I have been using Greens for about a year, and have found them to be very cordial and accommodating! I had been buying my special dog food from another store, but they never kept it in stock, and always a hassle to order! Greens got it for me and keeps a good inventory at a competitive price! Owner has enlarged the store and increased the inventory! She has always been very helpful to me! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We have come to this shop many times for turtle filters and supplies and bought a baby corn snake 6 weeks ago. Little did we know he came with mite eggs under his scales. This was my first snake. I have never owned one before in my life and i told her so, and repeatedly asked all kinds of questions about how to care for him and what to expect. I stayed for an hour after buying him making sure i had everything I needed to take care of him. The managers sweet coworker answered most of them with the manager piping in when she felt it was needed. Never once did they mention snake mites. I would have bought the spray immediatley that day if i had known. The last couple weeks he had not been eating and had completely lost his appetite. I had been trying to not handle him as much, trying not to stress him out. He was a burrower, so he was always covered in substrate and was not soaking as some snakes do to try and drown the mites. After he wouldnt eat again last night, I opted to handling him. I realized he was very lethargic and something was moving on him. I realize that an experienced snake owner would have seen the signs alot earlier, but i was just trying to do my best to help him. I looked it up online and it said to soak him asap to drown the mites and that we needed to get a spray. It was late at night so I was going to buy it today. But he died in my hands before i could do anything else. Today i came to the shop to talk to her about it, and she proceeded to tell me that it must have been flies getting to him that gave him the mites. I assure you there havent been any flies in his enclosure, and to top that off, everything i read last night had told me that the mites from flies are not the same as snake mites. I get it that you shouldnt believe everything you read online, but i looked at many sources the rest of the evening and they all agreed. She refused to work with me. I dont think any snake could replace fireball, but I did ask her what we could do as far as maybe getting another one. She refused to do anything about it and kept blaming me. She mentioned their life cycle and how it had to be me, except that for mites to be fatal they had to be feeding on him for a long time. One would say more than one life cycle. I would say, and other snake owners im friends with say so too. She really showed me how she does business today. I used a credit we had in her shop, and i wont be going back. Ive seen that she responds to these comments from time to time, but idc what she has to say. I asked for all the information i needed to know and i was not given the one piece of information i needed. I will be buying another snake from somewhere else, and I'll know better now. read more

They're never there and they keep changing store hours now they don't open till 12:00

The only reason I gave this one star is because I can't go lower. I have bought animals from them in the past, they were infested with mites that the owner supposedly didn't know about. I only found out after getting home and handling the animals, since you aren't allowed to in store. They did give me a free bottle of mite treatment, but it didnt work and I lost both lizards. However, I'm writing this tonight because for the second time this year the owner has been unbelievably rude and hostile towards me and now my husband. All because my husband has a service dog and I am training one. She asks for incorrect documentation and when informed that there is no legal documentation she told me I was wrong and then asked for another type of documentation. Again I told her there was no legal documentation or certification according to the ADA federal laws. She then assumed the dogs were for anxiety, they are not. Before we even entered the store she was hostile and confrontational. She argued longer with us than we even needed to be in the store. Even though her prices are super high I used to give them my business instead of the chain store in town to help support local businesses, even though I will NEVER purchase another animal here. After this I am done and will NEVER purchase anything from this store. I would rather drive to another town then give her a penny out of my pocket. I also spoke with others in town who have service dogs and she treated them the same way. read more

There aren't many places where you can still find a good ole fashioned pet store! There is no one as knowledgeable as this owner! Animals, reptiles, birds, rodents and fish...she knows so much about all of them and more! She's practically an animal whisperer! No kidding! The store has been completely redone, she personally does all of the habitats herself and handles all the animals herself too! The store is super clean and all of the animals are very well cared for! Not to mention, they carry some of the BEST foods for dogs and cats that you CANNOT get anywhere else!!! She also carries specialty pet treats, special CBD products that can be very helpful for your pets in many ways! She of course carries collars, leashes, harness's, pet clothes and shampoos, brushes, etc! People even come from out of town to buy things from Greens in Granbury, Tx. This is a fun store! The people are friendly and educated about their products and they have an amazing variety of food, treats, fish, toys, pet accessories, habitats for reptiles, fish, etc., pet clothes, gourmet pet treats, heat lamps, bedding and so many other things ---- anything you want! Their prices are a little higher, but, hey - you don't have to drive to Fort Worth or Weatherford (which all evens out when you factor in gas prices) and they have anything you need for all your pet care needs - whether domestic or exoctic! I take my dog with me every time I go because she likes to look around, too, and they always welcome her! On my last trip I bought crickets to feed our tarantula, fish food, chicken flavored toothpaste for my dog, a collar that I customized with "Bling" letters for our dog - and some gourmet pet treats!!! They have EVERYTHING!!! read more

Great place well ran and has a lot to look at. From birds to fish to lizards and hamsters etc. Was helped by two women and they helped me with everything we needed for our tank. Even took time and showed me how to install backing. They even offered to help me find my next fish even if it was not in the store. The things I really enjoy about places like this. I have always used this store, and take my very well behaved german shepherd in with me when I go. However today I was stopped at the door and told he wouldn't be allowed to enter unless he was a working dog, so we left. I was given no explanation as to why/when they decided to stop allowing dogs in the store. It's the only pet store I have ever been to where my pup wasn't welcome. read more

Sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Green. Stopped in today to find very sad changes. New owner was rude, loud and showed NO interest in customer service. Store was also messy. No puppies or kittens available for purchase. Overall weak selections of pets. Would not recommend anyone shop here. read more
