However, for the quantitatively best pastry, look no further than this unassuming storefront in Rochester. Your eye will be caught by an array of delectables displayed in the window. And they taste every bit as good as they look - maybe more. We got three jam donuts, two jam pies (the lemon was best) and a few other items for under 5 pounds. Without a doubt the best pastries I've eaten in my life, and I've made it a point to eat quite a few. Eating jelly donuts at the top of Rochester Castle will always be one of my favorite memories.

This place is set along rochester high street, and is well worth a look in. I was pleasently surprised with the prices - it isn't as expensive as it looks. You can also grab some lunch there too as it sells sandwiches to go with all the nice unhealthy cakes. The staff are lovely and friendly. Just remember to order at the counter otherwise you may find yourself sitting there for a while!
