I was told a price on the phone for a certain metal (.50 cents) then when I get there and unload 800 pounds which I drove from out of town about a 3 hr journey. Instead of our house looking like a hoarders house, we come here instead. For plastics, all your plastic needs to be in a plastic bag. They sell recyclable "trash" bags on Amazon for a pretty good price and that's what we use because they hold a lot of plastic and it's thick. This location is especially great for renters. Other recycling centers you have to provide a water bill to be able to drop stuff off at the recycling center. If your a renter, your more then likely not paying the water/sewage bill. This one you just simply drive up and take care of business. No proof of residence. It's sad we as a community we have to drive out to recycling centers because of the lack of common sense the city has about recycling and trash services but thankfully we have these.

Yes, you will receive some cash for your metal (don't expect the proverbial gold mine, though). And you're helping a local business - plus you're reducing the volume of waste that ends up in landfills. Always very friendly staff here. Parking is adequate, since you're really not here for very long - they're very quick to take your metal, weigh it and pay you a set price per pound. Exiting back onto Kuykendahl (especially if you're heading south) can be a challenge, though. Keep that in mind when you're ready to leave.
