I'm not usually one to make a review about something or someone unless, it is outstanding... above…read moreand beyond the normal service. I was in to see about a product or two at the Shoppers at 310 Fairway Rd. S. in Kitchener. It was a busy Senior's Day and the attractive lady in the skin care/beauty dept. was very busy attending to several customers. Even so, she cheerfully came to assist me and answered any questions I had about the products. This lovely, caring and knowledgeable lady was Christa Egi. That day, I became a regular at that Shoppers (even though I have closer stores), because of who Christa Egi is and how she so professionally represented her Shoppers store and its products.

I've tried to love this store since it's so convenient for me, but I'm just constantly let down…read more The pharmacy is an absolute mess. Myself, and everyone I know that's been to this pharmacy have had a terrible experience every single time. They're disorganized and have 0 concept of time management. Customer service skills are subpar at best, and the pharmacist owner is quite rude in my opinion. For the actual store itself, I'm often confused by the stickers on the shelf as they don't line up with the products and the stickers placed for Optimum Points are confusing and conflicting of each other. I can never find an employee besides the one girl who's working the makeup counter at the time, and not a single one of them is actually able to help. I asked to checkout there once because the main checkout was long, she wasn't doing anything, and I was buying shampoo and conditioner as well as feminine hygiene products. She refused to check me out and made me wait in the long line. I did attempt this once more and the girl did check me out, but rolled her eyes at me and seemed very annoyed I was asking her to do something for me that she gets paid to do. The worst ever experience I've had here was a few winters ago. As I was exiting the store, I slipped in a puddle from the melted snow (right inside the store at the exit), and I did minorly injure myself. I went inside to tell the girl at the checkout and turns out she saw the whole thing and was laughing at me. I told her they might want to clean it or put a mat before someone gets seriously hurt, and she blatantly told me to just be more careful. I didn't pursue charges because I simply couldn't be bothered, but I wish I did.

Shoppers Drug Mart - Vaseline - 50% off the regular price!

I visited this Shoppers Drug Mart a few months ago. It is a fairly new one in Waterloo with plenty…read moreof construction around it. It is close by St. Jacob's Market. I typically don't suffer from cracked lips. However, the corner of my mouth was dry and cracked. I needed some Vaseline. I didn't have any on me during my road trip. So, I stopped by this store. I was thinking that a small jar would be fine. The crazy thing is that the large 375 g jar was 50% off and was the same price as the smaller tub. I went with the large tub because that's how I tick. The clientelle tends to be older. There was an older woman who was paying for her purchases. The cashier was cheery and helpful towards this customer. It was refreshing. She was patient. I wasn't in a rush, so I liked witnessing the conversation between the two of them. When it was finally my turn to pay for my tub of Vaseline, the cashier thanked me for waiting. What wonderful customer service! I was pleased with my purchase and was thrilled that it was on sale. The tub is in my glove compartment, as I have the same sized tub at home. My cracked mouth corner has since vanished. Vaseline works, folks! (237)

The pharmacy in this location is good, the women who does my blister packs (my medication) is amazing! She is friendly, and goes over & above to make sure that everything goes properly and to make sure you get what is needed! The rest of the pharmacy staff seem nice as well and they are always helpful. I used to love the makeup section at this location but now their is new management in beauty and it's very different. I don't feel as welcomed as before, a couple of the ladies who work in that area are nice but a few don't seem to care and never have a smile on their face, including the manager, she seems like she hates her job and it reflects her work.. it's sad that the store has gone down hill.

I like to support smaller, local and independent stores and thought I'd give this pharmacy a try…read more The store is co-located with my doctor, so it was an easy decision. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this pharmacy. Despite calling ahead to renew prescriptions, usually days in advance, they'll often neglect to fill it and I'm stuck waiting. In fact this happens more times than not. Normally this wouldn't be too much of an issue. However, this pharmacy shares a waiting room with a Methadone clinic and it's often populated with some rather 'interesting' folk. Once, on a day off, I went in the morning. I was told they couldn't provide my prescriptions, as the pharmacist was 'stuck in traffic' somewhere. I waited 45 minutes before giving up and coming back later. They do offer free delivery service, but I'm usually unable to take advantage of this as you cannot schedule a delivery time. Their hours are terrible, which means I'm often running like crazy after work to catch them before they close at 6:30pm. They are open on Saturdays from 10 to 2 only. Closed Sundays. The selection of items (beyond prescriptions) is extremely limited. Their primary business is filling prescriptions. If you need toiletries, personal hygiene products, etc., this isn't the place. Finally, parking is terrible in the King/Cedar downtown area. There is a garage, but you may have to pay. Street parking is usually taken. There is bicycle parking, though given the reputation of the area I'm not sure that I would feel safe leaving a bike unattended...even if locked.

I did as I was told and still felt like dying. On my 3rd phone call was told to come bring my unopened bottles to replace them, thinking I would get ALL OF MY MEDICINE I was only given one fucking drink. Even though she told me to drive I it, they wouldn't replace my meds that they fucked up on and I had 1 drink in 4 days. Do they not realize how dangerous this is? Not just that but how often does this happen causing addicts to go back out on the streets to buy fentanyl so they can feel better because the pharmacy that we trusted fucked up? And of course I was treated like a piece of shit when I went to replace my bottle and she tried telling me I had already opened it!!! Trying to suggest I drank it and refilled it with juice. I was a cunt hair away from calling the police and charging them, and also 100% too everything in me not to kill myself with how bad my withdrawl was. I changed pharmacies right away as I never want to see those people again. SHOCKED AND OUTRAGED AND LUCKY TO HE ALIVE. ALWAYS WATCH AS YOUR DRINK IS BEING POURED TO ENSURE THE METHADONE IS IN THE DRINK DONT TRUST THE PHARMACIST LIKE I DID. SHAME ON ME FOR FUCKING TRUSTING A HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL TO GET MY SCRIPT RIGHT. HOW STUPID OF ME.
