Omgosh, Greg is more than just a pretty face. I am a new customer with Greg, but a State Farm customer for 30+ years. My prior agent of fifteen years was in total retirement mode at 70 years old. Never had an issue until 7 months ago with this agent. After realizing he was just not into his job anymore (that's putting it nicely) I went with Greg because of his great reviews! Not to mention the baggage I came with!! Trust me- there is a reason why Greg Metelak has great reviews. Greg has been super patient with me, because I have had a chip on my shoulder from previous my agent and what I went thru. We talked on the phone at length and he was able to fix a HUGE issue for me. His patience and taking the time with me on the phone today- was truly amazing. Greg was able to resolve everything that has been an issue for 6+ months with my previous agent. Greg is super savvy and intelligent, figuring out how to personalize customers needs AND getting a better then I was even expecting! Trust me, I can be a pain when I have an issue- but Greg took the ball and ran with it! If you want an honest, agent who has your back 100% for home, auto, life, etc. Greg Metelak is your insurance agent- who will get you insured for a very decent, affordable price!! One of the best agents I've worked with. His knowledge on how insurance works and the way he's explained coverages and why certain things are the way they are has earned him a lifelong customer. I've referred everyone his way and they've all come to me after and said the same thing. They didn't feel like they were sold, they felt taken care of. Anyone can call another insurance company, but they usually just want to sell you something quick without explaining what everything means. Biggest tip for anyone, just because it's "full coverage" from another provider, doesn't mean you're fully protected. Greg is one of the good ones! read more

If it was possible, it'd be zero stars. Stuck on the side of the road for nearly 3 hours in 16 degree whether and ZERO help from our State Farm agent. This was the first time we used the roadside assistance that we PAY FOR through State Farm only to be left on hold, hung up on several times and pushed around to no less than 5 different people. Finally they connected us with a tow service in Minnesota, Which would have been great, except we live and needed the service in Illinois. Zero response from our agent, Greg Metelak through the whole ordeal. Finally forced to figure out how to change the tire ourselves on the side of interstate 90, at night, with constant traffic flying by. The most we got from Greg was a text message back the next day. When we finally called him we were told there is nothing he can do in the way of a refund for the service we have been paying which complexly FAILED us during the only time we have ever needed it. In fact, all he did was deflect responsibility to a third party service State Farm uses for their roadside assistance. ZERO responsibility taken by State Farm for the failure of a service they offer. He also told us that we should have just called a towing service ourselves, instead of relying on State Farm with Greg telling us "it's on you" if we didn't want to find a towing service ourselves, pay for it out of pocket and then hope to get reimbursed. Something we didn't think or know we would ever have to do because STATE FARM offers roadside assistance. Like a good neighbor? I should have just called my neighbor. We would have actually gotten some help. We are done with State Farm and Greg Metelak. read more

When getting my own car insurance Greg Metelak was the first person I turned to at State Farm. A random google search, ended up being the best thing I could have done. I didn't have the best driving history, so I knew finding affordable/reliable car insurance would be difficult for me. I am beyond lucky to have contacted his office at the time that I did. Since then, I have had nothing but good experiences from him as an agent and the company in general. Whether it was having a few questions and his immediate responses or his willingness to help work around your life and the unknown struggles you may encounter each month when paying your bill. Being that this was my first time using car insurance on my own, I didn't have much of an idea of how anything worked. Especially how much money you could save from very simple things. I just had to ask and he found a way to help me with things I didn't even know existed.
