Bobbie was extremely helpful in the order process making sure I understood everything to make it a successful install. And one year later the area looks great, except for the giant hole that had to be dug to fix a sewer line. I called to ask about getting seed to fill in the area where the hole was dug and Bobbie said that I could buy the same grass type as the sod that was put down the year before. Highly recommend them.

The guy who came out was courteous and I looked forward to getting an estimate so that I could move forward with my project. One week went by....no calls. Two weeks went by....no calls. So, I called again and left a message with someone who appeared to be taking calls during the lunch hour. He said he would give them the message and they would call back. Another week....no calls. I guess if they didn't think the job was profitable enough, maybe they should have at least had the courtesy to let me know so I could get another estimate. Now weeks have passed by and I have to start all over again with new estimates. They were not reliable at all when it came to returning my calls and I never even got an estimate for the work. We wanted to rate these guys a lot higher than this. When it came to completing the work they were…read morefast, easy to work with, and nothing but great throughout the whole process. We were so pleased with how nice they were that when they accidentally tore out more driveway than we'd contracted for, as offered to split the cost with them rather than have them eat the whole cost. I was a bit disappointed to receive a painted on border, when I'd asked for stamped, and then discover the next year they offered what I'd asked for to every project they did. What was most disappointing though was asking for a stained patio, to discover that they just painted on the stain not mixed it with the concrete. No big deal right, I knew very little about this stuff and they did a good job, and again they were nothing but great to work with. I chalked it up to another learning experience when working with contractors, and proceeded to enjoy my new patio and driveway. However, to my ultimate dismay this painted on stain lasted only 8 months before I discovered it flaking off all over our patio. Frustrating, but no big deal as Mike's crew warranties their work, we let them know right away, and we were reassured theyd get us fixed up once the season started back up. That was 20 months ago, despite constant contact and promises, no actual follow through or correction. We were finally left with no choice but to file a complaint to the state AG. If you're looking for good solid, not decorative work I definetly recommend these guys. Our driveway is still holding up well. If you're looking for a patio or other piece that appearance is important, just know, if there are issues afterwards there won't be a warranty to fall back on. Also, make sure when working with any and all contractors to ask for their license number and check it against the state database.
