On our table was coffee, earl grey tea, brie and apple sandwiches, coronation chicken sandwiches, fruit scone, turkish delight scone (surprisingly epic, I just had to try it), carrot cake, chocolate fudge cake, for some reason- grapes, a bit of salad, crisps in a tea cup and a couple of little sweets. In addition they sell a selection of pies and pasties which you can have hot or cold and are 'homemade' (I think these days they have an industrial unit in the town but they aren't bought in) as well as soft drinks, crisps and confectionary.

We ordered some random bits and bobs from the deli and a chorizo hash which was recommended by the waiter. The deli food was ok but that's about it. One of the items was a 'meal' which consisted of the smallest amount of pork pie and some salad for about £9!! The chorizo hash (eventually) came and was incredibly oily with what can only be described as a deep fried egg on top. Probably wouldn't go back from this experience and wouldn't recommend to others really. Maybe it was just a bad experience due to numbers of customers. I understand that it was a busy Sunday and standards may slip and things may take a little longer, but really, this place should consider reducing the number of tables by 1 or 2. They are all very tasty and have plenty of filling. Personally I'd recommend the Cornish Pasty but only because it's easier to eat on the go. If you don't mind gravy dribbling down your chin then there's nothing wrong with any of the other pies. I haven't tried a sandwich or baked potato but from what I've seen they look very nice. I've tried a couple of the cakes which are generously sized and generally very nice, although I did once get a chocolate eclair that wasn't quite as fresh as it looked.
