I was told how the gutter guard would get slid under the shingles and then attach to the gutters (as it should). I sign off on the estimate. And then they come to do the job. From the ground level it looked like everything was going well. I later walk upstairs to a bedroom and look out the window to find that he was installing the gutter guards OVER the shingles and drilling screws INTO my shingles!!! He was creating holes in my shingles which becomes a new source of water breaching which is the exact opposite purpose of having a roof and gutter guards. I immediately run outside to question what he is doing. I was so alarmed. He had already installed almost 1/3 of the gutter guards damaging my roof. He kept insisting that this was a standard way to install the guards. I told him absolutely not. I am very familiar with gutter guards and know very well that they have to be slid under the shingles. How can you drill screws into shingles creating holes all around my roof edge?!?! He kept promising me that it would be fine and that if there were ever a problem I can call and they would come back to remedy it no charge. I emailed the main office telling them what happened and telling them what he said. They wrote back confirming that they would come back anytime in the future for free should a problem ever arise. At that point I felt I had no other recourse because he had already installed 1/3 of the guards around my roof. So he went ahead and finished. I gave them a good review online because I trusted them that this will still be okay and they will stand by any issues that arise in the future. Fast forward 2 years later, now some of the gutter guards have loosened (obviously because they were screwed in and now the screws are getting loose). Multiple gutters have gotten clogged with leaves even though that is exactly what they were supposed to prevent. I got on a ladder and discovered the reason is because he cut the gutter guard edges with gaps from roof edge to roof edge. So there are multiple entry points for the leaves and dirt to go into. All he did was cover SECTIONS of my gutters but left gaping holes in multiple areas so that they no longer serve their purpose. I have tried repeatedly to get in touch with Home Ally. I've called and left messages. No response. I've sent Thumbtack messages. No response. I've sent emails. No response. This is beyond disturbing. I had another company come to look and they said they've never seen anything so disastrous with gutter guards. And the amount of damage caused to my roof is irreversible! What was supposed to be a simple job to protect my home has turned into a nightmare now that will cost me thousands and thousands of dollars!! Stay far away from this company. They do not do quality work and clearly could care less to respond to any messages or voicemails.

We have had drainage issues on our property which was leading to moisture and mold buildup in the…read morebasement walls, the source of which was poor drainage around the house. I hired Paul to install a new drainage solution in both my front and back yard, regrade the top soil away from the house, and install belgium block window wells around the basement windows. After speaking to several other drainage contractors for estimates, Paul stood out the most. He had the most detailed plan for the new drainage solution and it was clear he thought through many details the others did not. His price was very reasonable, he is extremely responsive, and he clearly communicates his plan, scheduling, and explains everything very thoroughly in advance. We're very happy with the new drainage, and can finally enjoy our yard without it being a muddy mess after every rain! Given the great work Paul and his team did, I've hired Paul again for additional landscape work, including demo of old shrubs and trees, installing paver edging, and laying down new sod in the backyard. After being turned away by multiple other hardwood flooring bizs, John said he could help us out. Our floors were a time consuming project because we had to replace multiple boards without tearing up all surrounding wood. John sent "two of his most patient guys" for two days of labor - which included fixing the main problem in our kitchen, and then small flooring projects all over the house that we could squeeze in. That's exactly what we needed. Overall, they did a great job. They know how to work with old, original hardwood flooring, their work feels secure and sturdy, and they did as best a job as they could've done on color matching the stain. I think we paid a fair price, and I would definitely work with John again on future flooring projects.
