She prioritizes building a deep relationship with you and creating an intimate space of mutual understanding. At 33, my relationship with myself, my family and the world looks completely different than it did at 25. The very things that used to paralyze and stifle me have become the biggest areas of growth, development and opportunity in my life. Working with Eve has been central to this shift.

Eve is absolutely brilliant in her intuitiveness and her capacity to understand. Not only are our sessions enlightening, enjoyable, and poignant, but most of all they are empowering. Eve has helped me understand myself, step back and look at the facts around me. From the very first session, I felt seen, heard, and held in a space that was both protected and compassionate. Her presence is calm and accepting, while remaining strong and focused. What sets Eve apart is her intuitive ability to understand what lies beneath the surface. She asks the right questions--not just to gain insight, but to gently guide me toward my own understanding and growth. She listens without judgment, offer reflections that resonate deeply, and creates an environment where honesty and vulnerability feel not only possible, but are welcomed. Throughout our work together, I've gained not only clarity and coping tools, but also a renewed sense of self--more whole, more connected, and more resilient. Eve doesn't offer quick fixes; she walks with you through the work, encouraging you to show up for yourself with patience, grace, and courage. If you are looking for a therapist who brings both professional excellence and genuine human warmth, I cannot recommend Eve enough. She has truly helped me change the way I see myself, my story, and my capacity to heal.

I've been a patient of Dr. Barth for 6 weeks now and I cannot say how happy I am. Initially, I was…read moredepressed and had been taking sleeping pills (Zolpidem) for 2 years. After being on sleeping pills for so long, I decided to try CBT and I will admit, I didn't think it would work on me since we all tend to think negatively from time to time. I chose Dr. Barth based on reviews and decided to make the 90 mile drive to Oakland. After my second visit, we continued to meet via FaceTime which was a PLUS! For me, my insomnia and depression improved after approximately 3-4 weeks after my initial session with Dr. Barth. Prior to meeting him, I had been weaning off Zolpidem for a week. I am now able to fall asleep fairly fast and stay asleep for most of the night, drug-free!!! In the past, I would try to wean off on my own, or not take my pills but I had no success. I would fall asleep around 0300AM and wake up before 0600AM. The first few weeks were tough since part of the "program" requires you to go to bed at a certain time (or try), and wake up at the same time every day. The $ I spent on my therapy is worth the results! I am now back to doing my daily activities and sleeping about 50% better. This is the first time I seek treatment with a Psychologist, but overall, my experience with him has been a positive one in many ways. My therapy is coming to an end soon, but I feel confident that I will continue to progress and apply what I have learned during this process. If you find yourself desperate, or to the point that you are ready to start therapy for depression, insomnia or other issues you may be facing, do it with someone who has years of experience. Before choosing Dr. Barth, I googled many therapists who specialized in CBT. I searched for 4 months. I live in Modesto which is a fairly large city, and many therapists are in my area, but based on reviews or first impressions I got visiting other websites/reviews I decided that if I was going to spend my time and money on therapy, I wanted to put my trust on the best one out there. Like most of us, I didn't have the extra money to be spending visiting therapists that I felt may not be the best fit for me. I mean no disrespect to any professionals in this area, but in the times we live now, most of our costly purchases or investments we make, are based on reputation or reviews.

She will reflect on what she has learned about you, and with insight and great skill, make sense of your troubles. She does it with such compassion and effortlessness that a seasoned grandmother of a big family could learn from it! She is quite versatile; Jamie's therapeutic methods are very powerful and healing but she can also give down-to-earth, practical advise for "real life" situations. If you had a particularly tricky problem she can even recommend you to specialists because she is connected with other therapists. Her manners are warm and friendly, you feel like you are in good hands during your session. I have tried to go to therapy before but often it felt like I was having my teeth pulled without anesthetics. In contrast, Jamie makes you feel like you are having tea with a friend who cares about you a lot! Her office is clean and neat and is in a good part of town. She is fairly flexible to make appointments and asks for a reasonable fee well worth spending. After every session I came away with sighs of relief; Jamie's therapy will enable you to heal yourself and feel good about life.

My wife and I did couples counseling with Andres for a few years. Our relationship just got better and better over that time period. Andres was very good at helping us find and understand our core conflicts (the issues we just kept disagreeing over again and again) so that we could try strategies to reduce those friction points in our daily lives. He was also very good at noticing when we were talking past each other. He helped us see the other person's perspective on several issues where we were habitually misunderstanding each other. As should be the case with any good therapist, we eventually stopped seeing Andres because we were consistently managing our conflicts without him. We had several weeks where we had nothing to talk about except how well everything was going. That was a couple years ago and I would still say that my relationship with my wife just gets better and better. Thanks Andres!

tl:dr; I feel very comfortable recommending Therapist El-Bardai with the highest rating…read more Personable, helpful, intelligent, and reasonable. I have been to therapists a few times in my life. When my mom became ill, during a particularly bad relationship, when my mom passed. I have been lucky to have seen good people, but I did have a few bad experiences that made the good therapists stand out more. (Ask me about the therapist that told my mom that I was clearly a gang member. Me, the nerdy, foureyed blonde in the front of the Calculus class raising her hand...) So, here I am again, life has thrown a few curve balls my way and I realized I could use some help getting through this tough time. I did some research and called several numbers. I left a message for Therapist El-Bardai then called some others. The first one told me the initial charge was a larger number than the website. They said the high price for the first meeting was because the first time they had to get to know me. They were charging extra to talk to me? I mean... isn't that the point? I asked if I could come by and meet the therapist before hand, to be sure I got along with her. No, they said. There was a charge for the first meeting. The next two were very similar. They literally asked for my credit card number before I even had the name of the therapist I would see. The fourth one refused to answer any questions, as in at all, without payment information. I hung up and resigned myself to the reality that I wasn't going to be getting therapy. I had finally gotten up the strength to call for help, and instead of reaching out a hand, they reached for my wallet. I was already in such a low place feeling rejected, sad, alone, and that just shook me to my core. All I was was a dollar sign to them. Not a human. I don't care if my gynecologist asks how my day was, but therapy is about just that. Humanity. Then Robyn herself called. She is a small operation, not a huge patient mill like the other places appeared to be. She told me the first visit was complimentary so we could be sure we had a good personality fit and so I could be confident that she could help me. She cared. It was obvious. I have since been working with her for some time. My life has completely turned around, in no small part thanks to her guidance. She is obviously very knowledgeable and keeps herself abreast of current tools and research. She cares very much about her patients. She remembers what I have said previously and invests in my success. She's like a fantastic mother and sister all in one. A close friend, but one that lets you talk about yourself for an hour at a time! I now have a bag full of tools she has given me to work through the hard moments. And the hard moments are becoming fewer every day. I feel as if I am becoming the person I wanted to be, and surrounding myself with people that compliment that reality. Life will always have hard moments, but I'm better prepared to handle them. What you can expect: A safe and comfortable space. A thoughtful and caring therapist. A well educated therapist. Reasonable pricing. The tools you need to help you through whatever you are going through. Easy scheduling. A brighter future. And easy free parking, though it is a bit of a walk from the other side of Telegraph. Exercise will help, too! :)
