We loved the pool and hot tub. Very nice, especially when we were there alone. Room was clean and comfortable. Not great, but a pretty great deal. Some of the exercise equipment (by the pool) were inoperable. The nearby Tangarine was quite nice, and you get a 15% discount if you are staying at the hotel. The location of this motel is perfect for visiting Price - close to everything. I was surprised to see reviews saying the staff was unfriendly and uncaring. Everyone we saw or spoke with were very friendly and immediately helpful. Yes, we did have a $100 hold on our credit card, but it was immediately removed. If I could leave less than a star I would. The room itself and the property were decent for the price. Not a luxury hotel but definitely what you expect for the price. However the cleaning service and customer service were disgustingly horrible. The first morning as we left for the day the cleaning lady was walking by and asked if we wanted it cleaned. We politely said just some clean towels would suffice. We came back in the evening and while she did leave clean towels she took my toothbrush which was sitting on a hand towel on the bathroom sink. She possible just grabbed the towel thinking it was dirty but it left me without a toothbrush in a town that closes at dusk pretty much. When I let the front desk know the next morning. She really didn't care. The fast forward to our last morning and we got up early to head out for an early flight and I accidentally left my Apple Watch charging. I didn't see it because I had to plug it in and leave it on the floor next the the cabinet as it was the only available outlet. I don't realize it until I got to the airport which was well before 10am and before the cleaning service would have entered. I called rhe front desk and explained and asked if she could grab it and mail it to me. I'd be happy to pay the shipping. She quickly replied and said no we don't do that here. I asked for a manager. She quickly said no. We don't have one until Tuesday. I asked if she could go grab it from the room before it disappeared and place it in a drawer for me until I speak with a manager. She said no but maybe the cleaning people will grab it later. UNPROFESSONAL AND NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD. I will be calling Tuesday to report Ronnie to the manager and I really hope they can make accommodations to get my property back to me. I am out of state so I simply can't drive by to pick it up. I'm surprised at the lower reviews, because I had none of these negative experiences. We arrived late (10pm) and got check in right away to our place. We found our room with ease and get settled in quickly. Our room was a double with hard wood floors. The beds and bathroom were clean and the television had a full compliment of channels for us. If you're looking for a kind of "local" spot to stay in the small town, I would recommend this place. I think this is one of the more nicer local spots if you're not wanting to stay at a large, corporate based hotel in the small town. When you walk in, you are greeted by the front desk. The front desk employee helped us quickly and we even conversed about common interests (the K-pop group, BTS). To the right of the desk, there is a giant pool and a hot tub. I believe, we had room 210 which was in the corner right next to the door by the pool. I had requested for a microwave in the room, so we had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. When we walked into the room, it smelled like cigarettes or maybe it was just an old inn smell? However, even though this was a no smoking room, it did not smell great when we walked in. There was also yellow liquid dried on the mirror, which I'm not sure what it was, but it was definitely not cleaned off by housekeeping. The bed seemed clean and everything else was fine. I believe the perks of this Inn is the nice indoor pool and hot tub. When we went to the pool, there was just a family at the hot tub, so Stanley, and I just went to the pool instead. I was a little bummed, but did not want to risk it due to Covid-19. The pool was a warm comfortable temperature, so it felt pretty nice to go into the pool! Of course, not as warm as the hot tub, but at least it did not "hurt" trying to go into the freezing pool. Also, the close proximity to the Tangerine Eatery. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel we checked in and had two rooms. We have a 12-year-old who they kicked us out because they said our 12-year-old was an adult and that our12 year old needed their own room. have you ever heard anything like that in your life and our small children were in the swimming pool and she made us take them out, soaking wet and get in our car and leave. and this was at 7:59 PM. then when she came out, she started yelling at the 12-year-old instead of coming over and speaking to us adults terrible terrible personality, ruined our entire Christmas. read more

For the last several years my husband and I have spent one weekend a month in Price for drill with the Utah National Guard. There are basically two hotels there that we go back and forth on, but we have spent a fair amount of time at the Greenwell. For the most part we have had an average experience, generally a two night stay and the hotel has been acceptable. Never exceptional but acceptable. The staff has never been super friendly but will say hello if you do or smile if you do. Other than that, they will simply walk on by. If asked a question, they will answer, and it generally feels as though they are somewhat put out by answering. We remind ourselves it is only two nights, and we really have no need to see them or talk to them. We like the access to the restaurants from the Greenwell Inn and the location of the hotel. So, the staff is generally an issue we can ignore. The last time I stayed was February 3rd and that will for sure be the last time. It has taken me a few days to write this review because I am still so upset that I had to take time to calm down and speak with my attorney. After leaving the hotel we found that we were charged $100.00 for "damages". This has never happened before, so we reached out to the hotel for clarification. My husband called a few times and they said that they would look into it and the manager, Gina, would give him a call back. That call was not received but I did reach her on Thursday 2/16/23. When I called, I said something about my husband calling previously and I said I believe he spoke to you or was supposed to speak to you, and she immediately became aggressive and defensive. She began to dispute that he had spoken to her and was very adamant about this. I did not know for sure that he had spoken to her, so I said that I was not sure he had spoken to her or was supposed to. My call had nothing to do with "if" my husband spoke to her or not. I did not want that to be the focal point, Gina was reluctantly able to move on once I was able to make it clear that I did not know for sure that he had spoken to her. We moved on from that and I brought up the "damages" and asked for clarification on the charge and what the "damages" were. There was an issue. I have a 3lb therapy/service dog. The dog serves as notification for me if I am losing strength in my legs and I have to sit down or I will fall down. As well as other notifications. That morning, while getting ready to leave, my dog notified me to sit down, I was unable to get up for quite some time. I was unable to take my dog out and he held it for as long as he could. Apparently, he had an accident on the bed. Completely my fault. I accepted responsibility and did not dispute the $100.00 for "damages" although I think it is a bit extreme. She had an attitude the entre time explaining the issue and was combative from the very beginning. I had her on Bluetooth in the car and a few people with me in the car. Everyone was surprised at the attitude that Gina displayed with a guest. I should have ended the call there. However, in a management position when working with the public it requires someone skilled in issue resolution. I said is there an issue with the service dog at the hotel. She advised there is an issue and that I am required to disclose the animal as well as provide documentation on the service animal that upper management must review. I said you cannot ask to see any documentation for any service animal. That is against federal law and privacy rights protect me from disclosing any health-related issue or providing documentation on the animal. Gina was already yelling at this point; she had been for a large majority of the phone call. When she heard me in between her yelling stating that she cannot ask for documentation, she screamed back that this is their policy no exceptions, I stated it again talking about federal law, she responded again screaming this is their policy and I must provide to them documentation to be reviewed. Of course, our conversation would go nowhere like this. Gina was interested in escalating the situation and had no desire or skills to de-escalate the situation. I asked for her manager twice, I asked for a name and number for her manager and Gina hung up on me. Obviously, refusing to provide this information. There are so many issues with this. I take full responsibility for the sheets on the bed. I know they are not worth $100.00 but we paid the fee, and that issue should be resolved. However, there are several issues still unresolved. 1. When dealing with management of a hotel where they service guests, there should be a required level of communication. Yelling and screaming at me was incredibly inappropriate. Especially considering that I was not disputing the fee so how hard could have that call been to handle? The escalation was done on the part of the manager, Gina. read more

We were passing through on our way to Vegas. Very adequate accommodations. The shower was a bit short as we were both tall. Parking seemed a bit crowded but we parked right in front of our room. I would recommend this for a night or two. Hit up the Tangerine across the parking lot. You get a discount and the food and atmosphere is terrific! read more

Surprised with the reviews, our experience was good and certainly a bang for your buck! The only annoyance was checking in took a while because I think they were training a guy. He told us we'd need to drive to the other side of the hotel and it was a 15min walk and we were like "what? is this place really that big?" especially because we had just dragged all our luggage out. We just walked and it was like a 1.5 min walk -__- The arrangement of the pool and gym is VERY odd and I don't like that it's smack dab in the middle and makes the whole place smell of chlorine. Room was nice, no complaints. The sideby restaurant has the $2 unlimited pancakes for breakfast and good coffee. Anything there is 15% for people staying at the hotel. Nice! This was a great overnight stay. We were in town unexpectedly and this place was super cheap. The lady at the front desk was super helpful and nice. The room was spacious and clean. The shower drained, which is a big deal in my book. There is a pool and hot tub, but we didn't use either. There is also a restaurant and bar, but we didn't use those either. So the room could have been cleaner, and there were no benches or anything outside, even far from the rooms. The bed was loud; squeaky doesn't even describe it, this thing groaned like an old tractor wheel. There were almost no available outlets- every outlet was already taken by a lamp or something. The only outlet available for me to plug in my phone was one single socket by the bathroom sink. Even if I had decided to got unplugging lamps, none of the outlets were near the bed. Also the headboard was shaped so strange which made it hard to lean against to watch TV. The pillows were weak at best, and there were only 3 pillows which left my partner and I fighting over who got to have two. PS the attached restaurant was disappointing and the lobby smelled like chlorine. read more

11 am checkout is to be STRICTLY adhered to. This is no joke. We checked in after midnight and we were exhausted. We asked the night desk for a late checkout. The next morning, even after we managed to get back to sleep after being perved on by the maid who just threw the door open like she was serving a warrent at 10 a.m., this desk manager calls at 11 a.m. and yells with this expectant disappointed parent voice that the maids needed the room and she "had paperwork to do" She stated we had to vacate the room immediately. As we left the room.. the maid was nowhere in sight. They give you one pillow on a bed that sucks. They said two of my coworkers didn't pay because the girls don't know how to work the computer then the owner/manager decided to charge my debit card for all the money they say my coworkers owed. And this is after literally everyday I was there their computer overcharged my card. Tried to talk to the owner/manager for over week and she admitted the charges were wrong still will not refund my money. TV's need to be upgraded, but hey my Irish still won. The towels are a little thin and small, so bring your own. This place is a great value. I was in town to perform the wedding of my cousin. I thought I would give the Greenwell Inn a try. I booked on hotels.com, and the booking was easy. Because accommodations are never guaranteed, the day before my arrival, I called the hotel. I explained to them that I am disabled and walking long distances is not really an option for me. I spoke with the manager and was assured that my parking and room will be very close together; the layout of the hotel is such that you literally park in front of your room door. I also explained that I would be paying in cash upon check-in. When I arrived, after driving for two hours, the room they had assigned me was dirty. So they moved me to a different room. I drove to my room, parked, and went to the door. My room keys did not work. I got in my car went back to the lobby, got new key cards, and went back to the room. The key cards worked, but there was somebody already in the room! I went back to the lobby and told them of the problem. They apologized and told me my original room was ready. The only problem was it was a second floor room, no elevator - stairs only - and the ramp was accessible from the middle of the hotel. So, not only was the original room not disablity accessible directly from the parking lot as requested, it was actually worse than any other hotel room on the property for physical accommodation. The person who checked in after me received a more accessable room than I did, so it was a matter of assigning the wrong room to the wrong people. Or not caring. Either way. When I pointed this out to the manager, whom was the same manager I had spoke to the day before mind you, she apologized, said they had no other rooms, and offered me a discount. Since I had paid in cash, she handed me back the difference in cash. The room was standard, bouncy mattress with a wood board for support underneath, small fridge and microwave which was handy. Local TV, basic cable. Bathroom was tiny, which made things quite difficult for someone who is disabled. The remainder of our time at the hotel was uneventful until it came time for check out. I have an alert set on my phone whenever my credit card is charged. I don't use my credit card as form of payment typically, so when it is charged, I want to know about it. I received a notification early the next morning that my card had been charged for the full amount of the room. I called down to the front desk, and the manager, Taylor, who was aware of my situation since she checked me in, said she would take care of it. Check out is at 11am. At 9am, despite the "do not disturb" sign on the door, housekeeping attempted to enter the room. When she was told we were not ready and that we still have 2 more hours, her reply was that she had a lot of rooms to clean that day and wondered if we would be leaving early. Are you kidding me? Before we checked out, I called my credit card company and confirmed that there was a charge made by the hotel directly for the room. When I asked what I could do to dispute the charge since I had paid in cash, I was told I would need a receipt for the full amount of the room showing that I paid in cash and they could restore my funds. This is what I told the manager when I checked out. She told me she could not supply any kind of receipt, since she had given me a discount on the room. When I told her that I had paid in cash up front, and I asked her why they charge my credit card at all, she said that they had to hold one nights room rate as a deposit. I reminded her that when I checked in, I asked about a cash deposit because I had cash deposit ready and waiting to go and she told me that it wasn't necessary. Apparently, it was completely necessary. But, after all, as Taylor said, they didnt really charge me, it was only pending, right? I guess she doesn't understand how debit and credit cards work. When a charge is pending, the financial institution holds that money until the charge clears or is cancelled. Even if it's cancelled, it can take up to 14 days for the money to be restored to an account. Now, since I can't prove that I paid for the room in cash, since the room rates are now different, I have to wait 14 days for those funds to be restored to my card. This is the card, mind you, that I use for travel emergencies. The hotel was inexpensive and clean, but their staff is completely incompetent. I will not be staying there again. read more

We stopped at this hotel last minute, it looked beautiful on the outside and the pool was very inviting! Our first thought of our 2 queen bedroom was nice, it looked very clean. WOW was we wrong! Upon climbing into bed we found blood and possibly feces on the underside of the comforter. We asked for more blankets and were told that the hotel only has a limited amount of blankets and they could give us two. I was not impressed and will not be staying here again! read more

I am staying with these folks for the next three months. I stayed at two others before arriving here. I have already been here for one month. They have bent over backwards to work with me. I wanted affordability, cleanliness modestly furnished. It didn't have to be a 5 star but the bed needed to be good and the room nice. The Ramada and Holiday Inn are nicer but the Holiday is double the price and Ramada about $30 more per night. Legacy was more expensive and old looking inside and out. The TV package is much better here than at the Ramada which up sells you on any movie you watch, up to $14.99. I get Fox News here and a good variety of TV as well as movie channels. If you don't mind laminate flooring it's the best deal in town. Clean and neat. The indoor pool is really cool looking but I never used it. There is a bigger selection of work out equipment but some of it is older and in need of repair. There is a restaurant connected to it. Housekeeping does a great job! read more

For the price, $80.00, this was not a good deal. Beds are so-so. Room had a VERY strong smell of Lysol type cleaner. Made us wonder what had happened in the room requiring so much cleaning fluid.
