Despite interrupting him, expecting to be redirected, he attentively listened as I explained my skill level and preferences. Instead of pushing a sale, he presented me with several options, explaining the nuances of each instrument, spending no less than 30 min on the ins and outs and helping describe what I was going for. He could have easily pushed a 3k guitar on me and told me this will have me playing like Stevie Ray Vaughan in days. Instead he was patient and and showed me what I was looking for, I asked him to pretend he was buying for his brother "the one he likes" and show me the way. I ended up with a beautiful guitar and an amp that will grow with me, all thanks to his guidance. It was evident that he genuinely cared about ensuring I left with exactly what I wanted. Before checking out, the manager and other salespeople also made sure I had everything I needed, further enhancing my experience. What stood out most was the lack of pressure to buy. It was refreshing to be treated with such care and respect, especially in a retail environment. This fantastic experience, which began with Nathan, has made me a loyal Guitar Center customer.

I spent a couple hours visiting with Brian watching him working on this beautiful Les Paul updating the pickups and doing a special wiring with push-pulls. These guys know what their doing, NO BS just strait truth, no up selling or manipulation. I observed several visitors and everyone was treated with the highest customer service. If your looking for tubes, knobs, parts this place is well stocked. One guy was looking for an "Amp" guy and instead of trying to talk him into bringing it to them they referred him out. They work on amps but this situation called for a different approach. So if you're in the Dallas area and need help with your guitar, maybe like me and build my own but have questions and looking for sound honest input, maybe looking to buy a guitar or need lessons, look no further. Because the charges kept appearing, we eventually went back in person to cancel again. On top of that, the instructor who was supposedly teaching the lesson we were billed for wasn't even present. It's extremely frustrating to repeatedly request cancellation and still see charges appear on your card. At this point I am disputing the charges with my credit card company. If you sign up here, make sure you get written confirmation of any cancellation and monitor your statements closely.

DAMPA offers fair and honest pricing and an incredibly high level of quality instruction. Teachers are positive and inspiring and DAMPA offers a ladder system of achievement that provides kids with rewards for achieving their goals. If you live anywhere from Preston Hollow to Highland Park or anywhere in between, you really need to get your kid (or yourself) to DAMPA for music lessons!
