I am in my second year of membership. Only members and…read more**accompanied** guests are allowed. The is a great 60-acre facility with a 95 year history. All Members have attended mandatory orientation where the clubs rules are discussed in detail and passed background checks before being approved for membership. Because NWSA is self-policing, with range masters not always being present, guests must sign waivers and Members are responsible for the actions of the guests, including compliance with all rules. This is taken very seriously. The grounds are under 24 hour surveillance. If you don't approve, don't join. But if you want a great private facility for pistol, rifle, trap, and archery, attend a monthly membership meeting.

They have trap range and an inside range for handguns. Prices are very reasonable. You can get 50 clay pigeons just for 10 bucks if you are a Whatcom resident, or 11 bucks if not. Not a bad deal at all? Trap range I believe is 10 bucks for a daily pass. Inside range is also 10 bucks for a all day pass. The only "problem" that they have is that you have to use their ammo while firing your pistol. Ammo is also a little overpriced ($20 for 50 9mm rounds or $25-28 for 50 45 acp rounds). Other than that, it's great. Handgun rentals are $7 each, which seem reasonable. It's also about 10 minutes away from Bellingham, so that's a big plus. I would definitely recommend this place and will keep going there. Oh, before I forgot! They have this funny schedule they follow, so make sure to call them up to make sure they are open. I believe Police uses their range; and when they do, they don't want any civilians in there. Thus, they are closed to public during those days.
