I love walking down the aisles to see all the things you'd never find in most grocery stores, the staff here is very welcoming and outgoing and always ready to help direct you to anything you need. I just heard Rouse purchased (10) more Winn Dixie locations that they plan to renovate and rebrand them under the Rouse name, unfortunately none close to my home but it's great news for their Louisiana and Mississippi loyal customers. They have a seafood dept that has a variety to choose from, mostly known for their boiled shrimp and crawfish~Cajun style. We like the seafood dips they have, especially the smoked tuna a dip. They have the best key lime pie in town. So, I usually have one of those in my freezer. Oh, they have a big area for alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. You name it, Rouse's probably has it. Rouse's is more convenient to the beach than other grocery stores, but it may be a little pricier. You have to weigh the pros and the cons, like all other places. With fresh veggies it was moist & so tender! They now have a loyalty card which I got today. Plus they now carry my fav brand of ice cream & dairy items by Prairie Farms. I shop exclusively at Sunflower now that Greers has added a 10% surcharge on all their groceries (even premarked items). I do miss the deli but hopefully Rameys will put one in the poplarville store. Happy, friendly people work here...they greet every customer unlike Greers cashiers who rather text or chat amongst themselves. I haven't steppped foot in Greers since I was ripped off to tune of $18.96 on my grocery bill the 1st week they became "cash savers". Looking forward to shopping again next week at Sunflower/Rameys :)

What I found there was a actual butcher, employees who were polite,courteous, and eager to help you find what you need, as well as management staff working alongside their associates . Everyone, staff and customers alike all had smiles on their faces. The prices were reasonable, the meat was fresh, and it was well stocked. It is an older store but it was clean and well situated/organized. Store Specials begin every Friday and you can view the circular online as well as make out your list. My total bill was $129 and I got good quality food including canned, frozen, fresh meat and fresh produce. I am disabled and on a fixed income. I was able to manage this store and that means the world to me.. Parking was right in front and one of the associates put the items from my cart to the conveyor belt, bagged them, and then loaded them in my car!!!!!!! I didn't even have to ask! Customer service here has been going downhill. The first strike is when I ordered turkey breast for…read morethe holidays and they gave me the whole carcass with just the breast on it. So they basically charged me for a carcass that I can't eat. Who gives you turkey breast with the carcass attached like the whole rib cage. I just got a meatloaf from there and it's not all meat. Now they add SOY to their meatloaf to cut down on their cost for them, but still charge us a premium price for the meat. Soy does not belong in a MEAT loaf. I will no longer order their holiday turkey breast because they're charging me for A carcass along with the breast. Now I will no longer order meatloaf because they're charging me for meat and yet they cram SOY in the so-called meatloaf. It's getting pretty close to the point where I just won't shop here anymore. There was also a time where they re-wrapped meat with a new date on it and forgot to remove the old date. That's not really legal. I don't know who is doing all of this, but it's not how little butcher shop used to be. Whoever is in charge now needs to stop it immediately before they get turned in to the proper authorities.
