This one at Long Leaf Park is wonderful and very spacious, but I do wish they offered more seating for the parents/guardians! Only 2 benches and not an inch of shade around. Fine for the littles running and playing in the water, but a bit brutal for those of us just monitoring on the side. Some even resorted to just staying in their cars and watching from the parking lot just outside the fence/splash pad area. According to their website it is open through September. A great *free* summer activity. Restrooms are located nearby too which was convenient. The park also offers playgrounds, walking trails, sports courts, and picnic shelter. My daughter had a blast at both the splash pad and playground and that was the goal!

The fact I lived in the area for over a year before checking this place out, severely disappoints me. It's beautiful! The loop has become a frequent running spot for me due to it's perfect one mile length and 90% sun to head ratio, along the way. It's always nice to have a breathe of fresh air, classy water features, and no lack of parking when pulling up to enjoy it all. Pretty much everywhere I've ever lived, the parks would not keep the nets on the soccer goal posts in fear someone would steal them or the weather would destroy them quickly. I am in positive shock each day when I arrive to see the nets still on all the goal posts, sandbags holding the bases, and knots tied tight - just like the pros! These soccer fields (located towards the backside of the park) are a casual, consistent futbol player's dream. I have to give props to the Ogden Parks & Rec for always keeping the premises in top notch condition. The trash cans are constantly emptied. Grass never seems to get anywhere close to out of hand. Tennis courts are swept and schedules are well organized. The goose and duck poops disappear almost as quick as they happened. And there's always someone riding around the area willing to help. The park is open from 8 am to 10 pm, daily. The skate park is only open 8 am to sunset, daily. The staff will lock all entry gates when closed. The dog park is an off-leash, fenced off dirt area, open from 8 am to 10pm. The park is available for hosting large events with an advanced request/payment. One event they've hosted annually here is the Food Truck Rodeo. Looking forward to attending other events in the future.

We came super early at 10AM this past Saturday and spent the whole day here. If we had not showed up at 10AM then we would have been in trouble. Today was the first day in the parks history that they closed it because of capacity. Half the beach was closed because a storm the night before washed it away. The price for one day is $40 dollars, but if it is a holiday then it is $60 dollars. You can get a year pass which is really the only way to do it if you plan on coming twice in a year. There are portable potty's, but I dislike how dirty they usually are so I didn't even bother to find out. Use the ocean for number 1 and pray that you don't need to number 2. The water on the north most part of the park is fairly gentle and calm to the beach side so it is perfect for setting up rafts or tubes. You can have drinks as long as there are no bottles present, or just dump them in a plastic cup. I am not sure when that part of the beach will be open again since the storm washed it away. The park is pretty clean and I saw a lot of people throwing stuff away in the blue bins like they are supposed to. The beach is dog friendly and you will see various cute doggies loose and about. There seems to be a lot of security as I saw trucks and quads with that slow po po crawl by pretty often. At least you will be safe. Also worth mentioning is that you can fish here. I saw tons of people throwing in a line or two and even some guys catching crabs not too far from shore.

Not much for younger toddlers except the baby swings on the side, a small slide, and an orange fish bridge that my daughter got a kick out of. Other slides and things to climb on seem great for ages maybe 5-12. I will say there were older kids/mostly teenagers there when we went at noontime during the week. There is a restroom and plenty of picnic seating for lunch after playtime. You wouldn't know this park was here unless you lived nearby or were specifically looking for it. It's not really on a main road or indicated very obviously in my opinion. As we drove in, we noticed that the grounds seemed pretty large and like there would be lots to offer--baseball field, campgrounds etc. Overall a nice park. My only qualm is that there isn't much for toddlers here.
