We bought our hot tub brand new and spent almost $20,000 on it. Had a couple issues that were covered by warranty but this last time we were charged $967.00. Called and talked to receptionist, said I could call someone local she said no, we come out that far just for you. They called and tried to troubleshoot over phone, didn't work. Kept telling them jets/pump 3 wasn't working. All people I talked on phone to said it would be a service call fee but no one mentioned that the fee would be $764 and fuel fee of $170 oh and $32 credit card fee. Running a business myself, I would of clarified that you might be looking at a $1000 bill. Even last time they called to see if "trouble shooting" worked, I mentioned i can call someone local, they just kept saying no, don't worry about it. I asked this at least 3 times over the 4-5 phone calls. The problem with tub, fuse. No trouble shooting for that. Talked to manager after i get invoice, he states "I tried to save you money by trouble shooting, told you you'd have to pay service call".So unbelievably disappointed. All you had to say it will be close to $1000 and I would of hired someone else. Not to mentioned that I thought you'd take care of customers who spent a considerable amount of money with you. The guy who fixed it though, thought maybe pump when he got here. Then stated they didn't send one with him. So, you have a service call all that way and you don't send parts that might be the issue, only jets? Thank God that wasn't the issue otherwise my invoice would be over $2000. Side note, spent extra money when purchasing tub on spa boy that has NEVER worked. Asked everytime they came out, never was able to fix that awesome feature I was upsold on. Can't be honest, upfront or take responsibility for the product they sell. So unbelievably angry!

We had a conversion from Propane to Gas (the City of Walker has since this past fall 2020 supplied…read moregas to the area) and we contacted Dick's to complete this conversion. We already had an existing HVAC system so the conversion shouldn't have been super complicated. The service took 2 days of visits as a "part" needed for the conversion was missing. I mean, if you guys are experts in this, shouldn't you come prepared with these "parts"? The time it took to get the necessary parts needed for this conversion, it was added to the overall costs (as they charge by the hour). So even though the technician (forgot his name, but overall very cordial and polite) provided quality service in terms of the conversion (despite the hiccups), I still believe we were overcharged. Take note if you plan on using them for the gas conversion: GET YOUR QUOTE UPFRONT!!! We paid $700 dollars for something that a family friend who is a tech down in the Twin Cities quoted as costing normally no more than $300 range. To boot, my brother who lives right down the street on Walker Bay Blvd. also had his conversions (2 of them!) done by a local technician; and was charged less than $400.00! So we were ripped off. To boot, once we received the bill in the mail, we had to dispute and contest the time they noted (we have Blink cameras; so it's easy to know times/arrivals/departures); and they lowered the bill by a mere $100. So very dishonest in my opinion to tack on extra time just to bilk customers. Shame on Dick's!

Called for a plumber to help open up my cabin and get the deep well primed and working, they were…read morevery friendly and had great rates compared to others, only one other company had the same hourly rate, others were high I thought. The only issue was timing, they showed up about hour and half late, after I called saying tech was late they got right on it, but no worries, I was on lake time Got me up and going and the young man who helped couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. I'll be using them to close up and open again next year. Id recommend them. Tks Dicks P&H
