I always had eczema growing up but very small patches that would come and go. But not until I got sick I went to Kaiser and they gave me some antibiotics and I was taking them almost every month for 3 months and then I started to get eczema all over my upper body. So I went to countless of dermatologist at Kaiser and 2 holistic doctors but of course Kaiser kept prescribing the same thing. Which was steroids whether it was pills or creams. I even took two to three shots of a biologic called adbry. I had it all over my chest to my arms and even my ears and scalp it was painful and oozing all the time I didn't know what to do to stop the oozing. I also had it on my face. I would not be able to shower every day and if I did it had to be quick and I needed help washing my hair. They took care of me a lot here I vouched 100% for the herbal medicine and their care. I took maybe about 4 to five boxes of it and almost after two months I was feeling sooo much better. Of course everyone's body is different, I learned so much about my body and what to do when it came to my diet and they answered all of my questions that I was curious about. I'm still not 100% healed but there is no more red inflamed skin covered on my arms and no more oozing! And now I'm able to slowly reintroduce the food I wasn't able to eat during treatment. I definitely recommend coming to ty wellness center for anyone dealing with tsw or eczema. And my prayers go out there to anyone going through this tough journey and hope it gets better because it will! I know at first you don't see results right away but they start coming a little day by day.The herbal medicine is what helped me the most! Even though it was kinda pricey I thought it was worth my health. I only got up to 3 sessions of acupuncture which was pretty relaxing too.

I am deeply grateful to Dr. James Choi. After seeing many traditional Chinese medicine and…read moreacupuncture doctors, I can honestly say that Dr. Choi is different in the best possible way. Many clinics today can feel rushed and volume-driven. You often feel like the doctor is trying to see as many patients as possible, and each appointment becomes very quick and mechanical. With Dr. Choi, I never felt that way. He spends real time with his patients, listens carefully, asks detailed questions, and genuinely tries to understand what is happening in the body. You can feel that he deeply cares about the person in front of him, not just the appointment. What impressed me most is his combination of integrity, experience, and skill. He has more than 40 years of clinical experience, but he still treats each patient with patience and seriousness. He does not use a one-size-fits-all approach. He uses a Korean Four-Constitution / Sasang constitutional approach, and he also carefully studies the fingerprint patterns of all ten fingers as part of understanding a patient's individual constitution. From what I have researched, this approach is very special because it looks at the whole person, not just one symptom. A person with a "cold" constitution may need a very different treatment approach from someone with a "hot" constitution, and a yin-type body may respond differently from a yang-type body. Dr. Choi understands these differences and adjusts his treatment with great precision. My own experience has been very meaningful. I had numbness around one side of my mouth for about two years. After my first acupuncture treatment with Dr. Choi, I felt about 80% improvement. That result gave me a lot of hope. Since then, I have continued to feel that his treatment is not only based on strong technique, but also on a sincere desire to help the patient get better. I now drive almost two hours each way to see him, nearly four hours round trip. Even with that long drive, I still feel it is worth it, because it is very rare to meet a doctor who has both excellent medical skill and a truly caring heart. Dr. Choi represents what I believe a physician should be: honest, responsible, highly experienced, careful, patient, and deeply committed to healing. I am truly thankful for his help, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor who treats patients with both skill and integrity. D

I was treated by David Di (L.Ac, Dipl. OM), who was informative, concise, and helpful throughout the entire visit. The results have been highly effective. I was slightly sore afterward, but the immense discomfort I've been experiencing from lower back pain and a torn rotator cuff has subsided. I can actually feel the circulation in my shoulder again, and the stubborn knots in my shoulder blade have finally released...thank goodness! It feels so good to know there is such a great acupuncturist to add to my holistic health care plan. I am already looking forward to my follow-up appointment! Oh yeah... parking wasn't bad. I've been coming here often enough to notice that 10 Body Type has a bunch of regulars - meaning people see a positive difference in their health and keep coming back. This is a casual office, and you're given your own small room for care, which is complete with acupuncture needles (the number ranging depending on what you're being seen for), magnets (at the doctor's discretion), and heat lamps to improve circulation and for comfort. A lot of people think acupuncture is akin to a massage or spa place - it is not. It's a doctor's office for medical treatment! Once you're needled, you rest for about 20-45 minutes in the same position, and you're welcome to bring headphones to pass the time. Specific background for why I go to acupuncture in case it's helpful to someone in a similar boat: I've been suffering for two plus years with a vaccine injury that caused a host of heart, lung, and energy issues, including an onslaught of mass cell activation and depression. I've spent the majority of the last two years in bed and in a tremendous amount of pain. I was finally referred to a pain management specialist, and she mandated that I begin acupuncture alongside some trial prescriptions for nerve pain. My first acupuncture appointment made me feel like I just had ten cups of coffee. Energy and life and joy that had been inaccessible to me were suddenly returned. Acupuncture is vital in restoring and strengthening a body's Qi or Chi, and that's exactly what I've felt. I go to acupuncture diligently twice a week to improve my circulation and stay on course with my overall improvement of health and happiness. I skipped one appointment and I didn't have the strength to exercise! Though I do hope one day soon I won't need so many visits, twice a week is absolutely crucial for my quality of life right now. I was familiar with 10 Body Type because I used to come here years ago for frozen shoulder / calcium deposits from sports injuries and use. It definitely helped with my recovery and pain management, and sports injuries are a very common reason people go to acupuncture for the first time. 10 Body Type is located in a shopping strip with its own parking lot, or there's plenty of metered parking. I wholeheartedly recommend 10 Body Type. Please read about acupuncture beforehand if you're nervous, but the staff and doctors will make you feel completely at ease and it's truly a painless and simple thing with so many benefits. Big tip: wear loose clothing and prepare to take off your shoes!

I found Dr. Chen during one of the most difficult times of my life…read more After a medical diagnosis, my nervous system seemed to go haywire, and I developed severe insomnia. At one point, I was unable to sleep at all. I was extremely averse to medication and initially refused any treatment. I found Dr. Chen and began acupuncture. I still wasn't sleeping, but after a few sessions, Dr. Chen gently advised me that I should consider taking medication. Because I trusted him, I listened. I took a short course of medication, and eventually I went back to sleeping like a baby. Dr. Chen was there throughout my entire period of suffering and healing, and I credit his expertise in acupuncture as an important part of my recovery. Before finding Dr. Chen, I had seen another acupuncturist who did absolutely nothing for me. The office was the definition of "Zen"--water sounds, beautiful scents, peaceful surroundings--and it cost a whole lot of money. And yet I was awake the entire time. Dr. Chen's office is the complete opposite. It is very no-frills, with bright lights and phones ringing. And somehow, every single time the needles are in, my body lets go. I enter what feels like a deep parasympathetic state and actually fall asleep or nap. Every. Single. Time. That, to me, says everything. You don't need a perfectly designed environment to relax when you are in the hands of someone whose expertise allows your body to feel safe. Dr. Chen was not only my acupuncturist during an incredibly difficult chapter; he was someone I trusted when I was scared and didn't know what to do. I am deeply grateful that I found him. I love him and his wife Jenny and refer everyone to them!

First Time and Great Results!…read more Hurt and shifted a disc in my lower spine. I was referred by a friend to CYY for a first time experience for Acupuncture. I tired compression braces, aleve, Icy hots, Solonpas patch's, yoga rollers, exercises and I kept re-injuring my lower back (3rd time). When I made my first visit I was on my 7th day of recovery and was not able to stand straight without a compression brace. Lower back was completely loosened after visit. 2nd visit I was able to move with full motion, no back brace. I stand all day and do mfg work so I highly recommend this place if you need to recover fast. Price was very affordable, since I spent about $125 at target for all the braces and medication. My lower back loosened up in one visit and I had a second to fully be able to twist. I feel I had a lot of pressure release with the acupuncture and cupping. You can feel the relief if you are hurting really bad. Highly recommended thank you CYY!

Magie exceeds them all, not just in technical mastery, but in presence, intuition, and depth of care. Her understanding of the body is extraordinary. But what sets her apart is the way she listens to symptoms, to story, to what isn't being said. She has supported me through physical healing, emotional transitions, and spiritual growth. Her treatments don't just "address issues" they recalibrate the entire system. And perhaps my favorite quality: her humor. There is something profoundly healing about being able to laugh in the middle of life's complexity. I believe humor is one of the highest forms of character and Magie embodies that.
