Greggs on Bangor High Street is just like every other Greggs in the country. They sell reasonable if unspectacular baked goods, mainly takeout although there is a small counter and a few stools in case you don't want to eat on the move or the prevailing weather conditions in Bangor aren't conducive to al fresco dining.
On the two occasions I've been to this branch there was a limited choice and quite a bit of empty space on the hotplates, although admittedly one of those times was on a Bank Holiday and the second on a cold and wet Sunday morning. Both times you'd have had more chance of spotting another living human being in the wastelands of Antarctica than on Bangor High Street so I can understand why it wouldn't make sense from a commercial viewpoint to prepare vast quantities of pasties just on the off chance a polar explorer with a dodgy compass found his way to their door. I'm sure one day I'll get to visit on a normal trading day when they have their full range of goods on offer. read more
