Yes, you heard me correctly NO PAIN and I was only on local anesthesia. I went in scared, nervous, and embarrassed about the state my teeth were in b/c I avoided going to a dentist for years. She and her awesome assistant Missi put me at ease immediately. They and the entire office staff are genuinely kind people who care about people and you feel that the minute you walk in. I have been in for procedures as well as rechecks and they are all just as helpful, caring, and accommodating whether it's a Monday morning or later in the week. Doctor Baker seems to embrace new technology and procedure changes and adjustments as they come along. I have never gotten the vibe of that old school, resistant to change atmosphere I have found in other offices. As procedures are done, Dr. Baker explains what she is doing and is continuously conscious of my comfort level. Her assistant, Missi knows her stuff and the two of them work perfectly together. Missi is very attentive and concerned about discomfort as well. Even my chapped lips were tended too while I was there. I was also offered a blanket before my procedure. I have always left there with all my questions answered and complete instructions for my aftercare, prescriptions, and a realistic expectation of upcoming pain levels and duration. I also have the Dr.'s cell phone in case I have any issues. I would prefer to not have dental work done at all, but since that's not an option I feel blessed to have found them. This is a great doctor with an awesome staff.. right down to scheduling, payment processing, and acknowledgement of your arrival and departure. If I could I would give them more stars. SHUT UP AND WAIT…read more.... though Dr. West is very nice and takes appropriate time w/patients (appreciated), this time is NOT reflected in how they book appts. After yrs of being in business, he knows the average time he spends for each type of patient appt...so there's NO excuse for overbooking appts, where you have to wait, and wait, and wait.... EVERY time I've had an appt over the yrs, I've had to wait 30min - an hour+ and today was no different. I went for a pre-deep cleaning appt where they needed to take blood pressure/check heart and sign some docs...which takes about 5 minutes. After 25min wait, I finally said something to staff about status and waiting for close to 30min for a 5-min appt was not acceptable. One staff member immediately responded with hostility, saying "well, it's going to be a while...quite a while before he's ready. I can take you back to a room but you're still going to have to wait" REALLY?? I was taken back and he took blood pressure and had me sign docs and left. I waited another 10 minutes and then walked up to front and said I was only going to wait another 5min. That came and gone so I walked out again and stood outside the room where Dr. West was (another 5 min)....so I could catch him as soon as that appt was done. NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT He came out and we walked into the room I had been in. I said he needed to address his booking tactics, that waiting for 40 + min for a 5-min appt was way overboard. He responded by stating he spends time w/patients and doesn't rush.....and that's GREAT but I told him this "time" needed to be reflected in his booking tactics so patients don't have to wait and wait and wait. He never apologized, never acknowledged my concern and my lengthy wait. Just completely ignored it. What DID he respond to??? He responded by saying his practice wasn't a good fit for me. That clearly showed he had no intention of addressing my concern and if I had just kept my mouth shut and continued to wait unnecessarily longer, everything would be OK. Sorry Doc, but treating patients like this (dismissing them if they DARE to confront you on continual, beyond lengthy wait times) is unacceptable. HEADS UP FOLKS cuz it was VERY apparent he had no intentions of changing anything....other than refusing service to anyone who confronts him. BAD BUSINESS...... BE AWARE FOLKS.....

I called to make an appointment because I was told my tooth must be pulled. I am way overdue to…read morehave this done because there is infection. so I called the place I was referred to and made an appointment to get my tooth pulled. When I got there, they said we're not doing that today. We're just doing a consultation! A consultation for any questions you may have. Just a consultation just for your questions. Got it. but on the way out, she said, "no this was an exam!" and it wasn't just my questions. He put tools in my mouth and poked around. That does not sound like a consultation to me. That is an exam. I I kind of felt assaulted. Over and above all that... the doctor asked if I had depression because I started to get a little upset. I said yes. he said, "is it diagnosed". I said, "yes, I have bipolar and I have severe degenerative disc disease and he was asking about my depression and anxiety, if the cannabis helps and if that's why I'm taking it, for the anxiety. he had questions about why I'm taking my legally prescribed cannabis. Then he said that they could not sedate me that I would have to go somewhere else. That's fine. But he said that he would not be able to manage me and I need the sedation so I need to go somewhere else!. I said, "what do you mean you can't MANAGE ME?!" he said, "yes I would not be able to manage you and your mental problems!!" can you believe that shit?! I'm about to call the Americans with Disabilities Association!! In the beginning, he wouldn't even let me ask questions. He kept acting like I should just be quiet and let him talk. Also, it's none of your damn business why I am legally prescribed cannabis! ‍ now he's going to make me feel ashamed and trigger my depression. No, I don't think so, but for someone who is not as strong as me, yes, very likely! his nurse even slammed the door, leaving the waiting room because she was trying to say that he couldn't manage me because I needed sedation and I said, "no! I clarified it. I had said, "you mean you cannot manage me because of the sedation?" he's like, "...and I would not be able to manage you and your mental problems!" And apparently he did trigger me because that was how my mom described me when I got in the car and started my rant I even put this little interaction on TikTok, @Fraidy.Cat. The check out clerk apologized though.. she was very nice and I wish her the best! I have no complaints about the young lady at the checkout counter.

I also have gotten cleanings by both dental hygienists, Andrea & Hiep. They are very good at their work and always give suggestions on proper care/oral health. Overall, everyone here is helpful which says a lot because an office staff should be as good as the dentist in their area of expertise.
