We used Greengold for our landscaping around the whole house. It turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend.

Greengold Landscaping came out for an estimate and discussed several ideas for the project. After the visit, we never received any follow-up, quote, or response despite waiting and reaching out. Unfortunately, it ended up being a waste of time on our side. I would recommend choosing a landscaper that communicates clearly and follows through with customers. read more

Greengold landscaping provides excellent friendly service. Anyone looking to have landscaping done should contact them. Lupe came over and provided wonderful ideas for plant replacement/refresh at a very resonable price. We are very pleased with the work completed. read more

This is the second time we've had Greengold do a job for us. Each time Lupe listened to what I wanted and then made suggestions to improve on my requests. His staff works quickly and efficiently and left my yard looking very nice. I couldn't be more pleased. read more

Lupe is a very knowledgeable and passionated about his craft-a true professional. Installed a paver patio and sidewalk where an existing flower bed was located, transplanting flowers. Project took 3 days. Reasonably priced read more

Started of great with loupe. Seemed like we were both in the same page. Two things need to be addressed. He said he was going to removed stones and add pulverized dirt to the yard before doing sod. He said it was needed. So I agreed. the second thing is the back yard which was seeded blanket. He told me the blanket was coconut husk and I didn't not need to remove anything just let it grow. It's been 4 months and nothing decomposed. The seeded grass is rough. Very thin and the netting and husk is still all over. I've watered it as much as possible and I have the water bills to back it. The issue is now I have birds that are getting stuck in the netting and dying. This needs to be fixed. read more

We used Lupe and his team for our pool project and in no uncertain terms it was the most positive experience that I've ever had with a construction type service provider. We've done a ton of projects in our house and it is one of the most frustrating activities that you can do, largely because you're at the mercy of a contractor who is sloppy and/or unresponsive. Lupe is a perfectionist and I've never seen anyone care as much about doing something RIGHT vs EASY and respond the way he did. Lupe is reasonably priced but if you look I'm sure you could find a slightly less expensive option but you get what you pay for and Lupe is worth every penny. I would HIGHLY recommend Greengold for any landscaping project you might have. FYI - I don't know why my location is showing San Francisco. We are in the Chicago market. read more

Lupe came and looked at the retaining wall work j have. But never came through with a price and never returned my calls or text messages. I think the retaining wall work I had scared him because I wanted the decorative wall to be level and not follow the shape of the yard. read more

I was referred to greengold by a neighbor. I needed my back yard sodded and some bushes planted plus also mulch the rest of my property and remove a dead bush i had in the front. Lupe gave me an estimate and at first i was a little shocked at the price but after calling several other companies he was the lowest for everything i needed done. They did a great job and everything was done as i requested. He even gave me advise on other parts of my yard that needed attention. I would definitely use them again. On a side note the man was very polite and very professional. read more

I had Lupe come out to to put in a grill enclosure, put sod around our new shed and put rocks around the one side of our house. He did a fantastic job and I highly recommend him. read more

We had a great experience with Greengold Landscaping! We added a patio/sittingwall/firepit to our back yard. They came and gave us a plan, they kept us posted on when work could start and their plan for their day to day progress. They had the city on board with timely inspections. They kept the work area safe, they finished the work on time and left our property in excellent shape. They take pride in their workmanship and it shows! read more

Very unprofessional company. They do not return phone calls or texts! I left several text messages to no avail.

Stay far away from Greengold. Way over priced and do not return phone calls or emails. Very unprofessional. Also they have an awful warranty and do not abide by what is written. Save your money and time and call someone else. In short, they provide many excuses and never a solution. read more

Lupe and his crew did a really amazing job with our landscaping, I love it. However, we spent 21k with his company and I will honestly never use him again or recommend him to anyone. Our first problem, he was halfway through the project and then stopped coming. He informed us while working on our project that he got a 40k project to complete after us, so I'm guessing he paused on our project to start on that. We had to threaten to not pay the remainder of the balance for him to come back and finish. Second problem, he does not stand by his work or his contract. He finished our project mid May and several of our perennials and almost all of our bushes have died already. He first blamed us for not watering them, which we did seeing how we just spent 21k. He then changed his story and blamed our dog's urine for the plants dying (we have a fenced off area of the yard and the dog is not allowed near the landscaping). He doesn't respond to texts or calls once he knows he has to come back to do work (especially if you're a female). He is creative and has great ideas, but we will never work with him again. read more

We hired Greengold to reconstruct a stone retaining wall. We are extremely happy with their work. The Greengold team arrived on time, completed the work with great professionalism, and cleaned up the site once finishing. Greengold' s pricing is very fair and their work is first class. We will be hiring them for future work. Beth S. read more

I hired Greengold Landscaping to clear my yard and spread dirt, sod, grass seed, and mulch. They were very easy to deal with and completed the work quickly and as I expected them to. My yard looks great! I will hire them again for future work. read more
