It's not huge, and there aren't any amenities (eg a bathroom or playground), but if you're looking for a space to take in a bit of nature and wildlife, this is a gorgeous option. When we visited there were a few people fishing off of the deck, so if that's your thing, it may be worth looking into.

This is a huge park with over 900 acres of wilderness. There are several trails, a place for…read morekayaking, picnic shelters, and and even an obstacle course. They have one restroom area that isn't that particularly clean but it's still nice to have. There a few different places to start the trails. There are certain trails for bikes only. One thing that there are signs for all over the park is "No horseback riding." This is pretty much a flat surface for hiking and so it's nice for a quick walk. You drive down a long gravel road to get to the areas of where you can hike. There is a water area if you would like, and they also have maps. Great place to visit for some free, outdoor fun. Dogs are definitely allowed!!

Trails are flat - there's not a lot of incline so you can go far and it's pretty easy. Dogs are allowed on leash and loved sniffing everything. We didn't see anyone while we were there. I think it's not terribly populated or because it's so big that people can spread out, so it's nice to have some privacy and not be on top of other hikers. Bring bug spray if you're going during warm weather.

(I believe the cross city trail is connected) The size is decent, for the location, I can't complain! The main loop doesn't take long to walk and includes a scenic bridge. The bridge allows you to look below, and spot hungry turtles. You can tell people love to feed them, because they quickly move towards anyone standing on the bridge, in hope of being rewarded with food. Please, do not feed the turtles or any other wildlife. Bread is not a part of their diet and for more information, read the signs posted along the path explaining why it is harmful to feed wildlife. This park is located around water so be careful when bringing younger children. A fun playground was located near the restrooms and picnic area.

I was looking for a place for my daughter to get the energy out and, with good reviews, headed toward Riverwalk Park. It just so happened to be their Christmas market and fair - with face painting, vendors, special treats and games. My little one could have cared less about the aforementioned happenings. She cares about playgrounds and this park had one of the best we've seen. It was crawling with kids, so even better for entertainment! She played for hours. There was plenty of space, nooks and crannies for kids to run and do their own thing. The equipment all looked in good repair and the park was very clean. Everything is surrounded by mature trees so the playground was shaded during our visit. As lunch approached, we walked over to the water for some calm & relaxation. There are a couple of boat ramps, though I believe I was there at low-tide as one looked inaccessible. There were also a couple of swings to sit and look out over the water. I noted a walking trail as we were leaving and would certainly return to see the rest of the park. I was very impressed with my first visit here.

The 35 acre park has four baseball/softball fields, two basketball courts, two tennis courts, a shuffleboard and bocce ball court, horseshoe pit, picnic shelters, TWO playgrounds and a dog park. Pretty much everything. I did get a little bit of a walk on the walking trail. There is more than enough parking here and easy access from the roadway.
