I contacted Stone's Plumbing, who said he would arrive between 10 and 11 am on Thursday. Twenty minutes before 10, he called to reschedule for the next morning between 10 and 11. When Friday arrived, I had to text Stone's Plumbing around 11:15 to confirm if he was still coming. He called me and said he couldn't make it and would reschedule for the next morning. I then called Mr. Rooter again, who had referred me to Panky. Panky assured me he would be able to get my drainage working that day. He understood the inconvenience of our situation as a family of 5. By 5pm, Panky had my septic tank pumped, and my house was draining properly. He helped explain how the septic system works and made sure we had proper drainage before he left. I am very grateful for him and his partner coming out and helping us. I would definitely call him again if I have any other issues or need a pump in the future.

Jeff also moved piles of dirt around the property to make the property much more aesthetically pleasing. Jeff volunteered to smooth out gravel driveway around the home that was torn up when it was placed on the property and removed an old feeder and old riding mower that was left in the trees by previous owner. Discussed this work while getting the quote but was expecting it to be adjusted when he did the work. When all work was done, the fee was lower than the quote since it completed the job earlier than expected and Jeff only charged for the time spent. Refreshing to see a reputable person who doesn't charge more than time involved. Jeff did a 5 star job at reasonable rates. Will definitely use again on my next project.

Of course he wants to make it out to be a bigger job than it was. I would have gladly paid that amount if he had installed a shut off valve, but he didn't. He couldn't quote me an estimate because he hadn't seen the job. But when he saw the job, he didn't call me to say what he would charge. He wanted to justify his charge by talking about a holiday weekend. However the Labor Day holiday was on 9-7-26 and he went to the property on 9-3-26. Then he claimed additional charge due to the time of day that he went there. The property was open during business hours and he walked right in and did the unplugging of the water cooler and turning off the water before closing time. I would warn people to avoid using Bell Plumbing.

The first thing I'll say is that Steven, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. In an industry where communication can be a challenge, he kept me informed every step of the way. I received regular updates on the progress of the job, and not once did I have to track him down for answers or wonder what was happening on my property. Just as importantly, Steven was fair, honest, and did exactly what he said he would do. His crew showed up when they said they would, worked hard, and took pride in their work. One thing that really stood out was how clean they kept the job site. At the end of each day, the property was left neat and organized. I've had multiple trades working on this project, including framers and electricians, and no other crew left the site as clean as S&M Dirt Tech. If you're looking for an excavation contractor who communicates, does quality work, and treats your project with respect, I would not hesitate to recommend S&M Dirt Tech.
