problem with vaginal prolapse: occasional bleeding after menopause). She kept asking Langford if that is supposed to happen and he told her "Yes, still bleeding is normal." That doesn't sound right at all, since why the hell did we pay that much if it's still going to happen? Well, it turns out, the operation didn't even do anything! She went to see her personal doctor, one who is an expert and has been her doctor ever since her first child, and he tells her that there is no reason to bleed if the operation was a success and she has her prolapse the same way as before with nothing fixed! So, in turn, Langford lied to her. I've seen other people complain about payments and the staff and other things, and all I can conclude is that this doctor is a quack. We wasted thousands of dollars and a whole month of being out of work, just for nothing. If you are going to get a check up, Langford is okay to tell you if there is a problem. But to actually fix the problem, he is the LAST person to go to. Avoid him for surgery at all cost. And especially, avoid Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. That place is a death trap and the worst hospital I've ever seen. read more

I had been a 7+ year patient of Dr. Langford, called today to make a very overdue appointment and was told I had been dropped as a patient! I was put on hold and then told by someone in his accounting area that I had been dropped because of a $12 unpaid charge that I never knew about. We pay our bills, and I have never been treated this way in all of my 50+ years. I found his office staff to be very kurt and to have an "oh well, we can't help you" attitude. I intend to send a check for the unpaid $12 and then to request all of my records. I am extremely disappointed in such unprofessional treatment, and I would never advise anyone else to seek treatment with Dr. Langford. read more

I was under Dr. Langford's prenatal care for almost 7 months. At first I thought Dr. Langford seemed nice . But After making my first trip to the Emergency room , because I was experiencing pain in the beginning of my pregnancy he got very upset and told me that if I was going to continue to go to the ER then to look for a different Dr. Which I found very surprising . Wouldn't you want your patient to go to the ER if it was after hours to make sure the mother and baby are okay? I decided to give it another try and I continued my prenatal care. A couple times I called Dr Langford to tell him that I was experiencing pain and he would tell me to get off my feet and rest. Other times when I would call him to ask questions he made me feel like I was dumb and that everything that I was experiencing was absolutely normal. Today I made a call because Ive been experiencing joint and ankle pain and I wanted to know what is safe to take or apply during pregnancy. Dr Langford called me and began telling me if I was taking my iron and I was clueless about what he was talking about and I was like no I'm not taking iron I'm taking my prenatal pills and he kept telling me "if you don't take your iron pills you can go look for another Dr. " my response was I was never told to take iron pills. He kept telling me that I was iron deficiency and I needed iron pills and I told him that He had never told Me i was low on iron . I explained to him how I went into lab corp yesterday to take my glucose test and get blood drawn . He answered with I just pulled up your lab results and they say you are low on iron . At that point , I was very upset at the way he had treated me. He had never told me to take iron pills nor did he tell me I was iron deficiency until I called him today to ask what kind of medication I can take for joint pain. Overall my experience there wasn't the greatest. He made me feel like I couldn't ask any questions . He seems to be in the wrong field if he's going to be treating his patients so poorly. As a Dr. You are there to answer any questions they may have whether they seem dumb to you or not! You are there to educate the patient and treat them fairly and with respect! I'm 7 months and I switched my prenatal care with a different Dr. I will NOT go back there again. read more

I've seen Dr.langford once and my overall experience was ok all he did was take out the Iud I had and told me to wait before getting on birth control again pretty routine nothing special. Well yesterday I called to make an apt with an ob after being seen at the emergency to discuss my condition and get it treated well to my surprise I was dismissed from the practice because apparently I didn't fully pay my co pay of $25 I only paid $5 when I asked how was that possible I was told I don't know but we tried to contact you ... first I didn't get any contact information secondly I remember saying on that visit a year ago are you sure I thought it was more and I was told no it's $5 ... today after talking with the office they said they would let me come back if I take care of the bill in cash so I'm thinking to my self ok no biggie than I would also have to pay a reinstatement fee of $40 in cash too now I'm like ok first of all it wasn't my fault the office charged me wrong and than not notify me so I'm a little hesitant now and than I give them my update information for insurance and they tell me they would charge me and than bill my insurance and than reimburse me back the difference after she gave me a rough estimate of what I had to pay out of pocket this did not make me feel comfortable at all it made me feel like they just was the $$ not really caring as to what's going on so I will not be coming back to this office again I rather be treated like a patient/person not a transaction read more

I am on my 4th baby with Dr Langford and have had nothing but great experiences. I read some other reviews and am surprised by what others have said. I have never had a problem with the office ladies either. Which makes me think there is a little more to the story. They have always been very nice and helpful. My insurance covered everything and I've only ever had to pay my co-pays.his fee may be higher than most OBS but he does an ultra sound everytime. Most OBS only do one on your first visit and then send you somewhere else for your 20 week anatomical scan. Dr Langford is an excellent doctor. He is very attentive to your needs. He does an ultra sound every time you visit so you can see the baby and really know everything is going well or not. If there is something that he can't see in an ultra sound he sends you to the perinatologist just to get it checked out. I love this because I tend to be a worry wart and like that he checks everything out. He even does the 4D ultra sounds and gives you the pictures. His demeanor is always very calm and even though it's my 4th pregnancy with him as my doctor he makes sure that he goes over everything with me and makes sure I don't have any questions. He doesn't have one foot out the door while your talking to him like many other doctors. If you ever call his answering service after hours for something HE personally calls you back within minutes. With my first one I was having really bad pains. I was only 20 weeks so he told me to go to the ER and he met me there himself (not during his rounds, in his street clothes on a Saturday morning). Usually you get the luck of the draw of the dr who is at the hospital if you go in randomly like that. I purposely drive from Murrieta to Escondido every time I'm pregnant just so I can have him. I've had to have c sections and my recovery was so easy, no pain and very minimal scarring. read more

Doctor Langford delivered both of my babies. He takes his time during appointments. Explains things clearly and is kind. I feel very comfortable with him. They greet me by my first name when I come into the office, even after a 2 year absence. They ask about my children. They smile, engage and were very helpful when my insurance changed. They always call back the same day if I leave a message. I even had an overdue $20 bill that was left unpaid for months, it was no problem and was never sent to collections. I can't even put into words how grateful I am for Dr. Langford. I was recently pregnant for the first time and very naive. At just 6 weeks, before I even had my first appointment with Dr. Langford, I started to bleed. I was panicked and worried and extremely sad. His 24 hour operating system was such a massive help as I ended up having a missed miscarriage and eventual uterine infection that resulted in surgery. It was a very fast and scary process packed with a ton of difficult emotions as a first time mom-to-be. Dr. Langford and his entire staff was INCREDIBLE. They were kind, understanding and so supportive through the process. One morning when I called before office hours and was apologizing, he stopped me and said you can call anytime. We are all in this together. That meant the world to me as I was struggling to understand what was happening and why it was happening to us. I can't say enough about what a fantastic doctor Dr. Langford is and how compassionate his entire staff is. I highly HIGHLY recommend him. read more

Dr. Langford delivered my first child, and I have gone to him for my second pregnancy as well. I LOVE this man. While his demeanor is very serious and no nonsense, he is THE person I want there to make the critical decisions for me and my baby. As a previous reviewer said, he is UNFLAPPABLE. I trust him implicitly! If you are looking for an OB that acts like your best friend, keep looking. But if you want an OB that is professional and focused on keeping you and your baby healthy, then this is your doctor. One major perk is that they have in-office ultrasounds and you get an ultrasound at EVERY visit. Another major perk is that he will personally get out of bed and come deliver your baby in the middle of the night. No dealing with on-call hospital doctors - Dr. L personally delivers every baby. He also personally returns your after hours phone calls for those scary "I think I'm in labor" or "my baby isn't moving" moments. Try finding that with any other group! I have had no issues with his staff. They are very professional. I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes for office visits. I am being forced to change insurance companies and will have to leave Dr. L for the remainder of my pregnancy. I am quite distraught - he really is that good. read more

Dr. Langford was a great doctor. Very attentive, quick to respond to questions and returning phone calls. His office staff on the other hand... I have NEVER gone toe to toe with a billing rep before this office. I delivered my baby September 10th. My husband lost his job in August and we lost our insurance September 1st. We were going to elect COBRA for continued coverage. I had asked Gail not to bill until we were certain we had COBRA. Losing our insurance on the first and delivering on the 10th, we hadn't even received the election papers. She billed my insurance the day I delivered, then because she did global billing (which I had specifically asked her to wait on), my insurance didn't pay anything. They sent me a bill (to the wrong address. I had moved from that house in march and had updated my info with them several times) for over 1,400. When I spoke with them the next time, they had asked me if I had received the bill. I told them NO, and once again gave them my current address. THEY SENT ME ONE BILL THEN SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS. When I started looking into it, I found that they had infact not billed my insurance for any of the office visits, but used my deductible to pay for them. When I spoke with Gail and informed her of her incorrect billing, it was my fault. I requested since they will be billing my insurance and the amount will be different, they bring my account back to their office. She told me she doesn't know how that works, that my account has already left their office, and she will call the creditor and place my account on hold. So now, because of her screw up, I now have an incorrect bill on my credit that they absolutely refuse to even give me a chance to pay on. I will NEVER go back to that office. And I will fight to have this removed from my credit immediately. read more

Dr. Langford is nice person very calm but unhelpful. He delivered all three of our children and was paid by our insurance. However Gail his wife who works in the office is incompetent in billing was uncooperative and hostile, confrontational and inflexible to do her job right. My wife called and corrected the problem so they could be paid the extra $200 dollars for circumcision for my son last child born. All she had to do is resubmit to insurance as we were covered. She did not and was not paid. We assumed it was taken care of because my wife did all the legwork. Not only was it not taken care of Gail lied and documented that we refused to pay and had my wife banned for non payment. When we found out we offered to pay but were not allowed to re visit the office as she is banned forever and Dr. Langford will not make an exception to his policy do not go here as the staff and apparently only care about your money. Customer service is the worst I have ever seen and do not recommend for anyone. read more

I've seen him a few times. He was recommended by a friend and I thought he was very nice initially. I felt comfortable and he was very thorough with my visits but I made a phone call out to him for a specific issue and he made me feel stupid for asking the question when he returned my call. From that point, I stopped seeing him. I was calling him for a concern and he didn't seem to care. There are other caring docs out there. read more

This doctor was more concerned about me gaining weight then my baby's weight or ultrasound diagnostics. He went on leave the month before I was due only offering a call line. Immediately he induced me upon return only to give birth to a baby who could not breathe and has major genetic physical abnormalities(cleft palette and micrognathia/small jaw) that are life long. This is usually detected on ultra sound. My child was born under 5 lbs full term and a hospital ultrasound nurse knew she was underweight and I questioned her because I trusted my doctor. Do not trust him with your fetus' health. He tried to force me to sign paperwork in labor after showing up late (my delivery had to be postponed by more meds) because he wanted to cover his ass. I refused because I had followed all medical recommendations. Don't let this be your story! My daughter has CP and generic abnormalities for life that require nursing, feeding tube and many surgeries. Having the equipment needed (ventilator for small infant) for her birth and information on what was to come would have positively impacted our ability to care for her and deal with the situation. read more

Well, I can only say that Dr. Gregory Langford has been my OBGYN for 25 years. He has been outstanding and delivered all three of my son's. He has always taken time to answer any of my concerns through the years and an interest in my well being as his patient. I feel very confident being under his care. The staff has always been very personable and kind. I commute from Temecula for my appointments and it is well worth the trip. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Langford was horrible. I am 7 weeks into my pregnancy with high blood pressure. Due to my complications I was put out for work, I am an RN at an ER. While trying to get all my paperwork together for my job the office staff was unprofessional and inconsiderate. After a week of calling the staff I was constantly treated horribly and nothing was ever done. Friday evening I receive a call from Dr. Langford and he begins yelling at me! Whenever I tried to get a word in he would say "No, you let me finish." He aggressively asked me if I was "Calling him a liar" or his "Staff a liar" ( which conveniently happens to be his wife). I expressed to him my concern of my high blood pressure and how the situation wasn't making things better and he made me feel so dumb and said "Maybe it's time I look for another doctor." . This man was suppose to deliver my child. Overall he seems to keep his composure until you have a concern of your pregnancy or issue with his staff. Then he just looses it. Being an RN I have never encountered such unprofessionalism from a doctor. read more

This is my 3rd baby, first one with Dr Langford. He has thoroughly answered all of my questions and makes me feel like he is really listening to me. At about 31 weeks I came down with the flu. Dr. Langford is competent no doubt but I had trouble with some of his comments that seemed rather curt and even snide. I gave him a pass on that, thinking it was a difference in personality or sense of humor. I know doctors are busy and often you don't have the questions until after you leave the office, so I always wait to get the formal report to dig in and really understand. The report I received was so fully of typos (no doubt a text to voice issue) that it took me a couple of hours to find information online that allowed me to guess at what the report should have said. I asked him to get it checked and send me a corrected version. He refused. Not going back, that's for sure.
