I originally was told 3 weeks -- fair enough, I was the one who procrastinated. The next day, lo and behold I see the owners son across the street on another job. He said he could come and give an estimate the next day. He arrived when he said he would. I showed him the project, patching or replacing a door jam. He explained pros and cons of both. I decided on the replacement of door Jam. It was the outside entrance to the garage. He did everything perfect. Every detail was done. Also at the last minute I remembered I had a separation of the trim attached to the siding on my house. I told him I would cover the cost, if he could seal it now because we are getting ready for the rain. He said no problem and it was done. He cleaned up all the wood sawdust and the old door jam wood, as well as some of my leftover dirt on my garage floor. I am very Happy. I am already thinking of my next project in the spring. Natalee was able to get me scheduled for an inspection the very next day, and Skyler showed up ahead of schedule (after checking in to make sure it was ok to be early) and finished the repair quicker than I could have hoped--despite the fact that the furnace is deep under the house, with a tiny access point in the foundation.
