I just envisioned some cocky, lackluster computer geek who thinks he knows everything; would overcharge and not know what he's doing having had his IT education limited to self taught HTML programming . But I didn't want to drive to Twin Falls and I hate the idea of really overpaying for a service like Geek Squad. I took my chances with the guy at Computer Machine Whisperer and was very impressed and a little upset with myself for having prejudice against small town computer geeks. He fixed it within an hour and didn't charge me a bogus "diagnosing fee" and I had really expected to pay at least 3x the amount. It turns out, I had gotten it backwards and the Geek Squad is actually the overchargers with lackluster, uneducated non-geeks. Poor guy at CMW might feel a little slighted at this review, but I assure you, this is a compliment to his establishment. Carry on!
